'These fuckers…'
Both Aiden and Eden thought at the same time as the three started approaching him.
Aiden felt a sense of danger from them, as he could tell that they were trying to harm him.
"Do you know? You won't need to attend the academy if you are in a coma." The guy at the front said as Aiden prepared himself for any form of attack.
"See if you can even touch me. Bitch."
Aiden said as the three frowned.
The guy at the front reached his hand to his spatial ring, trying to take out something.
'This seems problematic.' Eden said feeling worried about their situation.
Aiden was clearly outnumbered.
"Catch him." The guy at the front said as the two guys beside him walked forward, trying to catch Aiden.
'I can just block them with the shield.' Aiden thought as he prepared himself to cast the shield anytime.
The two guys thought that he had already prepared himself as they extended their hand to catch him.
"Stop."
Just before the two could catch Aiden, they heard a stern voice from a distance as everyone froze on the spot.
'…I can't move.' Aiden thought as he looked at the two guys in front of him, who were also frozen on their spot.
He felt a gripping sensation on his neck.
'Is this some kind of skill?' He thought as Eden, who was observing it all, frowned.
Ding
[There isn't any kind of skill being used on you, host.]
'Yea Aiden. It's not a skill.' Eden said as he looked at the individual responsible for it.
'What?' Aiden said as he looked towards the direction the voice came from.
'He is simply using intimidation.' Eden said as the voice rang again.
"Any unauthorized act of violence or use of skill is strictly forbidden within the area of the academy."
The voice said, but this time, no longer sounding any stern or intimadating as Aiden felt the gripping sensation fading away.
Balancing himself, Aiden looked at the three guys who had troubled looks on their faces while looking at the individual.
'Who is he?'
He thought as he observed the individual.
Standing tall with dark hair and eyes, the individual stood still with a sword on his waist as he took some steps and came closer to them.
"Is there any disagreement here?" He asked with a casual tone as he looked at the four cadets' faces one by one.
"…N-no there isn't any disagreement. Hey, lets go." The guy who was trying to take something out from his spatial ring said as he and the two other guys quickly left the scene.
"Tch. You're saved because of this Lenon family guy, but we will get to you soon." The guy whispered the threat to Aiden as Aiden looked at him with a strange look.
The three of them soon disappeared from the scene, leaving Aiden alone.
'What do I do now?' Aiden thought as he turned to look at the guy who drove them away.
He kept quiet as he just stared at the guy.
"Be careful."
The guy said as he simply nodded his head and walked past him, leaving the scene.
'Eden.' Aiden called out as he also started walking, continuing his journey to his destination.
'Yes?' Eden answered already expecting what Aiden was going to ask.
'What did you mean by that?' He asked.
Sigh
Eden sighed.
'Exactly what I meant; that guy wasn't using any skills or magic; he was simply intimidating you with his presence alone.' He said as Aiden frowned.
'How did you know that?' He asked, making Eden rub his temple.
'Because I have experienced this before when I took over your body.' He said as he tried to explain.
'You remember the test you had with that fucker.' Eden said as Aiden instantly understood who Eden was talking about.
For some reason, Eden called the citylord Enel Belur a fucker.
Even though it was mainly Aiden who suffered many pains from him during the test, it was Eden who ended up hating him even more instead of Aiden.
'Yes,' Aiden said as he nodded his head.
'Yes, at the end of the exam, when you had lost your consciousness and I took over, I felt the same neck gripping sensation, or even stronger than you did today. That time, he was using it like his last card to make me unconscious.' Eden said as he rubbed his head.
That was a hard position to be in for him, added with the fact that the body was badly injured from the black lightning.
'…I see.' Aiden thought as they stopped talking for the rest of his journey to his destination.
…
Walking through the hallway, the black-haired guy from earlier entered the big hall where the ranking of cadets was being revealed.
Tap Tap Tap
As soon as he entered, every cadet stopped what they were doing for a moment as they looked at him walking through the crowd of people to a certain table.
"Hey, isn't that the guy from the Lenon family?"
"Yes, he is."
"Poor guy. He must have been traumatized."
"My family at home wanted to know what happened to him."
"But to get done by those lowly creatures, his family must have been strong only on the news and papers."
"Haha. Pathethic."
Whispers about him spread around the hall as he simply ignored them and walked past the people.
The whispers were mostly of bad talks about him and his family that had gotten into a big accident a few months ago.
Tap tap
Keeping his expression cool, he finally reached the table.
"Congratulations, lady Lavender, on getting the first rank." He said as he put his right palm on his heart and bowed his head.
"Hmm, congratulations to you too, Max. Getting ranked second should help you earn some favors from those old geezers."
Sitting on the table was a lone lady who wore the most lavish dress out of all cadets in the hall; it was of golden color, making it seem like it was a dress made of gold itself.
Her face looked a little pale, almost as if she were sick, but everyone knew that wasn't the case.
Her fair blonde hair was tied in a braided updo manner as her blue eyes glistened with liveliness.
"Listening to their whispers and chattering was almost making me want to slice them up to pieces. They should be glad you came right before I did that." She said as she smiled at Max, who simply shook his head.
"Doing so would deem you a criminal, Lady Lavender." Max replied as Lady Lavender's smile grew wider.
"HaHaHaHaHa. Yes, of course." She broke out in laughter as she gestured her hand to a chair, signaling Max to sit in it.
Max nodded his head as he sat on the chair.
Lady Lavender sipped on the red juice from the glass as she looked at Max.
"So, what took you so long?" She asked as she looked curiously at the diligent Max, who was usually on time.
"I ran into some cadets bullying another cadet." Max replied without any interest in the topic as Lady Lavender nodded her head.
"They have already started discriminating against lower ranked cadets, I see." She said as she sipped on the juice.
"Do you know who they are?" She asked just to further the conversation as Max became silent for a moment before replying.
"The kids from the Belur." Max said as Lady Lavender became speechless for a moment before smiling and replying.
"Aron Belur, wasn't it?" She said as Max nodded his head.
"Another outcast in this high social hierarchy; I wonder what his take is regarding this current social situation." She said as Max lowered his head, looking at the red juice on his glass.
"… He seems to not care about society. When he was looking at me earlier, his eyes were distant and cautious, as if he was warning me to not get closer or even speak to him." Max said as Lady Lavender nodded her head.
"I see." She said as both of them nodded their heads, changing the subject to other matters regarding their future actions and plans.
"So, what is the news?" She asked as the vibe around them became grim.
"…They are acting even more aggressive and playing with humans' lives… They definitely seek war." Max said as Lady Lavender frowned.
"What are the old geezers planning?" She asked.
"…They are carefully plotting their next move. But it seems the bill of agreement to war has been agreed upon by almost half of the council."
Crack…SHATTER
"What are those old geezers thinking?"
The glass that Lady Lavender was holding shattered as her blue eyes became bloodshot. The red juice that was in the glass dropped to the ground as it spread around like blood.
"They are playing right in the hands of those cunning creatures. They should know it the best: how devilish those beings are... That Demon race."
