Chereads / RWBY: Oscar the gamer / Chapter 56 - Last attack

Chapter 56 - Last attack

The Old Knight Rushed at hit, as he blocked his sword with Crimson Fang and Infernal Claymore, a then Oscar stepped Crimson Fang into the boss as he then used Gun half, as bullets blasted the Old Knight away

Ding!

[Crimson Fang: Blood Reaver Skill activated. Hp restored]

As then the Old Knight hand then got cover by Lava as he crashed with Oscar, as in high speed they both moved to attack and block, as each swing and attack was blocked in high speed as lava went everywhere as then Oscar then used [Infernal Cleave], as the hit the Old Knight as fire was every where aw the Old Knight was sent out the window as Oscar then landed ws he looked at the Old Knight Get up.

As it stands up, as the Old Knight it's sword turned into flame, as the Old Knight rused at Oscar, as then two fire lions was made next to the Knight as it went for strike, as then Oscar seeing this he used almost all his Mana to cast of powerful [Water Blast], the Blast do water went, but it was better to be described as Wave, as it hit the boss but then came out the other side, steam coming out it's body, as it's hands ones again cover in lava it hit Oscar as he was sent back, as the Boss rushed at him

Seeing this Oscar used his wings to stable him self, as the Boss came rushing as Oscar blocked the attack as the Boss went for another strike, Oscar used [Shadow Arms] to holds the boss hands back, he then used his Claws as he made slash as the boss screamed.

Oscar just spoke as his claws was steaming. "Hot! Hot! Hot!"

As then he stabbed his Claw again, he didn't care how hot it was, as he then used [Water Blast] as it Directly the boss sending it back as Oscar then kicked the boss on the Sky.

Oscar looked as the Boss went to the sky as it felt back hitting the earth. "Will time too use this".

As then Oscar hand crackling with lights, as then he sent to the sky, the monent it went to the sky, the clouds started to darken, thunder started to happen, as then rain starts to fall, as Oscar hands was still up, the Boss rushed at him.

Oscar then put his hand down. "Kirin"

As then then a Japanese Style Dragon made of Lighting came down, as it hit the boss with all its force, just to makes use Oscar sure [Kirin] 3 more times.

The sky roared as the fourth [Kirin] descended.

A massive Japanese-style lightning dragon coiled through the dark clouds before slamming into the Old Knight, engulfing it in a blinding storm of electricity.

BOOOOOOOM!

The impact shook the entire dungeon.

The walls of the twisted Beacon Academy crumbled. The ground cracked. Smoke and steam rose into the sky as electric sparks danced around the battlefield.

Oscar landed, panting. His wings twitched, and his Grimm transformation pulsed, demanding more energy to sustain itself. His mana bar was nearly empty.

He stared into the cloud of smoke, waiting.

Ding!

[Boss HP: 5% Remaining]

Oscar's eyes widened.

"Seriously!? After FOUR Kirins!?"

The smoke slowly cleared…

And there it was.

The Old Knight stood, barely, its armor shattered, molten lava leaking from its body like blood. Its eyes, once a deep orange glow, were now flickering dangerously—on the verge of death, but still standing.

It let out a low, heavy breath.

Then—

It raised its remaining sword, fire still burning wildly along its blade.

Oscar clicked his tongue. "You really don't know when to stay down, huh?"

Ding!

[Boss Skill Activated: Final Gambit – Last Stand of the Fallen Knight]

The Old Knight's body ignited.

Flames exploded from its core, wrapping around its battered form like a second skin.

Oscar gritted his teeth.

He had no mana left. His body was at its limit.

"Guess I'll just have to end this with brute force then."

He gripped both Crimson Fang and the Infernal Claymore, his red Grimm eyes glowing.

Both warriors charged at each other—

One final clash.

The Old Knight Rushed at him, as then Oscar side stepped the attack, as he looked at the Boss as then he used Infernal Claymore, and used [Infernal Claymore], as he cut the boss head of killing the boss, as he transformed back into Huamn

Oscar exhaled deeply, his body aching as he felt his Grimm transformation fade away.

The battlefield was silent—no more roaring flames, no more clashes of steel. The Old Knight's decapitated body slowly crumbled into ashes, disappearing into the void.

Ding!

[Pray Slaughter]

Ding!

[Host has leveled up.]

[Level 51 → Level 56]

Oscar felt a surge of power rush through his body, his wounds closing slightly as his stats increased.

Ding!

[Rewards Obtained:]

Infernal Claymore (A sword imbued with hellfire, capable of burning through even the toughest defenses.)

Skill Orb (Contains one of the Old Knight's skills. The skill is chosen based on Host's Luck stat.)

