After Tory declared that, they all started laughing. Tory's family was a a giant in business. Her father was the patriarch in sense. He didn't like that Tory spent her time playing games, but after she showed that she could still make money playing games and that Allan was making even more money that she was, he stop bothering them about it. He wasn't happy though.
But after hearing what Tory said, her father was furious. He loved his daughter very much and wouldn't let anyone bully her at all. He was already making moves to screw with the Dragon Electronics company.
"By the way, Tory made me remember that we should warn our families to start cultivating ASAP. I'm just not so sure if we should share the Monster Refining method with them."
"I think we can teach our parents and siblings, but the rest of the family should find treasures inside of the game like any other player." Sheila suggested.
"Let's warn them on the weekend. We have to deal with Dragon Company tomorrow." Allan said. "I mean, we can start asking them to play the game already and leave a hint that the game is more that what it seems. I just don't want our messages to be intercepted by the government or anyone else."
Soon everyone called their parents one by one. Allan was quite reluctant, but he still had to do it.
"Look it isn't the ungrateful son. What do you need, did you ran out of money already?" Allan's dad said on the phone.
"It's not quite like that. I'm quite very successful, I even bought a villa that costs 5 million on the Shiny Mountain top. What do you think?"
"So you're calling only to show off?"
"Not really. I don't really wanna talk to you much, but I need you start playing Parallel Online. It's for your own safety."
"What does that mean really?"
"I pretty sure your line is secured so I think I can spoil the beans. The game is a copy of reality. But the magic inside of the game works outside of the game as well. I'm planning on visit you during this weekend to teach you how to use magic. Of course you must know to keep this a secret."
"Are you hallucinating?"
"Think clearly, I didn't even told that I bought a villa but I'm telling you that magic is real. Can't you see that?"
"And why are you warning me?"
"Even thought we are not on good terms, you're still my father, mother is sill mother and my brother are still my brothers. Even though we don't talk often I still love you."
"You should display that love more often. Your mother is often sad. She feels that you forgot about her."
"You know why I don't visit right?"
"I think it's past time since we put our differences behind."
"Wow. That coming from you is rich." Allan snickered.
"Are you gonna bicker all the way? Or do something about it?"
"I'm gonna visit you on Sunday. I'm going to visit Tory's family on Saturday. Make sure everyone is there by Sunday. I'm gonna teach you all how to cultivate."
"Cultivation. Are you sure?"
"Yeah. why?"
"Did you know that our family is the only of the top families that doesn't have cultivators? We are only at where we are now because the country forbids cultivators to interfere with the normal people. Of course, this information is closed to the public and I only know of it because I happened to eavesdrop on some conversation before. Of course I didn't do anything shady back then and relied on the other families as well, so that counts as well."
"Wow, this information will change my plans slightly. Thank you for letting me know."
"Why don't you come tomorrow instead of Sunday?"
"I'm gonna have to end the Dragon Electronics tomorrow. So it'll be quite hard to find time to teach all the family about cultivation, since it's gonna take a whole day. Besides Sunday is better since no one will be busy."
"What happened with Dragon Electronics?" Allan's dad asked.
"Their heir threatened me. I'm gonna show that you can't mess with a cultivator and leave unpunished." Then Allan recounted what happened earlier.
"They're too arrogant, many people don't like dealing with them. It's just that they know how to invest in research and are always ahead of the competitors. But not by much. It's their doom for being too stupid. I'll also move some sticks on my side here and shut some of their operations. Thanks for letting me know."
"Thank you for that. But still, I'll deal a blow to them myself as well, after all they threatened the safety of my family."
"That's how a man must act. Good luck son. I'll see you on Sunday."
When Allan finished talking on the phone with his father, all the others were already practicing swordplay in by the lake.
"How was it. Was your father a prick again?" Tory asked.
"Not really. After I told I bought a villa at an expensive place I think he was quite happy that I'm thriving on my own. The talk went smooth. He even told me he will move some sticks to screw with Dragon Electronics."
"That's good to know. Finally you guys will reconcile. I kind of miss your mother." Tory said.
"Yeah. I miss her too. But father was too much of tyrant back then."
