I stormed into my apartment and slammed the door behind me. I couldn't believe the nerve of Nessa, taunting me about my past and my children. I felt as if I was going to explode. I needed someone to talk to, someone who would ease the tension inside of me. After taking a quick shower, I pulled out my phone and dialed Lisa's number. Lisa was much easier to communicate with, Lana not so much, and Bobby hardly knew her at all.
"Hey, Mom. What's wrong?" Lisa's answered with a yawn in her voice.
I took a deep breath. "Did I wake you?"
"... Certainly woke me up." I heard Lana's faint voice grumble in the background.
"Uh, not really." Lisa replied.
"Well, I just wanted to say hi, to all of you. Maybe we could...do an activity together." I spoke lamely. What were fifteen year old girls into today, besides Instagram and BTS?
"An activity? What? Sounds like you want us to go pick daisies in baskets." Lisa spoke in a teasing tone.
