Chapter 59 - Chapter Fifty Nine

~Anonymous goddess~

Lansel sat on the bed and waited till she dozed off. It didn't take long when Niamh started to breath heavily. She was furrowing her brows, moving uncomfortably in her sleep. It's like she's having nightmares. She suddenly grabbed the sheets, shutting her eyes tightly.

Lansel noticed her discomfort and called out her name, she screamed and sat up. Lansel pulled her into a hug, patting her back soothingly.

Niamh was breathing heavily and beads of perspiration stood out on her forehead. She's scared, extremely frightened.

Why did Lansel looked that way in her dream? What's happening to her?

Lansel wondered what she must have dreamt about that made her look so terrified and frightened. After calming her down for a while, they disentangled.

"Are you alright?" He asked. Niamh stared at his face and nodded slowly. Her mind couldn't still comprehend why Lansel looked that way in her dream.

"I'll inform the maids to bring some..." Lansel tried standing up but Niamh grabbed his arm, giving him a pleading look.

"Please don't leave, I'm scared" she whispered. Lansel nodded and sat beside her, cupping her cheeks.

"It's alright, it's just a dream" he coaxed her.

"But it felt so real, Lansel. I'm scared and confused. I don't want to loose you" she cried. Lansel stiffened when he heard here last sentence. 'i don't want to loose you'

He suddenly was eager to know about her dream but he doesn't have the heart to terrify her more so, he only hugged her close and coaxed her. "I'm right here with you. I'm not leaving you"

Niamh snuffed and looked up at him. "Can you sleep with me, here?"

Lansel froze but then, he remembered that she only meant the literal meaning of 'sleep with me' and not the other way round. He breathed out softly and nodded.

Niamh adjusted and gave him a space to lie down before she laid beside him, burying her had on his chest. Lansel pulled her close and lazily draped his hand around her.

"Sleep, Silver Cat" he whispered.

"Good night, Damsel" it didn't take long for her to doze off.

Lansel stared at nothing reminiscing about what she said. 'Is it Damien?'

Seven Days Later...

Prince Lansel walked into the Queen's Manor, his demeanor akin to the still waters. The Queen was talking to a man but when she saw Lansel, she told him to excuse them. The man bowed at Lansel before leaving.

Lansel stared blankly at the door before turning to his mother

"Mother, what is Designer Tiberius doing here?" He asked, taking gentle strides towards her.

"Don't bother, I called for him. Come sit here" Queen Diantha responded, and gestured. Lansel sat beside her, still giving her that cranky look.

"Why that stare? Your wedding is in seven days, don't I need to prepare?" Queen Diantha asked. Lansel's face ashened in shock. Like is she really serious about him getting married to an anonymous goddess?!

"To whom I'm I getting married to?" Lansel asked calmly and she chuckled.

"The rightful anonymous goddess of Lansel Styrix"

"Who is she mother?" Lansel asked again, he's curious and eager to know who the goddess will be.

"Don't bother, you don't know her but you'll definitely like her because she's a beauty, kind and fit to be a goddess" the Queen seemed enthusiastic about the whole thing but Lansel only stared weirdly at her.

"But mother..."

"No complains Lansel, you goddess is found. You'll get married and be crowned as the Moon Supreme" she cut him off, firmly.

Lansel sighed and stared at her face. "What if I like someone else? Does that mean my feelings never mattered?"
