Later that night, as Team ROWBY was just doing the thing, Blake was just looking at the new report of the White Fang, as she wondered something.
Yang then looked at her as she spoke. "What wondering about your past".
Blake looked at her as she spoke. "Yes, but I am pretty sure they are fake, they are damaging the reputation".
Oscar then spoke as he looked at her. "Or just let the White Mask Deal with them".
Blake looked at him as she spoke. "Sure let the Vigilantly handle this".
Ruby then spoked looking at her, as she had to much energy. "Oh I have an idea, why don't we attack them, I mean bust what ever crime operations going on there".
Weiss then spoke Coming out of the kitchen. "Are you nuts we could get expel from Beacon".
Oscar leaned back in his chair, watching the conversation unfold. "Weiss has a point," he said, crossing his arms. "If we go after them directly without any solid plan, we'll just be causing problems for ourselves—and possibly for Beacon."
Ruby pouted, bouncing slightly in her seat. "But if we don't do something, they'll just keep getting worse! We are training to be Huntsmen, aren't we? Isn't this part of our job?"
Weiss sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Yes, but there's a difference between doing our job properly and rushing in like reckless idiots."
Yang smirked. "Since when have we not been reckless idiots?"
Weiss groaned. "That's not the point!"
Blake, who had been quietly observing, finally spoke. "If we do decide to interfere, we need more information. We can't just storm in without knowing what we're dealing with."
Oscar nodded. "Agreed. We should at least figure out who is leading this group and what they're planning before making any moves."
Ruby's excitement dimmed slightly, but she still looked determined. "Fine. We'll do recon first. But if we see something bad happening, we have to stop it."
Weiss crossed her arms, clearly still reluctant but not outright rejecting the idea. "If we get caught, I'm blaming all of you."
Yang grinned. "That's fair."
Blake simply sighed. "Let's just hope we don't regret this."
Oscar just looked at them as he spoke. "So anyone has information where they are going to be".
To be real Oscar knew, he was the white fang, but no one in this Room but him need to know about that, not even Blake even do she already knows about his system.
Ruby just spoke as she looked at as she spoke. "I have no idea"
Blake then spoke getting up. "I know someone who can help".
Few minutes, the group of 5 had went into that of Tukson's Book Trade.
Tukson looked as he was going to speak. "Sorry but we Ar-".
He stopped and looked at Blake as he put his book down. "Will I gess it is about time you came too me".
Oscar looked at Blake as he spoke. "Let me gess, he was part of the white fang".
Blake looked at as she took of her ribbon as she spoke. "Yes, Tukson was a member of the white fang, he just like me is not happy with how the white fang is doing there things".
Tukson then spoke. "So I run this underground rail road, help other people like us leave that White fang, so you are here for the information on Roman Torchwick ".
Blake looked at as she spoke. "Yes".
Tukson then spoke as he pulled out a photo. "Hit name is Roman Torchwick, he is robbing a lot of dust store, he has a side kick, but I don't know much other then that"
Ruby then looked at the Picture as she spoke. "Hey I know him".
Yang looked as she spoke. "Sis what the hell".
Ruby quickly corrected her self. "Not like that, listen I was in store when he robbed ok, so I depends the strone and that is how I meet Ozpin and got into Beacon".
Oscar just looked at as he spoke. "So any information on him".
Tukson looked as he spoke. "Non actually, will not today that is, normal we have The white mask".
Weiss then spoke as she looked at the picture. "This guy has been the news a few times, most do the time it how the white mask broke his operation".
Oscar then looked at as he spoke. "So how can we get information on him".
Tukson looked as he spoke. "He normally goes to Junior Bar, so maybe he can help".
Yang then spoke. "Great, lest go there".
Then then saw Oscar pulled out his Scroll. "No need I can just ask Melanie and Militia about this".
Blake just blinked as he looked at her as she spoke. "Wait how do you have theye contact".
Oscar just looked at her as he spoken. "Remember that part that happened in Junior bar last week".
