Ding
[Goodmorning host. It's morning.]
Opening his eyes, Aiden saw the blue screen as he rubbed his eyes and woke up from the white bed.
'…I feel comfortable in this room.'
Aiden thought as he looked around in this small room of his.
It was one of the basic dorm rooms provided by the academy. It had a medium bed and a little space to walk a little, and that's it.
It may be too little, but Aiden preferred it that way. He would have felt too uncomfortable if it was like the room back at the mansion.
'Ok ok. Stop singing praises for this room and get ready already; you are getting assigned to your section today.' Eden, who was sitting at the chair, said as he had grown tired of how Aiden always started to praise his room.
"…"
Aiden became silent at the mention of the section as he took a deep breath and stood up, heading to the small bathroom to get fresh.
…
Clack
Chitter Chatter
As soon as he opened the door of his room, a lot of cadets, wearing the exact same grey and black dress as him, were walking past his room as Aiden got out and started walking along them.
There were other cadets too who were just walking out of their room, some looking excited while others looking nervous.
There were a total of three thousand cadets enrolled this year, and yesterday, everyone got their ranks that were based on their performance in the exam day.
A blue paper was handed to everyone with a specific number in it.
'No matter how much I look at it, it still feels demotivating to look at.' Aiden thought as he took out the blue paper and looked at it.
[2999]
Out of three thousand cadets, he, or more specifically, the previous owner of this body, was ranked the second to last.
'To me, it's more interesting every time I see it. I wonder what he did in the exam.' Eden said as Aiden nodded his head.
'If I'm correct, this paper should act as a key for many things in this academy.' He thought as he flipped the paper.
[2]
'This means I'm in section two.'
Aiden thought as he raised his head to look for his way.
Whoosh
'Huh?'
As soon as he took his eye off the paper, the paper suddenly slipped from his hand as it took Aiden by surprise.
'…What the heck?'
He thought as he looked in front of him.
The blue paper was floating in front of him, taking the form of a blue-colored arrow.
'Is it… is it trying to take you to your class?' Eden said as the arrow started to move forward.
Aiden quickly followed the arrow as he got a lot of stares from the cadets that were around there.
Some cadets quickly caught on as they took out their own blue paper, which also turned into a blue-colored arrow and led them to a specific class.
'I don't like this.' Aiden thought as he awkwardly followed the blue arrow.
'Why? You don't like them watching you?' Eden said as Aiden nodded his head.
'I was thinking something from yesterday's incident.' Aiden said as Eden tilted his head.
'You mean the three relatives attacking you?' He asked.
'Yeah. You know, they knew the person that belonged to this body. Not only them, but there are a lot of people who do.' Aiden replied as Eden still didn't fully understand.
'What of it?' He asked as Aiden answered.
'If any of them knew the person personally, I fear they would know that I'm not the real one and report me.' Aiden replied as he turned left, following the arrow.
'…I see. You've got a point.' Eden said.
'Yes. I know that the five-star skill that I got from Biju helps me to prevent anyone from looking into me, but that doesn't mean I'm completely secured.' Aiden said as Eden nodded his head.
'I see. Anyway…'
Aiden was tunneled vision from only focusing on the arrow and Eden as he forgot about his surroundings.
'….you are about to bump into someone.'
"Huh?"
Thwack
"Agh."
'…Fuck you. You waited until the last moment to cause this, didn't you?' Feeling annoyed, Aiden cursed at Eden as he took some steps back after the collision on someone's back.
'I don't know what you are talking about.' Eden shrugged as Aiden felt even more annoyed.
'Also, who the fuck stands right at the door?' He thought with annoyance as he looked in front of him.
As soon as he did so, he froze on his spot as the guy in front of him nodded his head.
"I'm sorry for that."
It was Max Lenon.
"No problem." Aiden replied as he also nodded his head and quickly walked past him.
[Section 2]
Walking inside the class, Aiden was met with a slide-like internal with desks placed in a curved way through the stairs like ground. The class was also very big, just like a hall.
Tch
'Hmm?'
As he tried to go through the desks, still following the blue arrow, he heard a tongue clicking sound as he noticed something.
'…Everyone is staring at me.' He thought as Eden frowned.
'Fuckers are looking at you as if you are an outcast.' He said as Aiden quietly followed the arrow.
The arrow floated until it reached the very back of the class. After reaching the back, the arrow floated above a seat that was right beside a window and turned back into the paper.
'So, this is my seat.'
Aiden thought as he sat there, looking forward.
…Thwack
'…Huh?'
As he sat still, waiting for something to happen, he felt something light hit his head as the thing bounced in front of him.
'…A paper ball?' He thought as he looked at the general direction the paper ball came from.
Snicker Snicker
As he looked in the direction, he saw some people snicker with each other as he wondered if they were the ones who threw the paper.
'Why though?'
Aiden thought as he looked at the paper for a second and opened it, wondering if they had something written on the inside.
'…Nothing's written here.' He thought as Eden facepalmed and shook his head.
'Don't turn a blind eye and just accept the reality.' He muttered as Aiden sat still after hearing that for a moment.
'…So they indeed are bullying me.' He thought as he looked at the paper.
'Heh. Hilarious.'
A rare smirk formed on Aiden's mouth as his eyes curved a little. It was as if he was mocking them with his eyes.
'They should try harder if they want to humiliate me.'
He thought as he crumpled the paper and threw it away, out the window.
'Tsk. I'm getting embarrassed for them.' Eden said as he shook his head in embarrassment.
Seeing Aiden, the cadets who threw the paper felt unsatisfied as they gnashed their teeth.
'Hmm… So that guy is also in this section.' Aiden thought as he saw Max walking in through the door.
…
Chitter Chatter
It had been a while. The class had been completely filled as Aiden observed the sheer number of cadets in the class.
As usual, they talked with each other, made friends, isolated someone, and picked on the loners. Such and such.
Ding Dong
As he was looking around, the clock on the wall made a huge sound, taking him and some other cadets by surprise.
Bang
As the clock made the sound, the door to the class that was closed suddenly burst open as a lady walked in, wearing a sour expression on her face.
She was tall, wearing a furry scarf and a completely different attire than the cadets.
"Good morning, cadets, I'm your head teacher for this semester, Larsha Lamp."
The lady stood in front of everyone beside her own personal desk, introducing herself.
Chitter Chatter
As soon as the lady introduced herself, the cadets started to chat about her.
'…I don't think they should do that.' Aiden thought as he observed the lady's expression getting sour and sour by the time.
BAM
"SILENCE."
Slamming her palm into her desk, she commanded the room as everyone became silent in a matter of seconds.
"Speak a word again, and you are expelled."
