Chapter 7 - 7. The western citadel

"That's why I didn't tell Mum. I have to do this on my own," Julius said to his father, who stood there.

The man with unrivaled strength himself. The conqueror of valleys. There were so many words used to describe him, and he was one of Julius' favorite characters because he was badass.

"If you're going to go, then you are going to need a few things. I'll arrange for some things. I'll see you when you're about to go," his father said before leaving the room.

Aman sighed as he looked at the door again, and he shook his head.

"Seems like he might be a worthy successor if the world will called to him," he mumbled before walking away.

Julius had finished making all the plans, and he just got dressed. It was already night, and he didn't want to waste any time around, as there was so much to do.

He went to Sasha's room, and before he entered, he looked sideways. He could see the outline of a person behind the walls of the room next to Sasha's.

"I only want to bid my sister goodbye before I leave," he said before he opened the door.

The room beside Sasha's belonged to her personal guard, who was ready to defend the princess anytime.

Julius walked to Sasha's bed and sat next to her before stroking her green hair sideways. He kissed her forehead and shook his head.

"It's crazy how we bonded so well. I'll be gone for a long time. Miss me," he said before planting a kiss on her forehead and walking out of the room.

He already had his things packed, and he walked towards the royal stable where the horses were.

The night was a bit darker than the day. The strange dark clouds still covered the sky like a blanket, denying the world of the beautiful sky.

Julius wore a simple blue attire with a bag on his back containing his things. A bow was on his shoulder, and a short sword was on his waist.

"Your Highness," the old man at the stable bowed, and he nodded to him.

The man brought out two weird-looking horses. These ones had red and white colors, and they had horns on their heads.

Alexa sat on a horse and helped him up before placing him in front of her, while Ray climbed up on the red horse.

"Let's go," Julius said, and they rode out of the castle.

As the castle gates opened, they suddenly saw someone in front of them, and they stopped.

The king walked towards them from the front and handed Julius a ring and nodded to him.

"Good luck," the king said to him, and he nodded before putting the ring on.

To his surprise, it was a magical space item.

'I haven't even seen one of these as Julius and even in my one year of stay. These things are so rare!' Julius couldn't help but think, and then he closed his eyes and focused on the object in his hand.

He saw a large space. It was as big as a cube with 100 meters on all sides.

"Wow. I can't believe the king would give out a magical space," Alexa said, and Julius nodded to her.

"Why not? I'm his son," Julius said, and he kept his weapon and bag inside. He took the four bags that Ray carried and took them into the ring.

It was like a whirlpool sucked the items into the rings, and it was fascinating to watch. Magic was something amazing in this world, and Julius was normally fascinated with the things out of the norm of his normal world.

He looked forward only to see that his dad was gone, and then they rode forward on the clear path.

...

The king entered his room through the door, and he looked at Margaret, who was on the bed, asleep. He looked out of the window, and in that moment, another woman stepped in.

She had short red hair, and while she didn't have big breasts, the shape of her hips could be seen in the gown she wore.

She walked to his side and hugged his arm to her chest.

"So Margaret is now taking you all for herself? Not fair at all," she said and pouted cutely.

The king looked into her blue eyes, and she smiled at him.

"Do you mind if I stay with you tonight?" she asked, and the king smiled.

"I'm not against that. Come," Aman took her to his bed, and they engaged in a passionate kiss.

...

The trio rode throughout the night and managed to reach half of the journey to their destination.

They were still riding when they began to hear strange noises in the surroundings. Both sides of the clear path had a bush leading to the forest packed with trees.

'Well, I have my personal guard with me,' Julius thought, and a growl sounded from their side. Ray moved immediately.

Julius couldn't see his movements at all, and in that moment, a creature's head fell to the floor. Julius looked at the ugly thing.

It looked like a goblin, but its skin was black and had veins growing on its face. It looked extremely ugly, and Julius recognized the situation.

"A crawler?"

Alexa nodded as she heard this and smiled.

"Yes, Your Highness. Seems like you've been studying well. They are all over the world. It's not easy to get rid of all of them. Just a bite from one, and you'll become one of them," Alexa explained. Julius nodded and sighed, and they continued their journey.

Soon, they exited the kingdom's large gates.

Julius waved at the people who carried him when he first came back, and they waved back.

"I wonder where the prince is going. I heard that he wasn't able to control mana," one of the guards said, looking sad for the prince.

"Well, even if the king was disappointed, the third queen loves her children. I doubt anything will change," another one said as they watched the prince disappear in the distance.

If they knew where he was going, they wouldn't be able to sleep today.
