Vice Head Rotan Voce had full faith in Fiano's abilities. He believed Fiano would win.
Fiano had created his own art named Trident Torrential Art. He used a three headed trident as his weapon but this wasn't all.
Fiano had mid grade mastery over Trident Intent which made him far superior to the likes of Yon Tribirius who hadn't even mastered the initial level of spear intent.
He had opened twenty eight accupoints and could step into fifth meridian level anytime he wished.
He stood tall with his long silver hair swaying in the wind. He had a golden coloured trident with silver engraving in his hand. Just by looking at it anyone could see this weapon was not ordinary.
On the other side was Thadius. He no longer has a smile on his face.
He was wearing gauntlets on both hands. They were blood red in colour, the same colour as Thadius's eyes and had purple engravings. Rather than using weapons Thadius preferred using his fists.
His brain had filtered everything out and the only thing in his eyes was the tall figure of Fiano. He had entered battle mode.
The murmurs, the gazes of others he could feel nothing.
Thadius felt everything other than his opponent disappear. He didn't feel fear or excitement anymore. The only thing on his mind was the desire to fight.
"This might not be easy" thought Fiano. He felt uneasy because of the look his opponent was giving him
It didn't look like the eyes of a human instead Fiano felt like he was looking in the eyes of a beast waiting to punce on his prey.
The teachers and Vice Head's could also see the state Thadius was in. Needless to say all of them were impressed. They thought the fight would go in Fiano's favour but now they could see that Thadius would not give up easily.
The referee announced the start of the battle
Thadius and Fiano both disappeared, appearing right in the middle of the platform. Fiano's trident struck Thadius's fist.
The first contact sent shockwaves throughout the arena.
Fiano now knew he had to take this battle seriously.
" Let's not waste anymore time"
The trident on his forehead started glowing. Same thing happened with the trident in his hands
He jumped and barraged Thadius with continuous thrusts. To the audience it looked like shooting stars were descending.
The platform was made of mithril which was the hardest material found in Lariat Minor World. It was something that even seventh stage cultivators would have trouble breaking. Thadius's gauntlets and Fiano's trident were made of the same material.
The platform didn't have a single scratch but the audience was stunned. Most of them were in fourth meridian stage and they knew they would have trouble taking even a single one of there attacks but they could see Thadius deflecting every single one of these attacks.
In fact he hadn't moved an inch from his orginal position.
Fiano landed on the platform and both the opponents disappeared again.
This time they didn't stop after one move. They kept on appearing and disappearing like flashes.
The spectators cheered. They were all shouting and hooting unable to calm themselves.
Most of them couldn't even see the two on platform anymore. All they could see were their flashing images but because of the loud sounds they could tell that the two opponents were really going at each other.
Ajax And Kian were stunned.
What was Thadius's limit. This was what they wanted to know. Everytime they thought they could tell Thadius's power level he would surprise them again.
Jakon and Hercule were silent. It was now they understood that if Thadius wanted to become the Young Saint it was impossible for them to compete with him. Jakon knew if he was fighting against Fiano he would definately lose.
Hercule was two years older than Thadius and was in fifth meridian stage but still he couldn't guarantee his win against the two on stage.
Their strength and speed had far surpassed the fourth meridian level but they weren't finished.
They had completely warmed up.
Fiano decided to finally use Trident Intent.
His already glowing trident was envelopes in a golden colour.
He thrusted his trident forward and even though it was a single move it was incomparablly stronger than all of his previous attacks.
Looking at the incoming trident Thadius didn't back down instead he clenched his fists and threw a punch.
The trident and punch collided. Just when the teachers thought Thadius would go flying nothing happened.
Both Fiano and Thadius stood still. Their weapons were still colliding and neither moved an inch.
Similar to how Fiano's trident had a golden layer surrounding it Thadius's gauntlets also had a red coat.
The Vice Head's, the teachers and some knowledgable disciples were stunned because this was Fist Intent.
It wasn't just initial mastery either but mid grade proficiency.
The fight had taken an incredible turn.
Thadius and Fiano looked at each other knowing that the one in front of them was a true challenge.
It was time to get serious.
