"What the ***** did you do?" Kristie glared at her.
Barbara gulped. "W-why? I considered the children's future. They should live in a safe place rather than roaming the streets. They were still young and had exceptional talent to be wasted in the vast kingdom!" she retorted, raising her voice.
She had this idea in her mind for days. It was this morning that she had taken this decision. She went to the orphanage, talked with the superior, and agreed to bring the kids over tomorrow.
Kristie freed her. "You know nothing!" she snarled, walking to the bed and shaking Hans to wake up.
Barbara grabbed Kristie's right hand. "What are you doing? Let them sleep."
"I will take them away," Kristie stated, breaking free from her grip.
Barbara looked in a daze at Kristie. "I thought you would be happy."
"Are you kidding me? Who would be happy to be taken to that horrible place?"
