Chapter 30 - withdraw our contract

When Nivik insulted her in front of everyone, Sophia's sadness deepened. She glanced around and noticed the other girls laughing at her, whispering behind their hands.

"Did you hear that?" one girl giggled. "She actually thought Nivik would be interested in her."

"I know, right?" another replied with a smirk. "As if he would ever go out with someone like her."

Sophia's father, witnessing his daughter's humiliation, felt the sting of the insult keenly. His face reddened with embarrassment and anger. He could feel the eyes of his business associates on him, and the low murmur of their laughter cut through the air.

"Looks like he can't even keep his own house in order," one businessman chuckled.

"Quite a scene," another remarked, shaking his head in disbelief.

The room buzzed with whispered conversations and stifled laughter, the collective judgment adding to the weight of Sophia and her father's shame. Anvika and her supporters stood firm, while the atmosphere crackled with tension and unspoken scorn.

Sophia, overcome with emotion, burst into tears and hugged her father tightly. "No, she did it on intent, trust me bad. Anvik " she sobbed. "She's the reason I fell."

Her father's face darkened with anger as he glared at Anvika. This night had originally been about attending the party to network with his business associates and secure profitable deals, but now it had devolved into a humiliating spectacle.

He clenched his fists, his voice seething with frustration as he addressed Anvika. "How dare you treat my daughter this way?" he demanded, the sharp edge in his tone cutting through the room's buzz.

Around them, the laughter and whispers of the other guests faded as the confrontation escalated. The business buddies who had once been sources of potential profit now watched the scene with a mixture of amusement and pity. The shift in their demeanor was palpable; the respect and opportunities he had hoped to gain now seemed to slip through his fingers, replaced by the sting of public embarrassment.

The atmosphere grew tense, and Anvika, backed by her family and friends, stood her ground amidst the swirl of accusations and emotions.

The Sophia father glared at Anvika and said, "hey kid, go apologize for what you did right now."

When he demanded that Anvika apologize to his daughter, Anvika stood firm, her eyes unwavering. "No," she said resolutely, "Why ought I apologize for something that I failed to do?"

" You may truly do it, she falls, because of that crutch. "

. "I will never say sorry for something I didn't do."

Anvika's character shone through in that moment—strong, principled, and unyielding. She was not one to be swayed by intimidation or unjust accusations. Her deep sense of integrity guided her actions, and she would rather face the anger of others than compromise her values.

She held her head high, embodying a quiet strength that radiated confidence. This was a girl who stood by her truth, no matter the cost. Her determination was evident in the way she spoke and carried herself, making it clear that she would not be easily broken or manipulated.

As the room watched, the respect for Anvika grew among those who valued honesty and courage. Her stance, though it deepened the conflict, also highlighted her unwavering commitment to what she believed was right.

Sophia's father scanned the room, noting the mixed reactions of the guests. Some looked at him with pity, while others laughed and whispered, mocking his situation. The weight of their judgment pressed down on him, deepening his sense of humiliation.

His gaze shifted to Anvika's parents, who stood resolutely by their daughter's side. Their unwavering support for Anvika was evident, a testament to the strong bond and trust within their family. For a brief moment, he felt a pang of admiration for their unity and conviction. They were a family that stood together, no matter what.

But his pride and the sting of public embarrassment overrode any fleeting appreciation. His own anger and frustration took precedence, fueled by the laughter and disdain surrounding him. The evening, meant to be a stepping stone for business opportunities, had turned into a spectacle of disgrace.

With a hardened expression, he turned his attention back to the confrontation, determined to salvage what remained of his dignity, even as the room buzzed with the echoes of his social downfall.

Gabriel continued, glancing at Arya., Anvika's father, his expression hardening as he made his ultimatum. "If a child of yours failed to apologize to my child, we will no longer have the business working relationship between our companie will withdraw our contract," he declared, his voice cold and firm.

Gabriel believed that by threatening Arya, he could force Anvika to apologize to Sophia. He was certain that the prospect of losing the lucrative business deal would compel Arya to pressure his daughter into compliance. It was a calculated move, one he assumed would bring Anvika to her knees and restore his family's dignity in front of the gathered crowd.

However, Arya remained unfazed, his eyes meeting Gabriel's with a calm resolve. "My daughter will not apologize for something she didn't do," Arya replied steadily. "We stand by the truth, no matter the consequences."

Gabriel's threat hung in the air, the room falling silent as everyone waited to see what would happen next. The tension was palpable, the clash between personal pride and professional stakes creating an atmosphere thick with anticipation.

As Gabriel stood there, his confidence wavering, he realized that the integrity and unity of Anvika's family might be more formidable than he had anticipated.

Dhruv, standing beside Arya, stepped forward with a measured calmness that contrasted sharply with Gabriel's aggression. His voice carried a firm resolve as he addressed Gabriel and the assembled guests.

"I am cancelling the agreement on behalf of Arya," Dhruv declared, his tone unwavering. "Who are you to make such demands?"

Gabriel's face flushed with indignation, but Dhruv continued, his words cutting through the tension in the room. "We will not be associated with someone who uses threats and coercion to manipulate others," he stated firmly. "Our integrity is not for sale."

Arya nodded in silent agreement, his expression reflecting a mixture of disappointment and resolve. "We value honesty and fairness," Arya added, his voice steady. "Our decision is final."

The room buzzed with murmurs of surprise and admiration at Dhruv and Arya's principled stand. Gabriel stood speechless, realizing too late the repercussions of his actions. The evening, once filled with hopes of business success, now ended in a bitter lesson on the importance of integrity and respect.

Advik said right away, "What if I can show Anvika is innocent?"
