Chapter 15 - Making A Hundred Silver Coins

The duo walked out of the living room, amidst the narrow corridor.

"Westley, you have no idea how scared I was back there. That man is so disgusting and malicious!" said the alluring voice of the mythical creature beside Westley.

"I know you must have been scared. That's why I said this isn't a place for someone as innocent as you the other time. Now do you believe me?" Westley reminded boastfully.

"Indeed it isn't a place for me…!" Noelle agreed mildly.

"Now Noelle. What we have to start thinking about is how to get the hundred silver coins, Lord Abraham wants as compensation for the favor. Or do you happen to have it? Please tell me you do, Noelle," Westley asked anticipatingly. Really hoping that Noelle would have that amount.

"Unfortunately, I don't," Noelle stated truthfully. "To be honest with you Westley, I'm as broke as you presently are."

Westley sighed haggardly. Upon hearing it.

"Well… it's alright Noelle. Don't worry. we would surely find a way to earn it one way or the other. And plus, I have some few fifty silver coins at home with me. It's what I've managed to gather so far, for the fishing business I was telling you about starting earlier."

"I can lend them to you. And when you start earning, you can pay me back. And of course with interest. Promise?" Westley assured.

Noelle smiled happily, "Yes. I promise. That's so kind of you, Westley. Thank you."

"Don't thank me yet. We still have to find fifty more silver coins to add to it. Until then, don't keep your hopes too high."

"Again for the third time. I've heard you. I won't keep my hopes too high. And I also have ten silver coins with me, we can add it to your fifty silver coins, making it a whole of sixty silver coins."

"Great! Now all we have to do, is look for the remaining forty silver coins," Westley added. "And be rest assured I have an idea of how to get it."

Opening the door. Then they both got out of the house. With Nathaniel the Guard still at the entrance as expected.

"You both are leaving so soon?" Nathaniel asked, as Noelle and Westley obviously didn't stay too long in the house as he had expected, "Does Lord Abraham not have any interest in her?"

"Not at all Nathaniel, he just couldn't pay her price, that's all," Westley replied. As he was still holding Noelle's hand and they walk past Nathaniel.

"Wait Westley! I want her, at least let's negotiate about the price!"

Not bothering to wait or turn towards Nathaniel. "Since Lord Abraham can't pay her price. I doubt that a mere Guard like you would be able to. So see you next time Nathaniel," Westley rebuked, and before Nathaniel could say anything else they were already out of sight, and out of the huge gate.

Noelle sighed. "Shameless people! Putting a price on women!" she muttered aggravatedly.

"Relax Noelle. They're always like that. Don't let them get to you. Just ignore it, alright?"

"Alright," Noelle agreed. Not like she cared about them anyway, talkless of letting them occupy her mind like this.

Walking on the streets.

"Westley. You said you had an idea that would help us in making the rest of the forty silver coins remaining. What is this idea you speak of?" Noelle asked, her emerald green eyes as curious and keen like that of an eagle.

"Yes Noelle, I did say that. And relax we aren't going to steal or anything pertaining to it. It's something different from that. But first, let's branch home, I need to pick some things from the house. Then I'll tell you about the idea on our way out."

"Alright… but Westley where would we be going afterwards?"

"We're going to the market place afterwards. Now you just wait and see," Westley stated with a glint of demonic expression in those brown eyeballs of his.

'Who knows what this crazy friend of mine is planning?' Noelle thought sensing Westley's sinister demeanor.

Soon they both walked home together. Upon arriving at the brick made house.

"Noelle you can just wait at the entrance for me. I'll be back quickly. I just need to grab a bag from my room, and then we would go to the market together as planned," Westley stated.

"Okay. I'll be right here when you get back. So take your time," Noelle replied as she watched Westley go into the house as he had said earlier.

She decided to sit down on the entrance platform. As her eyes stared away at the bushes in front of her. Noelle sighed. Watching the pedestrians walking by.

Noelle hugged her knee, 'I should probably write to Silvia and James whenever I get the chance. They must've been patiently waiting for me to write back to them as I've promised,' Noelle thought as she bite her fingernails immaturely.

