"Hey bestie," Ariel smiled sweetly at Jessica as she walked over to the sit next to her.
Even with a frown rested on Jessica's face, Jessica was still effortlessly pretty.
She had always felt inferior to Jessica in terms of looks.
Jessica had the perfect looks, she was the type of beauty termed as refreshing. She was the kind of girl who would make you turn around for the second time to take another glance.
Any time she spoke, her two dimples wouldn't hesitate to show it self to the world.
In terms of beauty, Jessica was just perfect! But her shape was quite normal, nothing really special. Even at this moment, with a frown rested on her soft features, she still looked pretty.
How she managed to do that, Ariel couldn't quite figure. Maybe she was just naturally blessed by mother nature.
"You forgot me once again. I was really low in spirit and decided to make a time we could meet up but once again you picked your novels over me and stand me up. Am I really your best friend Ariel?" Jessica pouted sadly as she asked. She was really mad at her this time.
"Am sorry jess, I really didn't mean to stand you up. You know me better than this jess, I was really caught up in my thoughts this time. And this is only the third time I have forgotten we had an arrangement, you make it sound like am always at it. Don't make it sound like I always do it. But for real, am sorry."
"That exactly why am mad at you. I know you well enough to figure out you finished another novel and started with your fantasies." Jessica glared accusingly at Ariel wanting to beat the weirdness out of her. She really didn't understand why she loved novels so much, she had tried reading it once and didn't even make it to the end of the first paragraph. Although, Ariel said she didn't make it through because she went for the wrong book, she felt it was just an excuse to defend her hobby.
"Alright you got me, but I promise it won't happen again, am for real this time. Now would you stop staring at me like you want to beat me?" Ariel sight at Jessica's accuracy, she really couldn't get away with lying when it comes to Jessica.
"Your always like this because you know i love you," Jessica said half smiling. Gone was the anger she had felt earlier.
"And this girl right here promise not to take that for granted. Happy now?" Ariel asked spreading her hands for a hug.
"Don't try to bribe me with a hug." Jessica smiled as she gave into the hug.
"So what was giving miss hot ass here a bad week?" Ariel smiled fondly as she knew something was bugging her best friend. She could see it in her eyes.
"Caleb and I broke up." She said with her head lowered as she played with her thumbs.
"So quick? Just when I thought it was going to last." Ariel through back her head as she laughed. She knew her best friend. Although, there were only eighteen this year, her friend has been in almost six relationships. She feared loneliness and was a huge fan of good looks. Once she had her eyes on you, she was going to get you without you knowing she wanted you.
That's how conny her best friend could be. But she thought this particular relationship was going to last because Caleb was a hunk and he somehow managed to tame her wild friend. They had been together for seven weeks and that's a huge plus.
She had always tried to change her friend's mentality that loneliness wasn't something to fear but Jessica always looks at her like she was crazy.
"Hey, stop laughing! This isn't funny, I really liked Caleb than the rest of my ex and you would have known what it feels like to loose a hot guy if you leave your fiction guys and face the real world. You got to stop being afraid of hurt!" Jessica said clearly pissed.
"Chill there fire cracker, we are here to talk about you not me, and besides I never did say I was scared of the real world. Let's order some drinks".
"Then get a man!! Prove you ain't scared." Jessica said provocatively as she called the waiter over to get them drinks.
"And why should I prove that to you?" She raised an eyebrow at Jessica.
"C'mon bit!ch we're almost eighteen and you don't know what it feels like to be kissed. How about you do this for fun, if you can last a month in a relationship, I'd stop playing around and get a good guy. How's that?" Jessica offered as she took the drinks from the waiter. She passed one to Ariel and held onto one.
"What will I be gaining if you stay in a relationship? That's your business not mine."
"That's a fair pont. Then how about I treat you to meals for a month. How about that?"
"Three months"
"Six weeks"
"Two months"
"In fact is only gonna be three weeks, I ain't your momma." Jessica said realising she was being played.
"One month. That's final."
"Fine! I hate bargaining with you anyways. And what if you don't last a month? You'd quit your novels." Jessica smiled sweetly.
"What the hell jess?"
"You can't back out now".
"Whatever, I'd win anyways".
"Good luck with that. But I must warn you, real guys ain't as simple as fictional guys. And I get to pick the guy." Jessica smirked evilly.
