Just as Anna decided to approach the little girl playing alone in the corner, the sound of several voices interrupted her.
"Come on!"
"Haha, I'm going to catch you!"
"You're too slow!"
A group of kids burst into the room, making so much noise that the peaceful atmosphere instantly vanished.
Anna glanced over for a moment to see who they were, and when she looked back at the corner where the girl had been...
No one was there.
'What...?' Anna thought immediately.
She frowned, blinking several times as if she couldn't believe what she saw, or rather, what she *didn't* see.
The girl had simply disappeared.
Anna quickly looked around, her eyes scanning every corner of the room, but there was no trace of her.
Only the children, who were now chatting animatedly among themselves, not paying attention to what Anna was so intensely searching for.
No one else seemed to have noticed the girl.
