As they exited the church, Liz anxiously looked around to make sure Maik wasn't nearby. Her hands were cold.
"Liz, are you sure everything's okay?" Henry asked again, concerned.
She reassured him, saying, "Yes, finally we're married."
He hugged her tightly and kissed her passionately.
The single ladies were calling for her to toss the bouquet.
"I'll count to three and then throw it..."
"I got it!" Penne shouted joyfully.
Everyone headed to the reception hall, where the newlyweds would greet their guests.
"And now the couple will have their first dance, to the song they chose when they were writing their vows: Nothing's Gonna Change My Love for You by Glenn Medeiros."
Henry and Liz danced to the beautiful song, and everyone around admired their love, the way Henry led her, and the way they looked at each other.
When the song ended, they kissed and danced to another one they had chosen. Then the dance floor was opened for everyone to join in.
After that, they cut the cake, took photos, and Liz said she was tired and hungry. They sat at the table reserved for the newlyweds, family, and the wedding party, where a special dinner was served.
Later, Liz asked her friend Penne to help her change outfits. Liz kissed her husband, saying she'd be back soon, and the two went upstairs for Liz to change.
"What are you going to do about what happened with Maik?" Penne asked.
"I'm not going to hide anything from Henry. I'll wait until we're on our honeymoon, which I still don't know where it is because it's a surprise."
"And I need to find out why I was left alone in that car for so long. The driver disappeared, and even the organizers were nowhere to be seen. When I managed to roll down the window, I asked a young woman to call someone, but I could only think of you. By the time Maik left the car, he went straight to his, which was parked across the street."
"I was scared he would do something, so I told him I was pregnant. And can you believe it? He said he'd take care of my child."
"Henry definitely needs to know what happened. I can't believe Maik would do such a thing! If someone else had told me, I wouldn't believe it."
"I might have suspected Piter, but never Maik, considering how important he is and how much he stands to lose."
"But Piter always had a lot of affection for us. The friendship was stronger. He would never want to hurt me, or Henry."
"You're right," Penne agreed. "But now go. You look beautiful, and Henry has waited long enough today."
"You have no idea how tense he was standing there. He only breathed easy when he saw you walking down the aisle with your mother. It was so beautiful to witness."
"I'm ready now. Let's go."
"And when you can, talk to Nick about what happened and see if he can find anything out since he knows Maik."
"I will… we'll do that. I promise, my friend. Now go be with your husband and rest. No more stress—it could be bad for my godchild."
"I love you so much, my friend. I'll miss you," Liz said, already saying goodbye to Penne.
"I love you too. After all, you're my beautiful little sister." They hugged.
Afterward, they went down the stairs, and everyone applauded as Henry went to meet Liz and took her hand, saying he wouldn't let go of it anymore.
Liz and Henry said their goodbyes to their parents, relatives, and friends, and then left for their honeymoon.
"Now, let's truly begin our life together, with one shared purpose."
"I love you so much, my wife, Mrs. Liz Morrison Carl."
"And I love you so much too, my husband, Mr. Henry Carl Neto."
The newlyweds boarded the plane and left for their honeymoon.
