Hermia's smile turned to a frown as he looked at Xander with disgust.
"You haven't died yet?" Hermia's said and the receptionist gasped "Any problem?" Hermia asked the young lady.
"Don't speak like... " the young lady words were cut short by Hermia as she ordered her to shut up before turning to Xander.
"And you what do you think you are doing here, did you come all the way from your rat hole to beg, sorry to tell you this is a business area not the highway" Hermia said at the same time hitting his chest to push him backward.
"I apologize on her behalf, get back to work" Xander said said to the receptionist with a calm smile that the young lady returned and went back to work, trying her best to ignore the scene before her. She wasn't the only one watching, there were other workers going through their daily works, some stopped to watch what was going on and what their new Chairman was going to do.
"Don't apologize for me and make yourself look like a good helpless victim, my family helped you for years but you are still useless, why won't I divorce such a useless person" Hermia said as she got angrier at every passing moment.
Not wanting to cause a bigger scene than what was going on, he stepped around Hermia to make his way to his office.
"I'm still talking to you!" she exclaimed and pulled on his wrist at the same time her nails broken into his his skin.
He turned around to her and was met with a slap, "A low commoner like you doesn't disrespect" she spat and it was followed by a gasp from the workers who pretended to be working while they were watching the scene. They didn't bother to hid that they were watching anymore.
Xander nodded to the receptionist who immediately picked up her business phone to make a call.
"You can't even fight for yourself talk more of your daughter" Xander squeezed his hand in anger as he held himself back from punching her.
Suddenly three security guard ran towards them, two of them firmly held her arm. No matter how much she struggled she could break free.
"Let go of me, you flirty creatures, I'm a reputable person in the society!" she struggled
"Please ma, you have to stop this ruckus and leave" the third security guard said to her before turning to Xander. "I'm sorry for this sir, we would throw this crazy woman out just with one word from you"
Hermia was shocked, how could he throw her out what does he have! Does he think because he dressed in a suit he think his class has been upgraded.
"I just want to say something to them you can throw her out" Xander said and the security man stepped aside to give him access to the woman who shouted at the men holding her, she was lucky she wasn't pinned on the floor.
He stepped closer to her till his face was in line with hers, she stopped shouting and looked at him in disgust. She saw changes on his face and noticed that he got an hair cut.
"Cherish the time you have with my like girl, I would come for her soon" he said calmly. Hermia was about say something but was stopped by Xander when he placed his index finger across her lips.
"Shh, I'm not done" he said and lean closer to her ear.
"Watch your back cause I'm coming for you" he said and stood up straight. Hermia trembles as that sentence sent chills to her spine. Did she underestimate the man in front of her.
Xander nodded to the security and they dragged her away.
"Continue with your work" he said to the receptionist with a calm smile and walked into the private elevator. She chivered and nodded. Is he like his father or worst than him?
Xander walked out of the elevator when he reached his destination. The hallway to his office was filled with people, seating on either side of the hallway. That's when he remembered that Max mentioned something about interview with applicant for my personal assistance position.
"Good morning Max" he greeted the older man who sat behind an office table at a corner of his office.
"Morning, took you long enough" Max said, typing something into the laptop in front of him.
"I encountered an issue on reaching here, don't worry everything is settled" Xander said and sat behind is desk which was a bit farther from Max's but he could still hear and see what goes on his side.
"Okay, I would start calling the applicants in, free to question them" Max said and Xander nodded in understanding.
Max called in the applicants one after the order, briefly went through their resume and asked some professional questions before he turned to the new chairman in case he wanted to add anything.
Xander didn't say a word he just observed as the applicants came in and were asked to go back to their seat, for those who didn't reach up to Max standards, they were nice asked to leave. He noticed most applicants were women and they sent their best smile his way before they left.
The last applicant interview ended by 12 noon. The were given thirty minutes break to have lunch while they decide.
A knock came from the door while Max and Xander were discussing.
"Come in" Xander said and a blonde handsome man about 6'5 stepped in.
"Sorry, I'm late, I'm here for the interview" the blonde man said
"Interview is over" Max said sharply
"I would like to give him a chance" Xander told Max. The blonde man stood as professional as he could be but no matter how humble he tried to be their was a confident aura he emitted. It made Max wonder why someone like him was applying to be an assistant.
Xander turned to the blonde man and signaled him to come closer. The man adhered to him and neatly placed his Resume in front of the Chairman.
Xander screen through it and discovered that the man in front of him was twenty eight but everything else written in the papers didn't matter to him.
"All this things written here is not important, Mr. Hunter Schems, I'm going to ask you one question and your employment depend on your answer"
