Marcy signaled to Victor Von Domon, who immediately understood. Victor walked closer to the leader of the group of men and said, "I will break every bone in your body until you give me what I want." The leader put on a brave facade, lacking the typical assassin's attitude. He gave a cheeky smile and said, "I welcome death. As an assassin, I have made peace with it a long time ago. I do not fear death." Marcy snorted and retorted, "Who said anything about death or killing you? Do you think I will make it easy for you to die? Death will be a relief for you, but I will not give you the benefit of dying." Victor laughed menacingly and said, "You will wish for death, but it will not come. I will give you a moment to reconsider your choice."
The leader did a double take before saying, "I am an apprentice of the cleaner. My master entrusted me with this job because he believed in my abilities. But since I have failed in my very first mission, I might as well be dead." Marcy was the first to react and replied, "I thought you were a tough guy. How disappointing." The leader retorted, "Where is your master now?" The leader replied, "I cannot tell you. You will have to kill me before I betray my master." Sensing the leader's sincerity, Marcy said, "I bet you wouldn't." Marcy turned to Victor and said, "You take care of this. I have no use for him." Victor gestured towards Marcy and said, "Let Victor handle it. There is no need for you to be involved in this trivial matter."
Marcy hesitated for a moment before leaving with Victor. As they drove off into the night sky.The night seemed to be quiet, and the sky was beautiful today. Everything appeared to be well. As they drove along the road, Marcy noticed something wrong with the car. Her face became perplexed and she turned to face Moore. "I am not in control of the car," she said. It seemed that someone had hacked into the car. Moore thought for a few seconds before saying, "Stay calm, let's see how this plays out."
The car drove on its own for about twenty minutes before coming to an intersection near an abandoned site. Moore said to Marcy, "It seems like we are about to meet an unwanted guest." The car doors opened by themselves and both Moore and Marcy stepped out, looking at the unfamiliar surroundings. Moore wondered what kind of danger awaited them. Marcy's face grew cold as she moved closer to Moore. Everywhere was pitch black, with only the moonlight reflecting over them. A voice could be heard coming from all around, as if the person was everywhere at the same time. "I see you made it past my apprentice," the voice said. "Well, you are stronger than I had expected, but unfortunately for you, I can't let you leave. Your death is assured. Do you have the ability to kill both of us?" Moore replied calmly, "The maniacal laugh let out a maniacal laugh before saying, "Look around you, this is your kill site and your graveyard." The man had a husky voice. Marcy spoke up, "You seem confident about your abilities. May I know who you are?" The man with the husky voice replied, "Are you really naive or pretending not to know who I am?" Marcy began to sense danger all around her. She gave a quick glance at Moore, who didn't seem to be bothered by the impending danger.
Instead, he seemed to be in a trance, staring intently at the darkest corner of the site. The man with the husky voice spoke again, "Any last requests?" Moore and Marcy, who were standing very close to the car, didn't respond. Instead, Marcy snorted as if saying, "Give it your best." Within a few seconds, a ticking sound could be heard. Immediately, Marcy reached out to Moore and pulled him forward, moving a considerable distance before the car exploded. A huge crater was left where the car used to be, followed by flames and flying metal. Marcy struggled to gather herself because of the distorted sound in her ears, while Moore seemed perfectly fine. He just stood up and continued to stare in the same direction, as if noticing someone behind the darkness. The man with the husky voice spoke again, "I see you survived my explosion. How admirable of you. But I doubt if you can withstand another attack." He laughed maniacally before adjusting his sleeves, indicating another round of attack. Marcy's face became pale as she yelled out, "You and your traps. Is that all you have to show for yourself? I am afraid you can't kill me if this is all you can do." The man with the husky voice replied, "Are you trying to provoke me? Or cause me to abandon logic and get angry? Do you want to use reverse psychology on me?
Those tricks will not work on someone like me, so don't bother trying. What I expect from you is to accept your fate and die." With that, he launched another set of silver needles dotted with poison at them. Marcy, sensing the danger ahead, flipped into the air and landed by Moore, who immediately put up a shield of pure energy around them. The shield formed a protective barrier around them, while the silver needles dotted with poison could not penetrate it. The man with the husky voice remained calm, saying, "Do you think little tricks like this can protect you from me? It only means I will have to get close and personal." With that, he unsheathed his blade and stepped out of the shadows, revealing himself to Marcy and Moore. Both of them were surprised to see his face. Moore could not believe his eyes. His face was like a skull. "Is the number five assassin a skull-faced dude, or is he wearing a mask to hide his identity?" Moore thought to himself. Marcy teased, "Hey, skull face, is that all you have to show for yourself? I'm not impressed." The man with the skull face spoke with his husky voice, "Your death is already assured. None of you is leaving here alive." In an instant, he disappeared and reappeared in front of Moore and Marcy, about to strike them down with a slash of his sword.
