"Did you like them?"
Kristie responded with a curt nod. Her eyes were still glued to the document she handed her. After receiving such a reaction, Barbara's shoulders dropped down. "Do not force yourself to say you like them when you didn't."
"No, I like them," she replied.
"Then why did you reply like that?" Barbara replied with another question.
"How?" Kate furrowed her brows.
Barbara wanted to say emotionless but didn't. She kept silent, probing into Kristie's face to distinguish any emotional sparks, but the woman sat blankly. Her eyes were like a labyrinth of the unknown.
After a pose, she sighed. "The idea will not work, whether you like it or not."
"There is still time before the party," she stated.