'I'm sure my siren song must've probably stop enticing Silvia. She would've gotten over me, and be back to her normal self by now.'

'To be honest. I really miss her, she was the first person to ever speak to me genuinely after my first day out of the water, and of being a human being back.'

'I would definitely write to them,' she concluded inwardly.

Few minutes later…

Westley still wasn't back yet.

"He told me he wouldn't be long. So what the hell is he even still doing inside the house?" Noelle mumbled irksomely under her breaths. Simply because some unfortunate mosquitoes which were outside due to the dirty environment were already starting to disturb her smooth skin. Causing her to scratch them.

Just when Noelle was about to lose her patient, her trouble maker big brother eventually came out of the house after almost delaying her for like half an hour.

"Finally you're back. Why did you take so long?!" Noelle frowned.

"Sorry Noelle, I was just busy packing up some more items we might need. And now that it's done, let's proceed to the local market as agreed earlier."

"Okay." Getting up from where she was sitted, Noelle got up to follow Westley closely.

"The walk to the local market might take long. So let's take my bicycle instead, Noelle. Although it's only built for one person to ride, but I bet we can still manage it together to avoid leg aches."

"Carry the bag," Westley said, as he threw the bag over to Noelle, and Noelle struggled to catch it but eventually did.

"You're so impossible!" Noelle complained.

This gave Westley the chance to walk towards a corner, and from there he pulled out his old-fashioned bicycle. He sat on it firmly.

"Hop on Noelle, we have no time to waste."

Hearing this, Noelle the slowpoke promptly walked towards Westley and the bicycle.

Noelle knew that Westley was right, she was a very slow walker indeed, and this is due to not being used to moving with feets, she had been stuck with a long tail for so long that she had even almost forgotten how to walk.

She sat behind Westley's back, and as expected it was extremely uncomfortable, but at least it was better than walking such a long distance on feet, which would cause them leg cramps.

"Noelle are you well balanced on the seat? You're so clumsy, I don't want you to fall off and hurt yourself while I start paddling the bicycle."

"I'm not clumsy! You're the clumsy one! Now move this thing you call a bicycle and let's get to the market. Who knows what we're going to do there anyways?" Noelle stated. Clenching tightly onto the bag which Westley gave to her, and also which she didn't know what was inside of it.

"You're so lousy!" Westley replied.

"Well I learnt it from someone."

Later on…

The both of them reached the noisy and crowded local market of a small town in the capital of Sunria kingdom, Tyraneus. As always everyone in the market place was minding their businesses, so this particular place was exactly what Westley needed for his unknown idea.

Getting down from the bicycle carefully was the two trouble maker who would do anything to earn the rest of the forty silver coins remaining.

Although they were both at the market area. Still they weren't under the scrutiny of the public yet, basically because they were still hidden behind a small store, which was unknown to most of the passerby, merchants and horsemen.

"Westley, you promised to tell me what that idea of yours was, back at Lord Abraham's mansion. At least I should be aware of what you've planned, if I'm going to be participating in it too, shouldn't I?"

"Fine I'm going to tell you…" Westley admitted, grasping the bag away from Noelle's possession. Westley opened it up swiftly, and brought out some clothes, or more like a disguise costume. "But first Noelle. You have to change into this quickly. Before someone sees us here," he instructed, pointing some particular clothes towards Noelle.

Noelle's eyes widened, upon glancing down at the clothes Westley wanted her to change into, "Rags?!" she muttered with displeasure.

"I don't understand what's going on Westley. You want me to change into rags?!" Noelle mused, as she didn't quite understand what was going on in Westley's head.

"I know that it may sound crazy to you, but please Noelle just trust me on this and wear them already. We don't have much time, or else we wouldn't be able to get the remaining forty silver coins needed. And if it isn't possible today, then we might have to come back tomorrow also."

"Tell me first Westley. Why do you want me to wear them? If you don't then I won't wear them," Noelle asked still not budging.
