Chereads / Love in Silence: Falling for My Best Friend / Chapter 32 - What canceled it?

Chapter 32 - What canceled it?

It was made quite evident that Amelia purposefully positioned the crutch where Sophia may trip and fall. It is evident to everybody in the hallway that even.

Nobody is going to believe Amelia if she claims to have shed crocodile tears.

Father Gabriel of Sophia took offense, really believed what her daughter said, and even threw down the gauntlet to Advik.

Gabriel was insulted and lost for words.

Advik approached Gabriel right away and said, "Are you prepared to carry out my instructions?" Angrily, Advik's voice emerged.

Gabriel bowed his head and apologized, saying, "I was my daughter's guilt. She will immediately apologize to Anvika."

With a menacing grin, Advik added , "apologized profusely, she nearly raising her hand to strike her."

Gabriel clarified immediately that it was just a misunderstanding.

Aaravi furiously said, "Beyond comprehending, how did you condemn my daughter."

Gabriel, his face a mix of shame and desperation, stepped forward. "It was our mistake," he said, his voice strained. "I apologize on behalf of my daughter. "

Gabriel looked at Dhruv and Arya and stated, "I'm sorry, but I'm not prepared to cancel the contracts between our firms."

But his words fell into the charged silence of the room, their weight unable to shift the determined resolve of those he had wronged.

Dhruv stepped forward, his expression resolute. said right away that they had no desire in collaborating with them and that they have already canceled.

"It's too late," he said firmly. "We've made our decision. We will no longer engage in any deals with your company."

Gabriel's face fell, the finality of Dhruv's words hitting him like a blow. He responded, "What canceled it? Are you making fun? Do you have any idea how much it will cost both companies?"

In reality, Gabriel made the threatened in an attempt to get Anvika to apologize to his daughter. There would also be a significant loss to his firm even if they were to terminate the agreements between the two companies. That was not what he wanted to happen.

Gabriel was afraid now since he truly accomplished that for her daughter, but he had also just received insults and faced losing business.

Around the room, the murmurs of the guests grew, a mix of approval and curiosity at the unfolding drama. The business associates who had once been potential allies now looked at Gabriel with a mixture of pity and disappointment.

Arya nodded in agreement, his expression reflecting the solidarity of their decision. "We value our principles and the integrity of our partnerships," he added. "This is not just about business; it's about respect and trust, which have been irrevocably damaged."

Gabriel tried to persuade them that it was just a child's miscommunication and that there was no need to include it in the company partnership by lowering his voice.

Dhruv spoke in an irate voice, saying, "If the video isn't out yet, I can only imagine what you people are up to. Everything has to do with to my sweetie, as your daughter offended her."

Gabriel was powerless since he had no idea how to persuade them.

"We will follow your lead since you were the first to include the company in this environmental preservation", Dhruv added.

When Sophia raised her hand to strike Anvika, Dhruv became very enraged and immediately considered cutting Sophia's hand off.

Dhruv adores Anvika dearly; he could not bear the thought of her suffering, and he would hold them accountable for their actions. In his eyes, the company is insignificant in comparison to Anvika.

Sophia had a little sense of jealousy at how much everyone loved her and didn't seem to care about the loss of even having to support her.

"From this point forward, neither of our businesses are against you. We will no longer work together on any business matters, and I will be canceling any past agreements. If you and your daughter are not yet moving out, please do so" . stated Arya.

Gabriel saw that Arya and Dhruv were buddies and that no one could change their choice since they made it jointly.

Gabriel stood there, defeated, as Dhruv, Arya, and their supporters turned away from him. The evening, intended as a stepping stone for business success, had become a powerful lesson in the importance of character and honesty. The guests, having witnessed the dramatic unraveling, left with a renewed understanding of the true value of integrity in both personal and professional realms.

Dhruv glared at Gabriel and asked him to go out.

With a bowed head, Gabriel and his daughter left.

Advik had in mind himself, 'It's nothing major, but I'm going to teach you an advantageous price for criticizing my girl,' when he spotted Gabriel. He has a menacing smirk on his face.

Nivik furiously shouted, "What are you looking at? Get out of my house right away," glaring at Amelia.

Amelia attended the Nivik birthday celebration without an invitation; she went there with Sophia and her father. Amelia fled the location right soon after they did.

...

Once they were in the car, Gabriel looked at his daughter, who was crying softly beside him. Her tears flowed freely, mixing with the faint trickle of blood from her nose, a remnant of her earlier fall.

"Dad, I'm sorry. Everything that happened was due to me. I'm truly sorry for your shedding pounds," Sophia stated as she turned to confront her father.

Gabriel turned to face her weeping daughter. Seeing her daughter in such a situation broke his father's heart, and her face suffered as well.

Gabriel sighed deeply, his anger from earlier melting into a weary acceptance. He gently wiped the blood from her nose with a handkerchief and looked into her eyes."It's OK, my love; I'll take care of it later. However, I must advise you to make wise friendship choices.Friends should uplift you, not drag you into trouble."

Gabriel didn't want to even place the responsibility on his daughter since he believed that Amelia was the reason for everything.

Sophia nodded, her sobs quieting as she absorbed her father's words. Gabriel then turned to the driver and gave a quiet instruction, "Take us to the hospital. We need to get her nose checked."

The car moved through the night, the atmosphere inside heavy with lessons learned and the silent resolution to move forward. Gabriel's mind was a storm of thoughts—his daughter's future, the importance of integrity, and the painful but necessary consequences of their evening. As they drove on, he hoped this would be a turning point for Sophia, a moment of growth and reflection born out of the night's tumult.