Weiss blushes reminding that, Yang laughing, Ruby has awakard laughing and Blake looked away, clearly remember how she kissed Oscar when she was drunk, as the four girls said together. "Yeah that, what about it"
Oscar then spoke. "Something happened, and will I ended with there numbers".
Oscar then dield the number, as with that of Melanie and Militia they are in Juniors bar doing there thing, a then Melanie phone rings as she picked up
Militia looked at her sister withe raised eyebrows as she spoke. "Who is calling".
Melanie then shows her the contect that say "Cute Guy", it was the same on both theye phone. "No one, just Oscar"
Militia then jumped her sister. "Give it".
Melanie looked her, keeping her Scroll in her hand. "Nope, he called me".
The two sister was fighting unthle one then hit the call button and speaker.
Melanie then spoke. "Will shit".
Oscar's voice came through the speaker. "Hey, Melanie. Militia. Got a quick question for you both."
Militia, now holding the Scroll, responded. "Oscar, what's up? Are you sure this is the time to be calling us?"
Oscar sighed. "Look, we're looking into Roman Torchwick. We need any information you've got. I remember you two being in the know about stuff happening in the underworld."
Melanie laughed lightly. "You sure you want to get involved in all that? Torchwick's not someone you want to mess with."
Oscar's tone shifted slightly. "Trust me, I can handle it. We just need a lead. We know he hangs around Junior's bar. Anything you can give us?"
There was a brief pause before Militia spoke. "Junior? Yeah, we've seen him there, but he's slippery. You'd be better off trying to figure out what he wants than chasing him around. However, if you really want to know more... there's a guy who might help. He's always at the back table, playing cards with some of the regulars. Name's Carmine. He's been dealing with Torchwick's side projects. He won't just give info to anyone though."
Oscar nodded, taking mental notes. "Thanks. We'll head there soon. Appreciate it."
Ruby, unable to hide her curiosity, leaned over to Oscar. "Wait, so... you're telling me you know those two that well?"
Oscar raised an eyebrow, a faint smirk on his face. "Yeah, let's just say things... happened. We made an impression."
Blake, still a little embarrassed from the earlier memory, cleared her throat. "So, now what? We go to Junior's?"
Oscar glanced at the team. "Yeah, let's head over. Carmine might be the lead we need to finally figure out what Torchwick's up to."
Yang grinned, eager for action. "Time to make some noise."
Weiss, looking a bit more reluctant but accepting the mission, crossed her arms. "Let's just try not to get expelled in the process."
As they made their way out of the bookshop and into the streets of Vale, Oscar felt a sense of anticipation building. This wasn't just about Torchwick anymore. It was about unraveling deeper threads that could have a lasting impact on Beacon and the surrounding cities. And, of course, the involvement of some old allies—Melanie and Militia—was just the beginning of what promised to be a very interesting adventure.
The group of 5 had arrived in that's do Juniors bar, as they went inside, as then both Melanie and Militia waves at Oscar's, as they went to them.
Melanie then spoke, as she looked at Oscar. "You know I was hoping it was only you".
Oscar raised and eyebrows as he spoke. "Ok".
Militia then spoke Looking at him. "Follow me"
The group of 5 was then taken to the back table, as there he was Carmine, he was wearing a blue shirt, styles jeans, he has fair skin, and yellow hair with red eyes, Golden chain as he looked up
Carmine drinked from his drink as he looked at them. "Aren't you a bit too you too be here"
Oscar sent on the chair next to him as he spoke. "We need information, on Roman Torchwick".
Carmine looked at him as he spoke. "You want information on my dealer, that is going to cost you".
Oscar looked at him as he actived [Loki Lie], as he spoke Looking directly at Carmine's eyes. "I can pay what you want, but aren't you sure there is another way".
Crime took another ship as he looked at the cards. "How about a game, which one of you are up".
Oscar then stopped as he thought, he wonder if Loki Lie could help, maybe if he hsi fast he can use shadow arm to cheat, after if he wants only then does arm can be seen.
Weiss then spoke as she looked at him. "I will pay".
Ruby looked at Weiss. "Wait Weiss you know how to pay".
Weiss looked away as she grumbled. "Yes, but please don't ask why".
