Chapter 59 - I'm warning you all

"Who the fuck are you? Why do I need your permission…." The team leader turned to look at Kael and was petrified on the spot. "You… you…."

Slap….

Kael slapped the team leader and asked with an annoyed look on his face, "What you? Finish what you are saying."

"Idiots, what are you all blanking out for? Immediately take your battle formation," shouted the team leader, who came back to his senses while holding his swollen cheek.

All the mutants looked and nodded at each other, then started surrounding Kael. Their battle formation was nothing but attacking the enemy from all directions.

Yawn….

Kael yawned lazily and immediately changed his carefree look to a stern one. "I'm warning you all, don't confuse me like this by surrounding me, because…."

Kael paused and looked at all the mutants surrounding him.

"Because?" All the mutants looked at him curiously.

Kael squinted and peered through his narrowed eyes and continued, "Because if I'm confused, then I will beat the shit out of you all at the same time."

"Hmph, let's confuse him more and more with our attacks," said the team leader while gritting his teeth.

One after another, mutants started to attack him, but it wasn't much difficult for him to dodge their continuous attacks. He slowly walked towards the young lady who was looking at him like she was looking at a monster.

He moved his head close to her ear and asked, "Hey, was it you who stared at me intensely just now? Hehe, don't tell me that you fell for my looks? Of course, I know that I look handsome, but there's no need to stare at me so intensively. How about this, I will take care of these annoying insects, and you are going to stay with me."

As soon as he finished speaking, he stuck the knife into the body of one of the mutants who came to attack him. Slowly, blood seeped out of the injury where he had stuck the knife. The mutant slowly lowered his head to look at the injury and passed out on the spot.

"Ah…." The young lady screamed with a fearful look on her face.

Puchuk….

Puchuk….

He started stabbing the mutant rhythmically as if he were playing some kind of music. All the mutant corpses lay on the ground. He turned to look at the team leader and said, "I will spare your life. You better not appear in my sight again, but send my warning to your higher-ups: don't ever mess with me if they don't want to face the consequences that every mutant team sent by them has faced. Also, I will keep her with me as a winning trophy."

He came close to the team leader and asked, "Do you have any issues with what I said?"

"No… no… no, I don't have any," said the team leader, his back drenched in cold sweat.

"Good," Kael said and turned to look at the young lady and asked with an evil smile on his face, "What about you?"

"I don't have any," the young lady said, tears welling up in her eyes.

"Good," said Kael and bared his teeth.

He came close to her and reached out his hand to hold her waist. Moving close to her face, he said, "Let's go to your new home."

Kael moved at full speed and appeared in front of the entrance of the temporary base. The entrance door was opened by the zombie leader, and Kael moved close to the zombie leader and said, "Take care of her, okay?"

"Okay, boss," said the zombie leader and turned to look at her.

As usual, she used her ability to see through the disguise instinctively, and she was scared shitless. She passed out on the spot after finding out the identity of the young man Kael was speaking to.

"How the fuck does he have a zombie leader as a subordinate?" These were the last words that passed through her mind before she passed out.

"Boss…"

"It's okay, she just passed out, nothing to worry about. Just carry her to the unused room and keep a close eye on her," said Kael with a stern gaze.

"Okay, boss," the male zombie leader nodded his head and carried Tapsi towards the unused room.

Meanwhile, at the Miller family mansion….

"What?" A middle-aged man stood up, his eyes turning bloodshot.

A middle-aged woman hurriedly ran into the room and asked, "What happened?"

"Our son… he… he is dead…. Not even his corpse was left behind," said the middle-aged man in a stuttering voice, tears streaming down his face.

"What? Our son… is dead? How is this possible? Didn't you say that he would be okay since the variant was sent together with him? Then why did my son die?" The middle-aged woman collapsed to the ground, despair and sadness filling her eyes.

"Tell me… how did my son die?" asked the middle-aged man, wiping the tears off his face.

The shadow guard hesitated for a moment and said, "He was killed and eaten by zombies."

"Killed and eaten by zombies?"

Crack….

The middle-aged man broke his walking stick and looked at the shadow guard with a confused yet angry look on his face. "Impossible! I sent more than five guards and a variant together with my son. How can mindless zombies kill my son?"

"He was killed by zombies after he was defeated by that guy. That guy is the one who killed the guards and the variant you sent to protect the young master," said the shadow guard.

"That guy? Who is that guy?" asked the middle-aged man with a frown on his face.

"That guy's name is Kael, and he is more dangerous and ruthless than a zombie leader," said the shadow guard nervously.

"Oh, he is more dangerous and ruthless than a zombie leader? Interesting. I want to see if he is more dangerous and ruthless than me or not," said the middle-aged man, his eyes narrowed into slits.

"Call those siblings. They have work to do for me," said the middle-aged man in a loud voice.

"Okay, boss," said the guard and disappeared into the shadows.

Meanwhile, at the garage….

"Boss got work for us?"

"Ha? What a drag."

Both siblings voiced out the moment they heard the words said by the Miller family head's personal shadow guard.