Oscar looked at the items in his inventory. The Infernal Claymore was a beast of a weapon—longer, heavier, and far more dangerous than Crimson Fang. The blade still radiated heat, the edge glowing with embers.

But what caught his attention the most was the Skill Orb.

"Huh…" He stared at the orb in his hand.

"Well… let's see what I get."

Ding!

[Skill Orb Absorbed.]

[Due to Host's Luck stat…]

[New Skill Acquired: Lion's Wrath – Flame Devourer]

Oscar's eyes widened.

[Lion's Wrath – Flame Devourer]

(A powerful melee skill that allows the user to consume fire-based attacks and redirect them as their own. The more fire absorbed, the stronger the counterattack.)

Oscar grinned. "Now that's what I'm talking about!"

Oscar then stopped as he remembers all the skill. "You gotta be kidding me, no [Final Gambit], No [Eruption Slash, No [Molten Cleave], not even the Skill that allows himed to summoned does Fire Lion, but I get this one".

Ding!

[In my defence Host, it was based on your Luck]

Oscar sighed, rubbing his temples. "Yeah, yeah, I know… But come on! The guy was throwing out fire lions, creating lava slashes, and what do I get? A glorified fire absorber?"

Ding!

[Correction: Lion's Wrath – Flame Devourer is highly versatile. It allows you to absorb and redirect flame-based attacks, making it ideal for countering fire-wielding opponents.]

Oscar groaned. "That still doesn't change the fact that I was hoping for something more explosive!"

Ding!

[Host You just leveled up five times, got a new sword, and a skill that can literally turn enemy fire against them. And you're complaining?]

Oscar crossed his arms. "It's about style, Blake. Imagine summoning two giant fire lions and sending them to tear through enemies! That's peak badassery!"

Ding!

[Or, you could just not get hit in the first place and use what you actually have.]

Oscar sighed dramatically. "Fine, fine. Guess I'll have to work with Lion's Wrath until I find another skill orb."

Ding!

[New Objective: Train with Infernal Claymore and Lion's Wrath]

Oscar raised an eyebrow. "Wait, you're actually giving me a mission for that?"

Ding!

[Yes. Because you're acting like a child and need to learn how to use what you have.]

The next Day, Jaune was looking at Oscar who was holding Internal Claymore, as when he said "Hey Jaune let's train with our sword". He was expecting Oscar to use His newly Fused Crimson Fang, but not this beast of Weapon, that he is wondering how Oscar can Carry the weapon twice his size.

Jaune just looked at Oscar as he spoke. "Oscar where the name of the Emerald God you got that from".

Oscar looked at as he spoke, as he activated Loki Lie. "I know a few people".

Jaune stared at Oscar, his eyebrows furrowing. "A few people? Oscar, that's huge and you're holding it like it's a feather. There's no way you could've gotten that from anywhere around here."

Oscar smirked, his eyes twinkling mischievously. "Hey, I've got some connections—a few favors, some very unique shopping trips. You know, the usual." He spun the massive Infernal Claymore effortlessly, the blade humming with power. "Besides, it's fun."

Jaune blinked a few times, clearly not buying it. "Are you saying you're just that strong? Or do you have some kind of hidden strength-enhancing spell or magic or whatever?"

Oscar chuckled, still twirling the sword with ease. "Let's just say... I have some special resources. But, enough talk, Jaune. Are you ready to train or not?"

Jaune shook his head, still staring at the sword in disbelief. "I'm definitely not ready to fight against that. But I guess if we're training... let's go easy today."

Oscar's grin widened. "Oh, we'll start easy. But I don't know about you, Jaune, but I'm all about pushing limits."

Jaune muttered under his breath, "Yeah... that's what I'm worried about."

Oscar raised the Infernal Claymore and gestured for Jaune to get into position. "Alright then, let's see what you've got!"

Oscar and Jauen then moved, as Jauen blocked the sword as smark flyer as Jauen flet like Crocea Mors was going to break, even do it was not going to, as then Jaune moved away

Ever sense Jaune had unlocked his Semblance, his figthing style has become used sword techniques that Pyrrha helps him with and use his Semblance to boost him, his Semblance was busted as he moved ducks and blocked ever attack as he was ready for anything Oscar used [Infernal Cleave], The blade glowed intensely before releasing a massive wave of fiery energy, tearing through the air, as Jaune just moved out the the way. Scratch that he was not prepared for that.

Jaune just looked at him as he spoke. "What was that?".

Oscar looker as eh used the Lye about his Semblance to cover up the Sword skill. "I used my semblance of Energy and particle Manipulation and did that".

Jaune eyed Oscar skeptically, still trying to catch his breath from the narrow escape. "Energy and particle manipulation? Really?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "You don't look like the kind of guy who'd be using techy science stuff like that."

