On Earth, Julius had a weak body as Liam, unable to enjoy the happiness that life could give him. But this time, so much more was possible...
Julius, who was still by the window, smiled. He got excited, thinking about everything he was planning.
"Why am I getting so excited," Julius said with a smile on his little face.
If there was anything amazing about this world, it would be... magic. There was magic, artifacts, martial arts, alchemy, and more. Just getting to do cool moves with a sword made him excited.
All of a sudden, the door to the room opened and a mature, blond woman came in, wearing the gold and white outfit of the maids in the royal castle.
"You really are alive, young master," the maid came towards him and knelt down before holding his hands, and a teardrop slid down her face.
"It's nothing to worry about, Alexa. How has the house been?" Julius asked her, and she looked up at him with her big brown eyes with a smile.
Alexa was his personal maid assigned to him at birth. Losing the one she was destined to serve, she must have lost her purpose in life.
"Y–young master?" Alexa was stunned by his sudden question, and then she spoke up.
"To be honest, everyone only acted up for a few days and then everything went back to normal. We haven't heard from your mother yet, too," Alexa said, and Julius held her hand and guided her to stand up.
"You seem tired, Alexa. Why don't you rest for a while?" he said, and she nodded to him.
"I'm glad you're back, young master," Alexa revealed a very beautiful smile before she left the room.
Julius stared out of the window as he made his plans for the coming years. Then his door was knocked on again, and he sighed tiredly.
"Come in."
The door opened, and a man wearing a red attire knelt before him.
"Young master, I'm sorry for failing you," the young man said, and Julius observed him.
This young man had short grey hair and clear dark eyes. He wore a long-sleeved fitted red shirt and a thick inner vest, and finally, a long red coat flowing below his knees. The coat had silver shoulder pauldrons with protruding spikes, looking cool.
Julius also noted the gauntlets on the man's hand and the sword on his waist, and he smiled.
"So this is a knight and a former gladiator; he looks damn cool," Julius couldn't help but think.
"It wasn't your fault, Ray. I was the one who let you go to see your family," Julius smiled at the knight, and then he sighed.
Ray was his guardian knight assigned to him at birth. As a person who has conquered dungeons and hunted fierce monsters, being stuck with a young prince wasn't very appealing at first. But then he willingly chose this, as he could avoid being on the dangerous battlefield while his family could live peacefully.
"Thank you for your kind words, your highness," Ray said while still bowing his head.
"Thank you for your service to the royal family, Ray. I need to sort out my thoughts for now."
Ray was taken aback by the young prince saying thanks, but he immediately bowed and left the room.
'I am currently seven years old. The normal magic awakening happens when a child is five until they are eight. Children don't awaken after eight years of age.
By the way things are going, I might be a talentless child of the royal family. I have to find a way to awaken faster. I can't wait until I'm eight and I lose the tendency to awaken,' Julius thought, and then he began to make his plans.
The awakening ceremony was just one that would show the path and potential of the individual, whether they are destined to be a mage or a weapon master.
...
It had been five hours since morning, and Alexa knocked on her master's room door.
"What is it?" Julius asked from within.
"Your highness, the king demands your presence at the family dinner," Alexa said from outside with a nervous tone.
Julius, who was lying on his bed, had a shocked expression. By his knowledge, his father and mother went out on an expedition to conquer an infamous regiment where a large number of gates opened.
Also, his father considered him a failure compared to his siblings, as he hasn't awakened after two years, and one more year remained.
He sighed and got dressed in the traditional wear of the royal palace: a white long-sleeved shirt and short trousers to go with it. He then wore long socks and what seemed to be wooden slippers, similar to the ones he used to see ninjas wear.
'I have no reason to dress up just for a family meal. Besides, let's see what my siblings are like.' He smiled as he left his room.
The palace was indeed a large place, but due to his memories, he managed to navigate his way safely and got to the dining room.
Although it was just a dining room, it was more like a large hall with a big rectangular table in the middle. A large golden chandelier hung from the roof with dazzling crystals to illuminate the place.
Julius made his way to the side of the table furthest away from the man with a singular chair on one side. He sat and began to eat while observing his father.
This man was one of the strongest people in the entire human kingdom, with a power that could rival that of the leader of the five great clans.
He was a terrifying existence, and he was heartless enough to let his children kill each other to decide who would ascend the throne.
Julius quietly looked at his food and used Omniscient perspective on it to see if there was any poisonous substance inside.
[Gulag stew - made with meat of the gulag, which has the power to rival master-rank mages and knights.
It is highly packed with mana nutrients, which can make the body healthier and even more refined.
Status - currently healthy and good to consume.]
Julius was quite satisfied with the results of using his skill, and he then looked at his siblings.
The eldest sister, Anna, sat beside him. She was 18 and already going to Midgard Academy to learn, and she also had a divine element of lightning, which made her a promising candidate.
Also... this was the person that wanted to kill him.
