Chapter 2 - chapter 2

I struggled to stand up but Romeo pressed his foot on my face rubbing my face on the dirt.

" Wassup bat" he smirked.

"Let me go " I continued to struggle.

" Save your breath kiddo " Jake one of Romeo's friends spat.

"I missed you so much Miles, didn't you miss me." Romeo pouted.

"Let go of me you twisted psycho" I screamed.

"Take the sheriff's kid. We don't want to get in trouble with his stepfather."

"No! Miles... please don't hurt him!" Theo screamed, kicking his legs in the air while Romeo's minions dragged him away.

Romeo picked me off from the floor effortlessly. I clenched my teeth tightly as I panted heavily, something was building up inside me and I could feel it.

"What's with that look fam, come on don't tell me you are mad."Romeo tapped my jaw.

I clenched my fist trying my best to calm myself because my mom had always warned me to stay away from trouble.

"What is this." Romeo yanked my mom's necklace off my neck and I lost it. I got up instantly, my head was spinning and I was so angry.

"Give me back my necklace," I said my voice, devoid of any emotion.

I took a step forward, and he quickly retreated, stepping back. I could feel his emotions and at that moment he was scared.

I took the necklace and grabbed his throat .it all happened so fast that he didn't have time to react.

"Man, he choked and said, 'You've got your stuff, let me go". He struggled to get out of my grasp but I pressed on harder.

I couldn't hold back, no matter how much I wanted to. The torment, the bullying, it fueled my anger. I could sense an otherworldly power coursing through me as my nails morphed into fearsome claws.

I was consumed by a single desire: to bring an end to Romeo, nothing else mattered.

Adrenaline surged through my head and I growled, hands raised, ready to strike and unleash my fury, I felt a sharp pain in my head and it all went blank.

I slowly opened my eyes, and my senses heightened as I took in the world around me.

I blinked repeatedly, my eyes adjusting to the dim light of the room. The sound of a calm voice reached my ears, saying,

"You're finally awake."

I tried to stand up, but I lost my balance and ended up falling back.

"Who are you" I spoke with a curious tone.

He grabbed my hand and helped me up, allowing me to see his face clearly, and my oh my, he was a sight to behold! His skin was smooth, and firm, and those deep blue eyes, were simply enchanting.

He looked like a real-life fairy, absolutely gorgeous! His silver hair fell over his face.

He leans forward "My name is Alaric, I'm an old friend."

He had this strong yet familiar presence.

" Why did you kidnap me."

"Kidnapped ?" He raised a brow.

"Don't you remember what happened earlier? He asked with confusion written all over his face

"I saved you from making a decision you would've regretted."

"I don't understand."

"You almost lost control and killed someone."

I was completely taken aback, my eyes blinking rapidly in confusion. It was as if my brain couldn't process what was happening, leaving me feeling disoriented and lost.

" Did I lose my memory" I mumbled. The last thing I remembered was being bullied by Romeo and his gang. Where was Theo I thought.

" It happens to all werewolves," Alaric said.

"Werewolf?" I said, sarcasm written all over my face.

This is gonna be harder than I thought."He let out a deep breath

"There's no such thing as Werewolf," I spoke, skeptically eyeing the man with suspicion. He seemed completely bonkers.

"Listen to me kiddo, you are a Werewolf not just any werewolf you are special. Which makes you more of a target."

"The covens are coming for you" he added and for some unknown reason, I felt fear.

" Do you know how crazy you sound? I barely know you and you're talking about witches, covens, werewolves" I ranted.

"so what.. you're gonna tell me you're a wizard."

"Druid" he cut in.

"Oh ..." I choked on my words.

"I am not doing this with you" I snarled.

"Doing what?" he said he was frustrated as much as I was.

"Having this crazy talk. My name is Miles Smith and I am not a werewolf. I don't know anything about a coven so please let me go.

I need to see my mom." I broke down.

"Calm down I will send you home but you must have it in mind that you are in grave danger."

I just stared at him, and he continued "Things are going to be different, your whole life is going to change."

"Do you mean that in a good way or a bad way?"

He looked dumbfounded for a second.

"both I guess."

The sound of rustling among the trees reached my ears and for some reason, my hearing and sense of smell were heightened.

"Something is coming, "I said slowly advancing toward the origin of the sound but Alaric was quick to pull me.

"did you catch a scent or hear something?" his expression filled with seriousness.

I listened and I could hear the sound of an animal running at a great speed. The thud of its paws hitting the ground echoed through the trees, while the leaves rustled and the twigs snapped under its powerful stride.

Alaric shoved me aside, slashing the creature with a sword that came out of his hand as it lunged from a hidden spot near the tree.

I was panting, my eyes locked on the lifeless beast that lay split in two.

&"What in the world is that?" I gasped, still trying to catch my breath.

"That would be a bloodhound," he said.

I turned swiftly at Alaric "What are you" I said In horror.

"I am a druid. I know this might sound confusing, strange, weird, or even terrifying but you have to listen to me, kid. you are not safe, besides the coven, another enemy you will have to face is your inner beast" he explained.

I was starting to feel a headache coming and I was getting dizzy. I blinked my eyes in an attempt to fight the drowsiness." what are you saying."

" Ask your mother, she has all the answers you need". Slowly he drifted into the darkness.

"Wait we are not done yet."

"Till we meet again, young wolf " his voice echoed.

I shrank into the dark, far from the light "Miles..miles " I could hear my mom's voice.

I opened my eyes and all I could see was my mom's face.
