Chapter 7 - celebrating with family

Moore woke up early to prepare for work and suddenly had a thought. "I feel different today," he thought. He wasn't sure what had changed, but he knew it was something spiritual. As he dismissed the thought, he reminded himself to focus on making a good impression at work. Just then, there was a knock at the door. Moore knew it was Emily and invited her in. Emily was surprised but not bothered as she had come to check on him and see how he was preparing for his first day at the office. She noticed Moore dressing and suggested he change his tie. Moore agreed and asked her which color he should wear. Emily smiled and said a black tie would be better as it would go well with his blue shirt and black suit. "As you wish," Moore replied. Emily then joked that she was his style guru. Before Moore could respond, his phone rang. He looked at the caller ID and smiled, saying to Emily, "It seems my ride is here."

When Moore arrived at the Heart Group headquarters, he was approached by the head of security, who quickly checked him into the system and gave him the all-clear. Once Moore was cleared, he saw Marcy Lane waiting for him at the front desk. Marcy was smartly dressed and looked stunningly beautiful. Moore could only swallow his saliva upon seeing her. Marcy greeted him, "Good morning, Mr. Moore Alexander. I am here to personally escort you to your new office and explain everything to you." The four female receptionists were in awe and a bit confused as to why Marcy, the personal assistant to the boss, was doing this.

They both entered the elevator and pressed the button for the fifteenth floor. Marcy said, "Welcome to your office, Mr. Moore." She reassured him that everything he needed would be provided and he only needed to ask. Moore shrugged and commented, "A chauffeur and a limo seem a bit excessive. A simple car will do." Marcy replied, "OK, no problem. I will look into it." With that, Marcy left the office. Moore sat on his chair, examined his new office, and smiled. He took out his phone and called Christopher. When Christopher answered, Moore said, "Join me for a celebrity dinner at the Italian restaurant on Bay Avenue at 8 pm." He also called Emily.

Shortly after closing hours, Moore took a cab to an Italian restaurant, where he booked a table for three and waited for Christopher and Emily to arrive. After about ten minutes of waiting, both Christopher and Emily arrived at the same time. Christopher was smartly dressed, while Emily was dressed for the evening.

"Emily, you look very beautiful," Moore said. Emily smiled and thanked Moore while staring at Christopher. "You didn't even compliment me," she said. Christopher could only shrug and smile while apologizing.

Before long, a male server named Dylan appeared before them. "My name is Dylan, and I will be your waiter for the evening," he said. Emily ordered crostini, a bowl of cioncisa with salad, and a slice of rice cake for dessert. Christopher ordered risotto with asparagus, while Moore ordered carne e pepe. For drinks, they ordered Villa Gemma and Mosnel.

After taking their orders, Dylan left to give them some privacy.

Not long after, a group of about fifty men walked into the restaurant, standing in front of Moore. The men were led by none other than Victor Von Domon, one of Tony Blind's top lieutenants, sometimes called the "baby face assassin". Before Victor Von Domon could say a word, Dylan the waiter approached him and said, "Sir, this is a restricted area. Please don't cause any trouble here." Victor slapped him, saying, "Idiot! Don't you know who I am?" Dylan could only hold his sore cheek while remaining expressionless. Turning back towards Moore, Victor continued, "You dare lay your hands on Tony's men." "I'm sorry to say, your life must be forfeited," Victor threatened. Christopher and Emily were scared out of their wits, but Moore's expression darkened and he fell into a cold-like trance. Before long, Moore started attacking again. His strikes were swift, like a phantom, both descending and ascending, maneuvering through the men. His techniques were outstanding, like those of the ancient martial arts masters, flawless and without flow or imperfections. After a few minutes, it was over and none were left standing. Victor Von Domon felt his legs trembling like jelly, anxiety taking over him. Before long, his knees gave way and he kneeled down, begging for mercy. Onlookers were stunned to see the great Victor Von Domon kneeling down and begging for mercy. Moore, with a cold and demented expression, spoke, "I believe you said my life should be forfeited. Well, you could forfeit your life now." Victor Von Domon was so frightened that he cried out."Spare my life, and I will be your humble servant for the rest of my life,"Victor pleaded. Moore nodded in acknowledgment and granted the request. Meanwhile, Christopher and Emily could only stare in confusion, wondering what was happening. Moore reverted to his normal self and seemed oblivious to his surroundings. He could only shrug and smile. Soon, all the men left, leaving only Victor Von Domon behind.

Back at the Heart group headquarters, Katerina was sitting down, going through some documents when Marcy rushed in. She met the cold gaze of Katerina before composing herself to speak. "We seem to have a problem with Tony Blend," Marcy said. Katerina was not interested in the topic, so Marcy spoke again. "This concerns Moore Alexander," she continued. Katerina was stunned, and she immediately reacted to the news. "What seems to be the problem?" she asked. "Tony Blend is hunting Moore Alexander, and he wants him dead," Marcy explained. Katerina laughed. "This will be a good test for him," she thought to herself. "Don't intervene in this issue, just watch over Moore Alexander. Let's see how he does. He needs to get stronger to deal with what is ahead." With that said, Katerina dismissed Marcy.
