Moore had just gotten back home after leaving Rose's apartment. As his phone rang, he recognized the number and decided to answer it. A familiar voice said, "Mr. Moore Alexander, why did you not come for your interview at the Heart Group headquarters today?". The person on the other end of the line was none other than Marcy Lane. Moore was taken aback and hesitated for a moment before replying. Marcy continued, "Mr. Moore, where are you right now?" Moore responded, "I am at home, if you must know." Marcy demanded, "Do not go anywhere, I am coming over." She ended the call before Moore could speak. He thought to himself, "She doesn't know where I live."
As Moore was lost in thought, he heard the front door open. He stood up to see Emily walking in. "You're home early," he noted. Emily looked up and saw Moore standing by the stairs. "I was in the neighborhood with a client, showing her some properties. I decided to come home once we were done," she explained. Moore asked, "So you're taking a break? Do you plan to return to the office after?" Emily replied, "Of course, I do. I'm still on the clock." As they were chatting, the doorbell rang.
"Emily, is that your client at the door?" Moore asked curiously. Emily replied, "I don't think so." She walked towards the door and opened it to find a beautiful, well-dressed lady standing there. Emily was surprised and politely asked, "Hello, who are you?" The lady replied, "I'm Marcy Lane from the Heart Group. I'm looking for Mr. Moore Alexander. Is he in?" Emily looked up to where Moore was standing, trying to gauge his reaction.
Moore heard Marcy say his name and gave a nod. Emily also nodded in response and turned to Marcy, saying, "Yes, he's in. Please come in." Marcy stepped through the door and saw Moore coming down the stairs, wearing a white shirt and black pants.
"Mister Moore Alexander, I presume?" Marcy quickly spoke, to which Moore nodded in acknowledgement. "I'm here to take you to the Heart Group headquarters for your interview." Moore was about to leave with Marcy when Emily interjected, "I hope you're not going to the interview dressed like that." Moore hesitated before asking, "What's wrong with the way I'm dressed?" Emily didn't bother explaining and instead ran up the stairs to Christopher's room, where she opened his closet and pulled out a beautiful tuxedo. "Please come over and try this on," she called to Moore. "Don't you know image is everything? The way you dress matters," she chimed in.
After a while, Moore came back dressed in Christopher's tuxedo. Marcy's face turned pink as she stared at him. "Mister Moore, you look handsome," she said. Moore smiled and thanked her. The two of them walked through the door, only to find a chauffeur standing by a limousine waiting for them. The chauffeur, a middle-aged man, greeted Moore with respect and opened the door for them. They got into the limo and drove off. Emily watched from the window in the house and immediately called Christopher, her husband. "Honey, guess what?" she exclaimed. Christopher couldn't answer but replied with a soft tone, "Just tell me." Emily replied, "Moore has a new girlfriend. She came to pick him up." Christopher smiled to himself and responded, "It's about time."
A short while later, they arrived at the Heart Group headquarters. As they walked into the magnificent tower, Moore could only imagine what it was like inside. Marcy led Moore through the building, bypassing the security details, and straight to the elevator. She pressed the button for the sixteenth floor, and they went directly to the meeting room where they found Mr. Michael Stone, one of the company's executives, waiting. Marcy introduced Michael as the Executive Manager of Regional Sales. Michael offered Moore a seat and said, "Welcome to the Heart Group, Mr. Moore Alexander." He was being formal in his introduction. Moore could only nod respectfully in response. Michael continued speaking, "Mr. Moore, should you choose to accept it, your position will be Director of Corporate Affairs."
Moore was shocked to the core; when did I get the job? I never had an interview, he thought to himself. Sensing Moore's confusion, Michael explained, "Mr. Moore, you do not have to bother yourself with the interview process. You were recommended by higher-ups." Moore was once again confused and wondered who would do that. He could only ask, "Please, Mr. Michael, are you sure it is me they recommended?" Michael smiled and answered, "You are the one. Don't worry about who recommended you."
"Soon enough, you will meet the person," he added. With that, he brought out a company card with Moore's picture on it and a credit card, saying, "Welcome to the family. Let me show you to your office, and then I will introduce you to some of the staff in the company."
After half an hour, Moore left Heart Group headquarters. He found the chauffeur waiting for him with the limousine. The chauffeur introduced himself as Mr. Moore. My name is Andrew Robinson. I will be your personal chauffeur. Moore's mind was buzzing. He could not imagine having his own chauffeur in his lifetime. He nodded at Andrew and said, "Take me home." On his way home, he called Rose. "Rose, are you free tonight?" Rose was surprised to see Moore's call because she had been thinking of calling him too. She immediately answered, "What's the occasion?" Moore replied, "Don't spoil the surprise. Please join me at the Diamond Restaurant this evening. I will send my driver to pick you up at 8pm." With that, he ended the call.
Back at Heart Group headquarters, Madame Gee appeared from thin air and stood in front of Michael Stone. She asked, "Is it done?" Michael replied, "It is settled. He is with us now." While Madam Gee was still in discussion, Katerina also appeared again, asking the same question, "Is it done?" Madam Gee replied, "He is with us now. We will protect him this time."
