Barbara went to meet Kristie after the dinner had ended. When she got in, she found Kristie chomping at her meal like a hungry beast. "What are you doing?" she squealed, closing the door. "Why are you eating like that? I already taught you how to dine. You will probably start eating in the dining room the next day. What will you do then?" she reprimanded.
"I forgot," Kristie responded, fixing her posture, but even so, her movements were clumsy and fast.
Barbara sighed and sat opposite her on the sofa. "What did you talk with Richard?" she asked, wanting to inquire about their speech since Kristie had fired her from the room.
"What?" Barbara asked again, sensing the intense look Kristie had sent her.
"He said that he never sent a letter to meet you at the lake," Kristie replied blatantly, wiping her mouth.
Barbara froze in her seat. "You are lying!" she stated unbelievingly.
