It took a while for Liam to arrange his thoughts and, really, he was in another world. Not just any world, but the world of the last novel he read before he left Earth.
"So I'm in the world of Blade Master's Legacy. How unfortunate..." He smiled a bitter smile.
He wasn't sure of it before, but he was sure of it now. After he woke up, strange memories of this kid emerged.
It turns out that the body he resided in belonged to a prince of the human kingdom, Julius Augustine. A prince fated to die at the age of seven in this world.
He remembers clearly how he ended up in the river. He was being escorted by guards from school when they were ambushed. He fell into the waters and hit his head... and the next thing he knew, he was in this crappy-looking shed.
"Why... Out of all the characters, why put me in the royal family? I like being alive, but I'll die if I go back," Julius mumbled with frustration as he knew that his siblings would soon begin to kill each other in a fierce competition to claim the throne.
While Liam was busy contemplating what he should do, a golden, transparent screen appeared in front of him, shocking him.
'The world will!' Liam exclaimed inwardly.
The world will was just the world's way of communicating with its people. Apparently, everyone in this world can access the world will.
[You have accepted this new life of yours. The {Lord} looks upon you. You have been given attributes and skills to help you on your journey.]
[Attribute: The Omniscient (Divine), Blessed by God (Legendary), The Great Change (???).]
[Skills: Omniscient's Perspective {???} (Lv Max)]
Julius was dumbfounded by the new messages appearing in front of him and he smiled as he checked them out.
"Getting a max-level skill as well as three attributes... This is..." Liam was in a state of shock.
An attribute can only be gained from one's hard work and achievements in this world. Skills are either taught or learned. To get these things just for coming to this world...
"I wonder what this god's motive is. Regardless, these are supposed to help me on my journey," he thought, and he tapped on the attributes, and an explanation of the skill appeared.
[Attribute: The Omniscient]
[Rank: Divine]
[As a reader of the original novel, you will be calm and collected in every tense situation. Mental abilities of users which are on your level and below won't work on you, and you've gained resistance to mental abilities overall.]
"A divine-ranked attribute right at the start—now this is something." Julius smiled as he looked at it, wondering about the different ways this attribute could help him.
[Attribute: Blessed by God]
[Rank: Legendary]
[You are blessed with exceptional talent in everything you do. In return for his blessing, God has put a {fate}, {The Great Change}, on you.]
"Oh, shit." Julius raised a brow as he read the description of his second attribute, furrowing his brows.
'Damn it, I hope the fate isn't that bad,' Julius thought and checked the next attribute.
"I can work with this," he said, looking at the description of the last attribute.
[Attribute: The Great Change]
[Rank: ???]
[You have been fated to get involved with the story of this world whether you like it or not. Every change you make, depending on how it affects the story, will earn you an amount of fate points. When you get enough, you will be given access to the Abyssal Treasury.]
"I don't plan to get involved with the novel anytime soon. I would want to keep the future in the direction I know so that I can at least know the future..." Julius put a finger on his chin and then nodded his head.
His eyes shine as the last words caught his eye.
"The Abyssal Treasury!!" Julius was shocked as he read that, feeling excitement burning within him.
The gods of this world retired from always fighting each other to just watch over this world. The treasures gained on their journey are all kept in the Treasury.
Just one item from the Treasury can change this story's outcome for the better... or for worse. If he really was going to survive, he needs to get into that Treasury.
"Finally. The only skill I got—I wonder why its rank is in question marks," he thought as he tapped on the skill.
[Skill: The Omniscient Perspective]
[Rank: ???]
[Level - Max]
[Abilities -
Stage 1 - You can read the information of anything at will.
Stage 2 - ???
Stage 3 - ???
Stage 4 - ???
The rest of the skills will be unlocked when you awaken magic]
"..."
Julius just stared at the screen in shock, smiling as a chuckle left his mouth.
"Now this changes things." He stood up from the bed, stretched with a smile, and left the hut to see the old-looking man sitting beside the river.
The clouds were strangely dark, and the light behind was what illuminated the planet.
"You're awake, boy." The old man's voice came from ahead, and he walked towards the man.
"Thank you for saving me, sir," he said with a bow, and the old man looked at the young boy.
"It's fine, I didn't do much. I'm wondering who you are for 'god' to save you," the man said, and Julius raised a brow.
"How did you know that?" he asked, being on his guard.
"Relax, I'm a sage." The old man smiled at the boy's actions, stopped looking at the waters, and looked at him.
Julius seemed shocked as he was sitting in front of a sage.
A sage!!! Only a few of them exist in this world, and they all have direct connections to gods and the Supreme One. They isolate themselves from the affairs of their races and live in peace.
"So how did a kid your age get attacked?" the man asked as he fiddled with his beard, and Julius remembered being attacked by a group of knights.
"My brother wanted to eliminate me." Julius was okay talking about things, knowing this man wouldn't be against him. The sages can't go against God.
Hearing the young kid's words, the old man looked at him in confusion but then raised a brow.
"What's your full name, kid?" he asked, standing up.
"Julius Augustine."
