2 weeks later.
Chase had finally awoken after his long sleep. He yawned and stretched as he got off the bed.
"Finally awake master?" Tridius asked as he also stretched. Chase nodded and looked at his digital clock. 10:26am it read and Monday the 28th was shown at the right side of the time. He looked around the room but nothing out of the ordinary was spotted. The door appeared to still be locked and nobody had entered his room since he didn't feel any type of lingering energy. Well, enough of that. He took a bunch of clothes out of his wardrobe, unlocked his door and went into the bathroom.
He passed in front of the mirror but did a double take. He took off his shirt and admired his gains: His hair had stayed the same since the fight against that monster, his eyes were still dark and emotionless but, he had gotten fitter. He had built muscle all over his body and it brought him great joy. He stopped admiring himself, stripped his clothes away, put them in a clothes basket and jumped in the shower.
15 minutes later he came out refreshed. He wore a black shirt and a black tracksuit bottom and kept his towel over his head. He was quite surprised that his hair had stayed up instead of going down but he didn't really care. He came back inside his room and dropped off his towel before heading downstairs with Tridius following him closely behind.
"He's here." A voice said as Chase was walking down the stairs. The person on the other side of the phone hung up and Chase sensed another presence in the house. Upon arriving in the living room, he saw two familiar faces: His mother and his aunt. The two ladies were sitting in the dining room, one with coffee in front of her and the other with a letter in her hands.
"Finally awake huh?" Maria asked as she sipped her coffee.
"Yeah." Chase replied as he took a seat at one of the ends of the table with Tridius sitting on the table in front of him. He knew what the letter his mother was holding was about yet, he knew that it wasn't going to be anything bad.
"You know what this letter's about right?" Maria asked as she put her cup down. Chase nodded. "Your mother already saw the results and don't worry, it's not rigged. I erased your name out of the tests you did so that the teachers wouldn't ask too many questions and I gave your tests to the exam boards for them to mark since it's where they usually go." She talked and sipped her coffee again. She was quite happy that he was back again but didn't show it. May on the other hand, still didn't show any emotions concerning her only son and just handed him the letter.
"You did better than I had expected." Maria said as she put her cup back down again. Chase didn't really care about his grades and all that so he just took out the sheet of paper inside the already opened envelop but upon reading what was written, he wasn't surprised and didn't show any signs of happiness.
"You did well Chase but, why aren't you happy?" Maria asked. Chase shrugged and read the letter again.

Chase put the paper back inside the envelope and placed it on the table.
"You did well but what about English?"
"I don't like the subject so I didn't bother studying for it, " Chase said, "Same thing with science but it was easier and SHS was annoying too but I still did well."
"Well, " Maria started, "Nevertheless, you managed to get into year 12. Don't worry, we have some spaces left so an additional student is good. Are you coming into school tomorrow?"
"Next week, trying to start the week fresh."
"Tomorrow."
"Next week." Chase protested.
"Do you really want to start on Monday, the worst day of the week?" She asked, trying to make him change his mind.
"Next week." He replied.
"Tomorrow." Intervened May. Chase said nothing as he didn't want to interact with her more than necessary and got up from his seat whilst sliding the letter to his mother.
"I'll be there tomorrow." He grudgingly said as he headed towards the stairs.
"One last question Chase, " Maria said, stopping Chase in his tracks.
"Hmm?"
"Where were you during all these years and what is this animal?" She asked.
"About the first one, don't worry and this animal is my familiar." He simply replied.
"Familiar?" The two women said in astonishment, one as surprised as the other as they watched Tridius walk past them towards his master.
"I'll be in my room." Chase said as he disappeared from their view and headed up the stairs. 5 minutes later, Maria came through the door of his room and closed the door behind her.
"I get it that you want answers huh?" He said as he sat up from his bed. Maria nodded and sat on the chair from his desk and faced him, patiently waiting for his answers. "What do you want to know?"
"Everything. From when you went to the supermarket till today and don't worry, I won't tell your mother."
Chase knew that his aunt was going to keep her word and told her everything since she would have to know one of these days: From when he was mercilessly beat till the moment he appeared in front of them again. Maria listened but didn't say anything and just processed all the info she was given. When he finished, Maria looked relieved and gave him a heartful smile.
