When Kristie opened the door, she found Barbara standing before her. Her cheeks were stained with tears. She must have heard the Marquis's words because his voice was so loud. Kristie hurried, closing the door behind her. "What are you doing here?" she asked blankly.
Barbara didn't answer her, she hung her head low and turned around. A few steps ahead, she stopped. "I upset you before because I had a family, but you have seen their behaviour earlier. You can mock me. I will say nothing," she said, turning her gaze to Kristie.
Barbara wiped the tears with the back of her arm and looked at her. Despite forcing herself to appear well, her pained eyes failed her. She hurried to her room, forcing herself not to she tears anymore.
The door was opened slowly after. Barbara turned to see Kristie looking at her. 'Is she pettying her, or mocking her? Both cases, she deserves it!'
"If you want to cry, just cry. Don't hold," Kristie said.
