The most anticipated moment for Masinissa Linette Duah II has finally arrived. The Kitara kingdom has sent their heartfelt gratitude to the king for his tremendous help and never allowing them to face their enemy all by themselves. The battle between them and the Punt kingdom is almost over as they strived to capture most of their warriors, even some sent to Ptolemaic for questioning.
The king was delightful to hear the news of the Punt kingdom being defeated despite their large number in army. They were duly dealt with by the Kitara warriors, together with their king, as they were able to capture most of their embodied warriors. The war took an amazing turn as they did not believe how they even managed to defeat them. Everything was done wonderfully that even the king of the Punt kingdom was being held captive as well.
As the battlefield was getting more heated and bloodier, and while the rest of the Punt soldiers sneaked into the kingdom, they were met with soldiers who outnumbered them and easily took them in as prisoners. When that was done, some of the warriors begin to flee the battle ground while they were chased by the Kitara warriors. Upon their arrest as prisoners, they then lured the Punt king into the kingdom, perceived to him that they the Punt army have successfully gotten the kingdom under their control and that he could grace the kingdom with his presence. He fell for their lies and took on with some of his supposed soldiers to the Kitara kingdom. Upon his arrival, he was surrounded by the army of the Kitara kingdom and then held captive together with his people. he then surrendered himself to the Kitara king. but as generous as the Kitara people are, they did not make it a deal to take the Punt people as their slaves, but rather enlarged their kingdom and made them a part of their kingdom. The Mapungubwe kingdom was then given back to the people and their king finally went back home to continue his reign as king.
At this point, the king of the Mapungubwe kingdom has taken it upon himself not only to continue with their regular activities as farmers and fishermen but took it upon himself to train his people to become warriors so they can fend for their land whenever they come under any threats. By doing so, they would not have to depend on anyone to secure their land and ensure their peace.
Back in Ptolemaic kingdom, Emissary Boateng has finally met his end although nothing was said by the Punt soldiers about him being the one helping them throughout their attempted coupe. They have not yet been questioned by the king since he is yet to meetup with them. He fears that he will have to bear the wrath of the king and the kingdom as a whole, and he has officially failed the promise he made to his dead mother.
The king has just entered his chamber and was met with the cabinet already seated, as they are more impatient to know who that traitor might be, and for the traitor to bear the fruit of is labour. The king was greeted with outmost obedience by his cabinet, he then ordered for the prisoners to be brought fought before him for their questioning. Upon hearing this, Emissary Boateng's face became pale like a pregnant woman, and is beginning to be covered with sweat as fear has taken over him. The disturbing part of it all is that his family, his wife and children, will have to bear most of the shame yet they have absolutely no knowledge of what he has been doing. They will have to face the whole kingdom at the market centre, where their punishment will be pronounced and later be made to take their exit out of the kingdom and never to return. Boateng has brought back the past and this time upon his family.
The prisoners were brought into the palace in the presence of the king and his cabinet. Amanirenas and Akinidad also rushed to Carthage upon hearing their news of the war ended by the Kitara kingdom. She steps in looking so furious like a lion that has lost its senses. She began to attack the prisoners but was stopped by her brother the king, while Akinidad made his way back to his chamber in the palace. The king has begun his questioning while the prisoners were forced to speak sometimes when they refuse talking. The continue to answer the questions being posed to them by the king while they keep locking eyes with emissary Boateng. If it is suspected that they made eye contact, then the traitor will be revealed at that very instant.
A huge crown of people jubilating to this news gathered at the forefront of the palace, waiting to hear and to see who the traitor is and to see him face his punishment as stated by custom and tradition. The interrogation continues as they kept talking until, they were asked to say the name of the traitor who has been helping them. The king already has a clue of who the traitor might be since he was told by the Kitara king. he did not want anything to seem obvious by Emissary Boateng until the prisoners are done talking.
It was a heartbreaking moment when the prisoners finally spoke out the name of the traitor as he stands next to the king very stiff. The whole town and palace were in an immense shocked upon hearing that Emissary Boateng was the one behind all the attacking attempts on the kingdom. They could not believe Boateng could jeopardise with the peace of the kingdom like the way he did, and yet kept his steeze together so as not to make anything obvious.
The king turned to Boateng and asked of the reason why he chose to kill the peace of the kingdom for a selfish gain. He then replied with no sense of humour that all of that was done to please his dead mother, and he was ready to take everything away from them, since his grandfather took away everything of his mother, and left her to her own fate. This has become something new to the dwellers of the kingdom, since they knew nothing about the relationship that existed between Masinissah Linette the first, and the mother of Emissary Boateng. Emissary Boateng begins to narrate every single thing of what his mother had to go through just for him, the king, to assume the throne. Emissary Boateng continued to speak in front of the whole kingdom, explaining to them what has happened to him yet seems like his dedication and sacrifices were not recognized enough. He threated to do the same over and over again if he gets the opportunity to do so.
The king was the one who was really hit by the news because he really trusted emissary Boateng. He remined him of all the old times they had till they both served their terms in the army, and finally became a king and his emissary. Emissary Boateng's family were really shamed as they were also present when all was said about her husband.
Regardless of the relationship that might have existed between Emissary Boateng and the king, custom does not care of who committed the crime but must be punished accordingly. He was then asked to show the grave of his mother so she could be remembered, and he remains will be well buried in the land that has always been her.
As this was ending, the issue of princess Nala is getting more into the light and will be a big disgrace for it to be know by the whole kingdom and not be punished.
The princess is beginning to also fear for herself as everything is getting more and more obvious. The last thing the king would want to be disturbed with is the matter regarding his daughter. The princes have refused to open up to the queen, her mother, thus making it difficult for her to help. the punishment that awaits the person who got the princess in the family way will be grave than the punishment given to the traitor of the land.
Days passed by and the kingdom and its surrounding kingdom are back to their normal lives. Their markets are open for the exchange of goods and services, while the Mapungubwe Kingdom are taking their army serious. They have taken the right steps in grooming their able men to be fit in defending their lands and its surroundings. Amanirenas is back to her village to continue her reign, while her son, Akinidad, is also back to his studies and equipping himself for the next task ahead of his life as the future king of the Ptolemaic Kingdom. This moments are truly significant for the kingdom and more especially to his mother, but this is yet to take another turn as it involves current situation of the princess.
