Chapter 62 - Chapter Sixty Two

~Poisoned~

"Neev dear, are you alright?" Queen Diantha asked softly.

"No, it's just a nightmare" Neev tried calming down her racing heart. She doesn't know why Damien kept appearing and reappearing in her dream, like a recurring decimal. Niamh looked though the window to see the sun shining brightly that got her thinking when she slept.

"Don't worry Neev, it's just a dream, okay?" Queen Diantha cooed, cupping her cheeks.

Just staring at the Queen and feeling her warm hands caressing her cheeks made Niamh relax. All her thoughts and worries washed away and was replaced by a sudden calmness and peace of mind.

"Thank you, mother" she smiled.

"I came to check on you but found you sleeping"

"Oh"

"Can we go to my study? Let me teach you your Powers and also read some books. There are lots of things you need to learn" the Queen suggested.

"Yes mother" Niamh quickly nodded. She very much like the Queen's company because she learn a lot from her. Well, the Queen is doing that to keep Niamh's occupied so that she won't think about the whole marriage stuff.

~~~•••~~~
It's four days and the occasion drew near. Lansel never came to check on Niamh line he does before which made Niamh to be sure that he's truly getting married and he has nothing to do with her.
But his family were acting totally different. They grew more closer to Niamh and always spend time together. Princess Neriah, Lord Nero, Arthur, Lady Icelyn, Itzel and Cheyenne are good examples. They spend almost all day together, playing games and visiting different places.
Today which is the fifth day, Lord Nero and Princess Neriah took Niamh to the Art Sanctum. It's a large building, mainly for arts. There are various artworks hung high on the walls and lots of artists, painting.
There's a particular spot where the portraits of the royal family were arranged since from the ancestral time to the present, representing the royal lineage of the family. The last on the portrait is King Theron Styrix, the late Moon Supreme which is Lansel's father.
Princess Neriah went ahead explaining the Noble lineage and royal heritage of the royalties.
"Is this your father?" Niamh asked, pointing at King Theron.
"That's King Theron Styrix" princess Neriah replied, smiling bitterly.
Niamh stared intently at the picture. King Theron looked very much like Prince Lansel, or was it prince Lansel that looked like King Theron? The point is, King Theron and Prince Lansel looked alike.
He also had that gorgeous sea green eyes and a strong defined masculine jawline- a perfection in her eyes. Only that King Theron had that long grey hair and grey beards. He's just the older version of Prince Lansel.
"Come here, silver lady. Try painting" Lord Nero dragged her to a chair.
Prince Dionysios was there in the throne room with Lucretzia, the Queen, Eudocia and few guards.
"We're done distributing the invitation letters as ordered, your majesty. Everything is set" Dionysios stated with a bow.
"Lansel can happily get married and rule the Moon Realm, isn't that great?!" Queen Diantha smiled charmingly. Suddenly, her smile faded and git replaced by a pained look as she squeezed her chest, letting out a painful wince.
"Mother!" Dionysios rushed to her side, worriedly.
"Mother, what's wrong?" He asked again.
"Eu...docia" Queen Diantha drawled her name.
"I'll get your medicine right away, Your Grace" Eudocia bowed and left.
Queen Diantha kept whimpering, squeezing her heart, feeling a certain pain. Her head was going in circles. That's the symptoms of the poison that Eudocia fed her with that is working.
 Lucretzia also rushed to her side.
"Stay with me, Your Grace. Eudocia will be here soon" she patted her back.
Shortly after, Eudocia came back with a bowl containing the Queen's poisoned medicine, ready to feed her but Lucretzia stopped her.
"Wait!"
