He crouched and put his right fist on his left palm bending to his left side as if he was unsheathing a sword.
He waited patiently and allowed the attack to come since he knew the opponent 's spear intent had flaws.
The other academy students didn't understand what Thadius was doing but the teachers were all paying attention.
The vice head masters eyes were shinning as they watched how Thadius's didn't show a ripple of emotion. The headmaster was also impressed by his earie calm state.
Yon didn't know why Thadius wasn't retaliating but he couldn't care about this detail.

But it wasn't the students who were under the real shock. It was the master who were actually stunned because they knew what Thadius had done.
He targetted the weakest link of the enemy's attack waited patiently and struck him at precise timing.
All of this sounded simple but was damn near impossible for a teenager to pull off.
It didn't require just talent to pull this off but terrifying battle iq and experience gained by fighting hundereds of near death battles.
The vice head's were silent not because they were disappointed but because they couldn't understand how they could underlook such talent.

The result was announced and Thadius was declared the winner.
He smiled charmingly and made his way back to the stands with each student moving and giving him space. Even though they didn't know how he won they also knew they couldn't replicate it.
As for cheating, with the vice head's and headmaster himself present there was no way anybody could cheat.
