Thadius looked at the half burnt Ajax on the platform feeling admiration towards him. Kian similarly was excited and felt the need to howl to calm down. The Ma clan disciples felt proud of their clansmen.
Hercule also looked at Ajax and felt the need to make him his close friend.
The competition continued with Thadius winning four other fights without the use of battle heart.
Similarly Kian and the fully recovered Ajax also won their fights and entered the top hundered. It was almost guaranteed that they would become elite disciples but this wasn't enough.
Thadius still hadn't let loose. He wanted to feel his blood boil and fight at the edge of death. He was waiting to fight someone strong enough that would make him go all out.
It was Kain's turn and he was fighting a genius who had opened twenty accupoints. But this was not the issue, the problem was that the opponent had lightning meridians which are considered among the best of mutated meridians.
The opponent's name was Von Searing. He belonged to a small clan but with his meridians he already had the favour of a vice head who also had lightning meridians. It was a done deal that Von would become his personal disciple after the competition, entering the ranks of core disciples.
The air was tense, Von with his long flowing white hair and starry eyes had a confident demeanor. Lightning crackled around him from time to time. On the other side stood the bulky Kian with his honest and serious eyes. The referee gave the signal and the fight started.
Kian charged forwards Von like a raging bull but was stunned when Von appeared at his side with increadible speed. He struck Kian near his ribs.
Kian barely managed to stabilize himself and charged again. He used his unyielding art to the his current limit.
Alas Von was just too fast.
Von disappeared and and appeared behind Kian throwing a punch covered by lighting. The punch connected and Kian was thrown out of the platform. The referee announced Von the winner.
Kian had an innately strong body so he wasn't seriously injured but he was still quite dejected.
Thadius knew the reason behind his defeat. It wasn't that the gap between the opponents was too big, it was just that Von was a bad matchup for Kian.
Kian had terrifying brute strength and his family art amplified this strength but for him to properly utilise his strength he had to make contact with the enemy.
Von also knew this so with his speed he made sure that Kian wouldn't be able to fight properly and would be at a constant disadvantage.
Even though Kian was Thadius's friend he had to admit Von was pretty smart to play with his advantage.
It was finally Thadius's turn again and he was fighting Yon Tribirius. On the best among the new generation members of the Tribirius clan.
Yon was ready, releasing a heavy pressure and had a confident smile, on the other hand Thadius was standing with his carefree smile and relaxed demeanor.
Looking at his opponent although Yon was smiling he had a serious look in his eyes.
The first rule of fighting was to never underestimate your opponent and Yon was going to give it his all.
The referee announced the start of the fight.
