Maybe this Ariel girl was what he needed to pass time a bit. Who doesn't love a good amusement?
All his life, girls always thrown themselves at him. He wasn't one to brag but he was very much good-looking, had a perfect body at age twenty-one, and was tall
Not to mention the fact that he came from A wealthy family.
Although he didn't let Jessica see what he looked like in real life, he sent her a blur photo of his younger self, claiming he didn't like taking pictures.
He enjoyed his natural friendship with Jessica and didn't want to ruin it with his stunning looks so he had to do what he did best- LIE.
Jessica had mentioned it to him once about loving good looks, she claimed she was a huge fan of good looks so he didn't wanted to ruin the relationship they had as bro's. That was the last thing he wanted. She was one of the few girls who he had a pure relationship with and he didn't want to that to change.
He felt some what bad for Ariel because he was just going in for the fun.
He had many chicks but he didn't mind making Ariel the main chick for Jessica's sake that's if she were to pass the rich guy test. He chuckled at his own thought.
It wasn't like he was a horrible person or something; he just didn't believe girls could be loyal after Samantha broke him. He was just in for the fun of it.
On the other hand, Ariel sight in relief knowing they were only getting in because someone owed him a favour. That was great. She thought, as it may be harder for her to leave if he were to be a big shot or something. Which he wasn't apparently.
"Catch you up at 5pm then," she replied ending the conversation.
She lay on her bed as she pictured different possibility of what he was going to look like or how old he was. "Breathe, Ariel; you have got this." She coaxed.
She was interrupted by a phone call. Thinking it was Jessica, she picked up without hesitation.
"What now?" She asked with an obvious smile in her voice
"Ariel," a soft female voice called out from the other end of the phone making her seat up abruptly. She shifted the phone from her ear to look at the unsaved number on her phone, it was her mother!
She didn't save the number last time she called because her mother never really kept to one number. After three months she suddenly remembers she had a daughter? Was she Really serious right now?
"What's up?" Ariel replied without much emotion. To her, she was nice enough not to hand up immediately.
When she was young, they had a perfect family. Her mum, dad and herself. They weren't wealthy though, but she got what ever she wished for as a growing child.
She was only six when her parents fought constantly. The previous peace seemed to be like an illusion, it went away like it never existed. Then her mum claimed she had a job somewhere else and rarely came back.
She had ignored the fact that she had a little daughter. Her dad did majority of the care and upbringing till she left high school.
She decided to stay for a year or so before going to college just to catch some break. She felt like college was a whole new chapter and it needed your all to write this phase of your life so why not catch some fresh air why you can?
Her father was very understanding as always and agreed to let her.
She also suggested to move out so as to learn to stay on her own before college and as expected of her ever loving dad, he had been supportive as a father and agreed with her decision.
As she thought about all her father had done, she said a silent prayer for him.
