(THIRD PERSON'S POV)
The moon shadow pack and the moon shade pack originally began as twin packs birthed from Twin Alpha wolves and then continued on as cousins. The packs lived in harmony for many years until things changed.
It was the time of Alpha Ralph of Moon shadow pack and Alpha Varis of Moon Shade pack. Alpha Varis had grown greedy and darkness had spread throughout his heart. He indulged in dark magic and began killing wolves of Moon Shadow pack with the help of dark creatures called 'Kralins' and with his plan to conquer and lead both packs with dark magic.
With the dangers encroaching the moon shadow pack, Alpha Ralph visits a sorceress with the intention to seek help for his people.
"The darkness grow stronger," The sorceress said her voice soft and soothing, her eyes starring out to nothing. "They speak of a coming darkness, a force that threatens to consume the very essence of your pack with dark magic led by your own cousin ."
"What can we do?" The Alpha said his voice a low growl.
"You need a plan, Alpha. Not just any plan, a good one that transcends to the next generation ." She said.
"What does that mean?" He asked.
" I'm afraid the danger is far greater. It won't be you who faces it head-on." She informed him.
The Alpha cursed.
"And even then, you must hurry Alpha. You have very little time," she said .
"I don't know what to do." The Alpha confessed.
"The earth and the moon reward your good heart, Alpha Ralph. You have a blessed one amongst you, she shall be the hope of your people." She said to him.
"She?" The Alpha asked in surprise. "But the next Alpha is my son, Aztec."
"Exactly and a strong Alpha needs a stronger Luna." The sorceress words rang loud in the Alpha's head as he came to understand.
"Who is the chosen Luna then?" The Alpha asked the sorceress.
"Your closest wolf, your right hand man, your Beta, he has a daughter. She shall be the one who bears the hope your people will have." She said.
The Alpha and the sorceress spoke to each other for some time and then he left in a hurry to meet with his Beta Kelt and his Gamma Rowan.
The crisp mountain air bit through Alpha Ralph's fur as he surveyed the valley cloaked in an inky darkness. Below, the faint bioluminescence of scattered moonblooms offered scant illumination, casting an eerie glow on the figures of his most trusted advisors: Beta Kelt and Gamma Rowan.
He relaid the plan and the advice that the sorceress gave.
Beta Kelt was in shock.
"My Alpha." He began with a slight bow. "My daughter, Rhea. She is only five years old you see. And she is just a human too like her late mother."
Alpha Ralph was shocked by that, how could a future Luna be a woman? A mere human. But it was the way it was the way the sorceress had said.
"A human?" The Alpha repeated in a surprised tone. Then he sighed, realizing that things were out of his hands at the moment.
"Aztec my young wolf is only 8. In fifteen years they shall be old enough. And this is not all my decision. It's the sorceress and I trust her." Alpha Ralph said and his Beta responded with a nod.
Gamma Rowan's brows furrowed. "Fifteen years is a long time, Alpha. How can we ensure the survival of the pack until then?" He said "And what happens during that time? I don't understand this sorceress. Why can't we fight?"
The Alpha sighed sadly. "Because we have no time." He said meeting their gaze.
And just as if to confirm what he had just said, the Alpha sensed dark energy approaching just as did the others.
"Quickly. Take this to the sorceress. Protect it with your life." He said to his Gamma giving him a box. Rowan took it and after a hard look at his Alpha, he disappeared in to the woods instantly.
The Alpha and Beta exchange a look.
"Our location has been compromised. No one knows I am out except my family." The Alpha said.
"Same here." His Beta answered.
They took their positions and stances.
"Hello Cousin." Alpha Varis said leading the opposing group as they approached . "Enjoying our new lives?"
"Wolves are dying Varis. Your Kralins are spreading darkness." Alpha Ralph angrily said.
Alpha Varis laughed. "Isn't that what I want? To become sovereign leader of the two packs." He said.
"Never has that happened. Twin packs have two Alphas. Not one. This pack is not your right." Alpha Ralph said angrily.
"Then I shall take it." Varis said with dark eyes.
"How could you destroy the legacy of the brothers! Of our fathers!" Alpha Ralph said angrily.
"I'm not here for silly talk. I'm here to peacefully take you as my prisoner after you give me your scepter and your amulet." He said as he took some daring steps forward.
Alpha Ralph growled back at his wicked cousin.
"Never. " Alpha Ralph said. "I can never give you what is ours."
"Well then I shall take it by force." Alpha Varis said his eyes revealing the darkness in his heart as a wicked and sly smile settled on his lips.
"Very well." Alpha Ralph said and he nods at his Beta Kelt and they both draws out their claws as they begin to take their positions ready to go in to battle.
"I wish that things didn't have to go this far." Alpha Varis said as he waved his hands and the Kralins began to come forward.
"I wish the same. But I am ready to defend my pack." Alpha Ralph said and with his Beta Kelt, they took their stance.
"For the Moon shadow pack!" They call out as a fight breaks out.
