Chapter 22 - Thank you

Anna left the orphanage bathroom with a grimace on her face. 

The comparison between this place and the luxurious bathroom in the mansion she had been moved to was overwhelming. 

The orphanage bathroom was dirty, damp, and barely functional. 

The cold stone floor was covered in mold stains, the rough brick walls had cracks, and the air was heavy with the smell of mildew. 

There was only a half-filled bucket of water and a frayed piece of cloth to dry off with. 

In contrast, the mansion's bathroom had been the complete opposite: gleaming marble floors, polished mirrors, and large tubs filled with scented water that could be heated to the user's preference. 

There, servants attended to your needs, while here at the orphanage, there was barely enough water for each child. 

Anna sighed. 

´Ugh… I missed the simplicity of the orphanage, but not this´, she thought as she walked away from the bathroom.
