Chereads / Thousand Pieces / Chapter 2 - Part 1-1

Chapter 2 - Part 1-1

He was asleep at the classroom table with his face in his arms, as usual. After a while, while he was rubbing his eyes in a half-asleep state, he heard many sounds around him. Since he was at school, he thought that the reason for this noise was the voices of students at recess.

For someone who spent most of his school days sleeping, hearing these sounds meant that classes were not over yet and he should continue sleeping. That's why he decided to lie down again to continue sleeping, but at that moment, he felt the wet and very uneven ground with his face instead of the cold and hard face of the bench on which he would rest his head. After all, even if he was sleepy, he could tell that this was not his classroom desk.

"This is not my classroom desk!"

When he got angry and stood up, he opened his sleepy eyes. When he looked at the situation he was in at that time, there was neither a classroom desk nor a classroom. More precisely, he was standing alone in a huge closed area, where there was not even grass on it, only wet soil, and he could not even see the end because of the darkness.

"I think I'm dreaming." he said, rubbing his eyes. The only thing that came to his mind at that moment was that he was in a dream. It was quite normal for him to think this way in this situation. The only explanation for him finding himself in such a deserted place when he was supposed to be at school could be that he was dreaming.

At that moment, he thought that the place he was in, the view he saw, everything was a dream. But...

This region, which was thought to be abandoned and devoid of any living creatures, began to fill with creatures of unknown origin. Suddenly, he was surrounded by creatures with a disgusting smell and a terrible appearance. Some stood on two legs like humans, with primitive weapons in their hands, while others stood on four legs, like animals, but with sharp teeth and terrible claws. Some creatures even had wings.

It was like being in a fantasy game, but the monsters looked so realistic.

He could not have guessed that this was a dream and that it would come true. Since he still didn't know what was happening, he just watched and didn't know what to do. He followed those terrible creatures with his eyes and saw them advancing rapidly towards him.

That's when he couldn't distinguish between reality and dreams. The pain they inflicted while eating their body parts raw could definitely not be a dream. The pain they cause is absolutely true.

"AAAAAA...IT HURTS!!!"

The last thing he saw before a painful death was his own blood appearing before his eyes. I continued to feel the pain and helplessness for a while. The ark of purgatory is in this infinite eternity. After standing in pain for a while in a pitch black area, he seemed to feel someone calling his name.

"B...BA...BARK...BARKIN!"

"That voice..." He should have died, but he continued to feel that intense pain as his eyes slowly opened. He jumped up in fear and anger and began screaming in pain. The moment he was eaten alive and dismembered replayed in his mind over and over until he lost consciousness and fainted. Even if it's not real. He could hear his heart beating abnormally fast. Tears were flowing from life as she continued to scream in pain. While all this was happening, he was so disconnected from reality that it was not possible to understand his name or who his voice was. He eventually lost consciousness and collapsed.

...

Even though he was a little healthier, when he opened his eyes again he felt the pain he had experienced, but this time it seemed like it was for a much shorter time. This time his condition was not as bad as when he woke up before.

"Where am I?"

He woke up in a comfortable bed... the ceiling of the room he saw was unfamiliar. When he stood up and looked, he realized he was in a hospital room. Remembering the pain he had experienced before, he found it quite normal for him to be hospitalized. While he was continuing to think in the hospital room, the sound of the only door opening in the room brought him to his senses. When the door of the hospital room opened, he could see the person coming when he turned towards the direction of the sound. It was obvious that the person who came had a formal appearance from what he was wearing.

When the lady who entered the room saw Barkın awake, she first remained silent for a while. She remained motionless where she was. She watched Barkın in detail, as if she wanted to make sure of something.

Barkın was wondering why the lady was looking at himself so carefully, but before he could get an answer, he heard the lady running out of the room she entered and going to call the doctor as if she had seen a miracle.

"Doctor! Doctor! Call the doctor immediately."