Carmine just laughed which was full with arrogance which wouldn't be of from a certain golden king as he looked at Weiss. "The princess of Shenhe is going to play cards, how amusing but I am on board".
Weiss sighed but couldn't help a small smirk tugging at the corner of her lips as she sat down opposite Carmine. "Let's get this over with," she said, trying to mask her unease.
Ruby leaned over to Oscar and whispered, "Are you sure about this? Playing cards with him?"
Oscar gave her a reassuring glance, his eyes gleaming with quiet confidence. "We'll be fine. Just keep an eye on him. He's not going to make this easy."
Carmine shuffled the deck with practiced ease, his yellow hair falling messily over his eyes as he dealt the cards. "Alright, princess, hope you're ready to lose."
Weiss glanced at her hand, her brows furrowing slightly as she calculated her next move. "I didn't come here to lose," she replied, her voice steady.
Oscar, standing by and watching closely, silently assessed the situation. This might be harder than I thought, he mused, considering how he could use his abilities without drawing too much attention. The game of cards might seem simple, but he knew there was more at play here.
Blake, sitting at the table, glanced at Oscar with a slightly amused look. "Are you going to sit back and just watch?"
Oscar smiled lightly. "Not quite. I have a few ideas in mind."
As Carmine laid down his first card, the group noticed how casual yet sharp he was, clearly experienced in the game. "You better hope that luck is on your side, princess," he said with a smirk.
Weiss took a breath, analyzing the situation. She wasn't going to let Carmine's taunting throw her off. "We'll see who's lucky by the end of this," she said, her tone full of quiet determination.
Blake leaned forward, her sharp eyes observing every move. "Remember, we just need to get the information. No need to make this about winning the game."
Oscar nodded in agreement. "Exactly. Winning this game won't guarantee we get what we need, but knowing how Carmine operates might."
As the game continued, the stakes seemed to rise with each card dealt. Oscar kept a careful watch, noting every shift in Carmine's demeanor. Carmine, though confident, was trying to hide his growing tension beneath his calm exterior.
Finally, after a few rounds, Carmine leaned back in his chair, eyes narrowing at Weiss. "You know, I didn't think a princess would be this good at cards. Maybe there's more to you than I thought."
Weiss raised an eyebrow. "You have no idea."
Oscar's mind raced. He could tell that the game was becoming more than just about the cards. Carmine was testing them, looking for weaknesses, a strategy he couldn't let slip.
"Tell you what," Carmine said after a tense silence, his gaze flicking between Weiss and Oscar. "I'll give you the information you want. But first, I want to know—what exactly are you all planning to do with it? Are you really after Torchwick, or are you just some fancy punks playing hero?"
Oscar leaned forward slightly, his voice lowering to a calm, collected tone. "Does it matter? All you need to know is we're going to end his operations. Whatever it takes."
Carmine studied him for a moment, before smirking. "Alright, I can work with that. You might have more guts than I thought. But don't get too cocky—you still haven't won the game."
Weiss remained silent, her eyes scanning the table as the game continued. There was a tension in the air, thick with both competition and an unspoken understanding. Oscar was beginning to feel like the game itself had become a negotiation.
Just as Carmine dealt the final hand, he leaned in closer and whispered, "Roman Torchwick. He's got a meeting planned tomorrow night, in a warehouse outside of Vale. It's a big operation, something he's been preparing for a while. But you didn't hear that from me."
Weiss smirked, placing down her final card. "And I'm guessing that's all we're going to get from you, huh?"
Carmine chuckled, standing up and stretching. "That's the deal, princess. You wanted information—you got it. Now, if you plan on taking down Torchwick, I'd suggest you be careful. He's got connections all over."
Oscar gave a nod of appreciation, sliding a small stack of Lien across the table. "You've done well, Carmine. And don't worry—we'll handle Torchwick."
As the team prepared to leave, Ruby glanced back at Carmine. "Thanks for the info."
"Yeah, yeah," he replied with a shrug. "Just make sure you all survive long enough to use it."
As the door closed behind them, the group exchanged knowing looks. They had the lead they needed, but it was clear that the danger was only just beginning.
