Chapter 20 - The Way of the Earth

Saor slowly woke up from his encounter with Micah, to welcome him many wooden primitive spears, each one of them pointed at him.

He was now surrounded by around twenty masked figures, what surprised Saor more was that they were all naked.

He lived a long life and at the start of it even he lived some years as a naked savage, but with the passing of time he became accustomed to the clothes and their comfort, damn even the Guardians of Magma had them.

But the Guardians of Flora were completely naked, their green veins giving a strong light to the surrounding, the faint light of dawn was behind them illuminating them.

They spoke a strange language, incomprehensible, soon one of them got closer to him, he had green hairs and a fit body, he gave his hand to Saor, a smile on his face.

After that Saor decided to go with them, it was way more pleasant then the travel woth the Guardians of Magma.

They gave him many fruits of the forest, taught him their language and taught him their way.

Their philosophy was that all nature must be preserved and that conflict must be evaded in any way possible.

After some months of traveling into the wildness he arrived to their village, a giant tree that stood at almost one hundread meters tall was at the center of the village, all around small huts were bult on the top of the trees.

Everywhere Guardians of Flora could be seen, they were many more than the Guardians of Magma, hundreads, if not thousands.

They all looked at him with eyes full of curiosity, the group of guards guided Saor to their council.

They entered in a temple made of quartz, built at the foot of the great tree, great doors were guarded by only two young Guardians.

After arriving the leader of the group that conducted Saor, Alex spoke "We need to talk to the council of the elders, it's about a very serious matter".

After looking at each other eyes the guard that spoke to Alex said "If the general says this, then I can't say anything".

Finishing his sentence the other guard opened the door "your way general".

The group and Saor walked in the long hall arriving in a few minutes in front of a white circular room, the roof was absent and the light of the sun entered naturally inside the room.

In front of the group stood a semicircular wooden table with six seats, each of them a mastepiece full of engravings, on the seets stood six Guardians, they looked sligtly older than the others and their eyes seemed to contain a much greater knowledge.

They differently from the other guardians also wore white robes and green drawings depicting a grand tree.

The look in their eyes was one of annoiance, the one that looked the oldest and was seeted at the far left talked first "General Alex for what purpose are you here?".

Alex smiled as he said "While I was controlling the far forests of the west I found a man, his name is Saor and he is harbinger of terrible news, please elders listen to him".

The elders face changed a bit, the oldest then said "If he must speak then let him say what he needs to say".

Saor understanding his time came started talking "Great elders of this beautiful village I need your help a terrible danger is lurking in the oceans and it won't be long before it comes to the lands, there are others like us, others Guardians and others Titans, united we can fend of this evil".

The council looked a bit stunned from all the informations Saor luched at them, after consulting each others for a bit the oldest talked again "Young man, if what you say is real then I'm sad to say to you that our village can't help you, we cast away violence long ago, the general of our army now is nothing more than a honorary title, we will consult the great mother Flora, then we will communicate you our final decision... for now you can stay in the house of General Alex since he seems so eager to help you" a glint of malice flashing in his eyes.

The elders then got up one by one before going inside a door that stood behind them, all that remained were Alex, his companions and Saor in a completely silent room.

The face of Alex red with fury, a tradition of their village was that only the promised ones could live in each other house, this was an offence to his honor, he would never forgive the council for this, it was time for a change.

Saor oblivious of this knew nothing of the problems he was creating with his only presence.