Barkın could hear the female nurse's voice from the far corridor. While She was trying to understand what was happening, she couldn't do anything, she was just staring strangely at the door of the hospital room. There were things he was curious about after seeing the nurse's attitude and demeanor.

"What just happened?"

When the nurse left, silence reigned again. When Barkın achieved this silence, he laid his head back on that soft pillow. He was afraid to sleep for fear of experiencing the same dream again, but this time he managed to relax a little more thanks to his soft and comfortable pillow. He wanted to forget everything and sleep right now. He felt very tired throughout the day. He closed his eyes in sleep. Just as he was about to descend into the world of dreams in perfect comfort and silence, the door of the hospital room opened once again with a loud noise.

Just as he was about to fall asleep, he was so frightened by the sound of the hard door that he jumped up.

"Isn't it a hospital?" yell. When he turned to look at the door to see who the rude man who angrily opened the door was, he saw another young man in a white coat.

"Look doctor, I told you. The patient woke up."

Whether it was the nurse calling the man or the man's white coat, it was obvious that he was a doctor. Even though he looks very young.

Just as Barkın was about to ask for an explanation of this situation, the young doctor ran to him before he could open his mouth. After the doctor asked the nurse with great excitement and enthusiasm to hand over his instruments, the doctor had already started the examination without giving Barkın a single word.

The examination, which started with examining his throat and looking at his eyes, suddenly turned into examining his entire body in minute detail.

"What's happening?"

"Hey, hey, why are you taking my top off?"

"Stop, don't pull my pants down!"

"Don't look there so seriously!"

"Do not touch me!"

"This attitude is very wrong!"

Barkin was trying to stop the doctor by speaking as loudly as possible. He was waiting for an explanation of his condition, but the doctor was too focused on his body to hear him, and as if that wasn't enough, he shouted, "There's no wound!" said. cried the doctor. He stood up proudly. The doctor had a big smile on his face and was as happy as if he had taken the first step.

"WHAT'S GOING ON?" Barkin shouted once again. His patience was now exhausted. He was out of breath from constantly talking and shouting loudly to stop the doctor or get an answer. He was angry, very angry. He was ignored, his questions were not answered, and he was left naked without realizing what was happening.

Barkın, who was not embarrassed at all when the nurse saw him naked, nervously took the clothes he was wearing and started wearing them in a corner away from the doctor.

While Barkın was putting on his clothes, the doctor got out of his thoughts when Barkın shouted and looked at Barkın in surprise for a while. He nodded, as if he was sure of something, "Don't you remember anything?" asked.

"What?"

Upon this reaction, the young doctor, who was sure that Barkın did not remember anything, asked: "Could it be memory loss?" asked. he asked himself. He started thinking out loud. After thinking for a while, he started to tell Barkın what happened.

So Barkin was finally able to learn something about his illness.

According to the doctor's statement, he remained in a coma for a month and lived in a constant struggle for life and death throughout this month. The doctor learned that Barkın woke up normally at the end of this month and heard that this situation was considered a miracle for the hospital.

"This situation is a miracle for us. It never occurred to me to ignore you. I'm sorry about that." After explaining the situation, the young doctor apologized for unintentionally ignoring him. However, Barkın did not hear the doctor apologize. His mind remained on what the doctor said. Because he couldn't believe what the doctor said. Although he thought he would stay in the hospital for a few days at most, he could not believe the doctor telling him that he was in a coma for a long time, like 1 month.

"Are you sure it's been 1 month?" asked.

To my surprise, the doctor nodded yes once again.

"What happened to me?" Barkin wanted to know what was going on.

The doctor seemed unsure whether to answer at first and didn't seem to know how to explain. When Barkın noticed the doctor's behavior and movements, he persistently wanted to find out what happened. When the doctor did not answer, he insisted that he had the right to know his condition and finally got the answer he wanted. But he didn't like the answer he got.

The doctor began to answer Barkın's question in a simple language he could understand.
