(RHEA'S POV)
I stirred in my sleep and my eyes fluttered open to find Hori standing and glowering over my sleeping figure.
I gasped, startled as I quickly sat up in fear and moved back. She looked very angry.
I started to wonder what I had done to upset her so early, we had seen last night while I waited for their return in the main house.
I had said Goodnight before I retreated to my own section and nothing had seemed to be wrong.
"Wha-" I started to say but she lunged at me and made it for my neck giving me a tight squeeze as she landed on me. I could feel her sharp claws against my skin and I could also feel the hairs coming out of her skin.
I could not talk, it felt like all the air was leaving my body as I struggled and tried to get her hands off my neck.
"Now you listen to me you disgusting human!" She said looking at me directly in the eyes as I struggled to breathe.
"I won't ask you twice, so you better provide me with an answer, and you better provide it now!" She was saying but just then, the sound of the door opening with a slam made us both turn to the door.
Hera charged at us and she threw Hori off my body at once.
"What the hell Hera!" Hori yelled as her body hit the ground.
I was choking and gasping for air as I instantly tried to crawl away from the bed. It was an unsuccessful attempt because Hera gripped me by hair and pulled me off the bed to the ground. I yelped in pain and she pulled me up to feet and pushed me to the wall holding me in place.
"Please. I'm sorry. Please I did nothing wrong ." I begged her as tears began to roll down my cheeks uncontrollably.
This was a horrible way to wake up but it was not strange because my step sisters did it to me on numerous occasions. It did not matter to them that I was not aware of what was going on, all they wanted to do was inflict pain on me .
With how angry they were acting, I was very surprised that I had not been woken up with a slap.
"Please I have done nothing wrong." I begged
"Let me be the judge of that." Hera said to me with a hiss. "Now tell me Rhea, before I skin you alive this instant. What is the Alpha doing in our house so early this morning and why is he asking to see you?"
There was a very wicked glint in her eyes as she said the words which startled me.
The Alpha? He was here already? And So early?
"Don't you dare waste a second of my time!" She yelled at me.
"I was just going to make her tell me!" Hori said to her sister angrily as she got to where we were.
"You were slow!" Hera replied
"I know what you're trying to do. You're trying to find out why Alpha Aztec is here so that you could be the one who has the upper hand right? So you can tell mama and impress her?" Hori said now directing her anger to Hera.
"I'm older, Hori. If anyone should have a chance with the Alpha, it's going to be me." She said but her sister burst in to laughter.
"Would you hear yourself? We are twin wolves! It does not matter who came out first." She said in a mocking tone.
Hera released me then and she turned to her sister with fury in her eyes.
"Well, why don't I show you why I am the older twin." She said drawing out her claws.
"For the love of the brothers!" An irritated voice interrupted the argument and made us all turn our heads towards the doorway.
It was Lillith, and I straightened myself immediately I noticed her presence.
"Good morning Lillith." I greeted my step mother with my head Bowed.
"I send you up here to do just one thing and you both show how foolish you are. You made me come all the way to this disgusting place ." She said in an icy tone ignoring my greetings as she came further in to the room.
My room was in the abandoned building, some distance away from the main mansion. The stairs were weak and creaky, the wallpapers old and worn out, the windows were broken.
Lillith gave the room a quick glance of irritation before she turned her angry eyes back to her daughters.
"I was going to get it out of her, mama but Hera came and she ruined it for me!" Hori was quick to say as she pointed fingers.
"You were doing nothing!" Hera argued
"Shut your traps!" Their mother said as she looked from twin to twin with anger and irritation on her face.
"The Alpha is just in the main house and you forget to even act courteous! I am disappointed and irritated by your actions." She said with her angry voice filling the small room .
The twin wolves bowed their head in shame and then Lillith turned to me and her venomous gaze sent a chill up my spine and made my throat and tongue go dry in fear.
"You." She said her voice calm, cold and scary.
"I don't know why he is here, Lillith I promise." I started to beg.
Even as I lied, I was scared but I was even more scared of what would happen when she found out that the Alpha was proposing a plan to get married to me.
"You do." Lilith said to me
Then surprisingly, a smile climbed on to her face. But it looked like a wicked smile and seeing the smile on her face made me wish that I had told her the truth. She looked like she knew I was lying.
"But never mind about that. I had hoped that these she wolves would be able to get it out of you but they failed." Lillith said giving her daughters an angry glance before she returned her gaze back tone.
"So, me and you will have this talk later. For now, you have a visitor waiting for you." She said to me and her evil look pierced right through me.
