"I see you've got some smooth lines, but they need work, Danny. There ain't good enough. You have to try harder since your dealing with a fictional person here. Don't you love a good challenge?" Ariel had a smirk on her face, she really wanted to know if he was capable of being her so called 'dream guy'.
"Who says am being flirty? Maybe I am just being genuine."
"But you ain't are you? We only just met minutes ago."
"Only the best minutes of my life." Daniel teased.
"We haven't even gotten to know each other yet, but that can come later though, food first." Ariel grinned.
Daniel tried his best to suppress his smiles, he knew she was eventually going to fall for him, harder than she could imagine. He knew her weak point, she loved a caring guy with vibes and looks, he didn't need to be a genius to figure that out. He knew romance novels typically featured handsome guys with nice vibes, cool hair, rich and a touch of romance. He could be all of that for her. He really did enjoy her presence, and he wanted to go this road with her and see how it goes. She was pretty, she had the shape and most importantly she seemed genuine and authentic.
That was all he needed her to be for now. At first all this was a favour for Jessica, but now it was a favour for himself. He looked over at her and saw her eating without a care in the world.
She ate with manners and she didn't seem to mind the fact that she was eating with a stranger. For someone who had never been on a date she was very much well behaved and confident, maybe she could also be the one he would fall for, but he doubt it.
He wasn't really going to be a victim of having another person control his emotions. Coming to think about it, what Ariel said earlier made some sense. You could use your imagination to escape any shit you want to but he wasn't going to give her that affirmation.
Desserts where served and he could tell from the sparkles in her eyes that she loved sweet snacks, he made a mental reminder to woo her in the future with sweets.
After they were done with their meal he didn't wanted their night to end this early as they had only talked about random things while there ate.
"You craved so much for the food but I saw you try your best but ate only little." Daniel pointed out with a wide grin.
"I told you am not a big eater, I only eat little. You should be grateful because if we go out on more dates, the bills wouldn't be that much for you." Ariel joked with a small smile
"I don't mind how much I spend, I just want it to be on you."
"Your being cheesing and it's not working." Ariel laughed. Only her knew it was definitely working. "What do you mean by it's not working? I give out the smoothest line. I could even bet your romances novels can't be as good as me."
"You flatter yourself too much sweetie, you wouldn't even come near to any male leads in the novels I read. I feel like you should read a book I'd recommend for you, you'd thank me later for my help."
"Why the hell will any guy want to read novels?"
"Why not?? Boys with fictional vibes are the best." Ariel stated in a matter of fact tone.
"Not like you have dated any." Daniel rolled his eyes at her.
"Ouch, don't rub salt on my injuries okay? I haven't but I have a friend and her boyfriend equally reads novels with her, they are the sweetest couple ever."
"You always know a friend. When is it going to be your turn?" Daniel teased as he loved it when her cheeks gets red from anger.
"My turn would eventually come. But in the main time, I would enjoy watching when guys display affection to my friends. It is always so sweet."
"Not like you could relate though." Daniel mocked.
"Screw you Daniel." Ariel angrily cursed at him while glaring.
