Early the next day, both Moore and Marcy were about to leave Marcy's apartment. When Moore thought of something, "I can't go to the office looking like this," he said. Marcy asked, "And why can't you?" Moore replied, "I am wearing the same clothes as I did when I left the office yesterday." Marcy smiled and said, "There are no rules stopping you from it. But since you are concerned about it, let's go to the nearest city mall around the corner. I am sure I can get you a designer suit." Moore, while laughing, said, "You don't have to. I can just go home and change." Marcy replied, "Not if you want to be late for the office." Moore nodded and said, "Okay, but I am paying." They both drove off in Marcy's car.
Within a couple of minutes, they were at the city mall complex, a big building with state-of-the-art facilities. In other words, a magnificent edifice built by the city. As they walked into the mall, Marcy pointed towards a designer store located on the first floor. The name of the store was Manuel Ritz Suit. Manuel Ritz was one of the best homemade tailor fashion designers who fashioned custom-made fashion-fitted bodysuits for high earners. Marcy led Moore into the store and introduced him to the store manager. She explained, "My friend here needs a suit now for work. Please don't take too long, we are in a rush." The store manager called his colleagues and, within minutes, three men and a woman stepped forward. They took all kinds of measurements and data before leading Moore to the changing room. When Moore stepped out a few minutes later, he was wearing a perfectly sized custom suit. Marcy could only look at him in awe while covering her mouth. She said to the manager, "We will need two pairs, please." The manager quickly responded, "Yes, madam," and hurriedly rushed to the back room.
After a few minutes, the manager came back with a pair of suits and handed them to Marcy and Moore. After close examination, Marcy was satisfied. The manager spoke, "That will be two hundred thousand, please." Moore was speechless. Marcy could only smile and hand over her debit card. The manager took it and swiped it on the card machine. The machine's green light lit up, and a clicking sound was heard. The manager thanked Marcy and handed her the debit card. As they left the store and walked down the hallway, Moore heard a familiar voice calling out his name. He turned in the direction of the voice and saw Rose walking up to him. Moore was in a state of panic. How could he explain Marcy to Rose and vice versa? He thought. Rose, looking beautiful as always, walked up to Moore and Marcy with a smile on her face. She spoke first, "Moore, it seems you have forgotten about me so soon." Moore, feeling awkward, could only chuckle and say, "Why would I do that?" Marcy, feeling left out, spoke, "Moore, are you not going to introduce me to your friend?" Moore could only clench his teeth before saying, "Marcy Lane, meet Rose Clarke. Rose is one of my old friends, and Rose, meet Marcy Lane. Miss Marcy is a colleague at work." The two women stared at each other as if they were in a staring competition, sizing each other up. Moore felt as if time was playing a trick on him. It just didn't want to move fast enough. He felt the world around him pause. After staring at each other for a while, Marcy grabbed Moore's hand, pressed her upper body close to his, and finally spoke, "It is my pleasure to meet you, Rose."I hope that our paths will cross again in the near future, however, it seems that we are left with no choice but to bid farewell for now. A sense of urgency surrounds us as we must depart promptly. As Rose observed Marcy's actions, a chill passed through her, and after exchanging a glance with Moore, she gracefully hinted at the need for a discussion by suggesting Moore contact her at his convenience. With composure, Rose then continued on her way, leaving Moore feeling slightly uncomfortable and at a loss for words, prompting him to merely respond with a nod of understanding.
Following Rose's departure, Moore confronted Marcy regarding her indifferent behavior towards Rose, only to receive a surprising explanation. With a reassuring smile, Marcy disclosed that her nonchalance was a deliberate strategy to protect Rose's feelings, acknowledging Moore's existing commitment. Before Moore could react, Marcy gently redirected their attention towards the imminent need to leave promptly to avoid any potential lateness.
When they arrived at the office, everyone was surprised to see them together. A lady at the front desk whispered to her colleagues, "It seems Marcy is being friendly to the new guy." Another colleague chimed in, "They are more than just friends." It wasn't long before the gossip had started spreading around.
Meanwhile, Katerina Heart was sitting in her office when Madam Gee and some of the company executives walked in. Madam Gee spoke, "Moore Alexander has just arrived in the building. Maybe you should send for him." Katerina looked at her and thought for a moment before responding, "No, I will go to him." Most of the executives were left dumbfounded. They were shocked to the core. Katerina continued, "I want to meet Moore Alexander personally," she said sternly. The expressions on most of the executives' faces were that of surprise and confusion. In all these years, they had never seen Katerina welcome a staff member personally.
Meanwhile, Moore Alexander was in his office when suddenly, the door opened. He looked up and saw a beautiful lady walking towards him. Behind her was a familiar face. Moore recognized Madam Gee immediately. But as he stared at Katerina, he sensed a familiar spirit, perhaps a kindred spirit. The closer Katerina approached him, the stronger the feeling became. His inner being began to violently shake, as if in the presence of a powerful being. Suddenly, Katerina held out her hand towards Moore. The moment both hands made contact, there was a thunderous explosion in the air.