Oscar flashed him a grin. "Hey, you can't just go around giving out all the secrets, Jaune. Some things need to remain mysterious." He twirled the Infernal Claymore once more, casually brushing off the intense attack.

Jaune lowered his sword slightly, still on guard. "Okay, but seriously—what was that move? I've never seen anything like it. The ground's still smoking."

Oscar shrugged with a nonchalant expression. "You're not the only one who can get creative with their abilities." He took a step forward, getting into a more focused stance. "But enough about that. Let's keep it simple for now. You've got potential, Jaune. But if you want to get anywhere near my level, you've got to think faster and harder."

Jaune nodded, a bit frustrated by the mystery but determined to keep up. "Alright. No more holding back then."

Oscar's eyes glinted with challenge. "Now you're talking. Let's see what you've got."

Jaune tightened his grip on Crocea Mors, his aura flaring around him as he engaged his Semblance. As the two swordsmen clashed again, their blades met with a clash of sparks. Jaune focused, his attacks becoming more fluid, using the enhanced speed and strength granted by his Semblance. He blocked, parried, and countered, each movement deliberate, but Oscar was always a step ahead.

Oscar smirked, his own experience shining through. "You're improving, Jaune. But keep it up. The real test is yet to come."

Jaune gritted his teeth, determined not to fall behind again. "I'm ready. Let's see if I can actually land a hit this time."

The spar continued, a dance of swordplay and energy manipulation, each fighter pushing their limits. Oscar may have had the power and skill advantage, but Jaune's relentless drive and newfound control over his Semblance kept him on his toes.

In the the stand of the training room, was Team ROWBY and Team JNPR, as they saw there members Spar.

Weiss was the first to speak as she pointed at Oscars. "This is ridiculous, how does he keep getting stronger day by day, what is he doing".

Blake just stayed quiet, not saying anything about Oscar Gamer System, as she just looked at the fight. "Jaune is holding his own... Never mind".

As everyone can hear a body slamming to the wall, as they saw it was Jaune as Oscar looked at him. "Good spar".

Jaune then spoke. "Why is it You and Pyrrha that always send me to the wall".

Oscar chuckled lightly, walking over to where Jaune had slammed into the wall. "You're too predictable, Jaune. You've got the strength, but you need to think outside the box more. If you're going to rely only on your Semblance, you're going to keep getting knocked around."

Jaune groaned as he pushed himself up, brushing dust off his armor. "Yeah, yeah, I get it. I need more strategy, not just power." He gave Oscar a wry smile. "But seriously, Pyrrha and you? Both of you hit harder than a freight train."

Oscar shrugged nonchalantly, wiping the sweat off his brow. "I just have better reflexes, and you're too focused on muscle. It's not just about swinging hard. It's about knowing when to swing and when to let your opponent make the first move." He turned to face the watching teams. "Besides, this is just a warm-up."

Weiss folded her arms, her eyebrow twitching in disbelief. "A warm-up? This is how you train? No wonder you two are so insufferable." She shot a look at Ruby, who was grinning widely. "I mean, how are you supposed to improve if you're always destroying your teammates?"

Ruby hopped up excitedly, grinning from ear to ear. "It's because they push each other to get better! It's like... uh... training harder, so they can get even stronger! Right, Oscar?"

Oscar looked over at Ruby, giving her a thumbs up. "Exactly. The more you're pushed, the more you grow. But it's not about destroying your teammates, Weiss. It's about testing their limits. Helping them grow stronger so they can fight with everything they have when the time comes."

Blake finally spoke, her voice soft but steady. "Oscar's right. Training is about pushing each other. Jaune might be knocked into walls today, but he'll learn from it. That's how we all get better. Even if it's frustrating sometimes."

Jaune smiled at Blake's support, even though he was still rubbing his sore back. "Thanks, Blake. I guess I still have a ways to go."

Oscar, noticing Jaune's frustration, nodded. "Hey, don't worry. You've got potential. You just have to trust in your skills and your growth. I'm just here to make sure you get there a little faster."

Team JNPR stood around Jaune, all of them offering their support in one way or another. Nora gave him a playful nudge. "He's right, Jaune! You'll be awesome like Pyrrha one day, just... without the beating!" She grinned cheekily.

Jaune laughed, wiping his face. "Yeah, I hope so."

Ruby jumped in front of the group, bouncing with energy. "Okay! Who's next? This sparring session isn't over yet, right? I wanna see how fast I can go!"

Oscar chuckled and picked up Infernal Claymore again, gesturing to Ruby. "If you want to go next, Ruby, I'm ready."

Weiss sighed dramatically. "Here we go again..."
