"Leave," Anna said firmly, despite the pain in her foot.
But Margaret frowned at her words, clearly not used to being spoken to like that.
"Excuse me?" she replied, a mocking smile curling on her lips.
It was obvious she wasn't going to back down so easily.
"I said, leave," Anna repeated, this time with more confidence.
The other girls exchanged glances, surprised by Anna's attitude, but Margaret simply crossed her arms, raising an eyebrow.
"Do you think you own this place or something?" Margaret said, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
One of the girls next to her let out a nervous giggle and added,
"Yeah, who do you think you are? Maybe the boys you used to hang out with let you act like this, but we're not them."
Her tone was mocking, and Anna could sense the threat behind every word. They were trying to intimidate her.
