The king and Benjamin were in the king's study. Benjamin noticed how the king's mood had changed from an angry mood to a blissful one. "My lord...You healed her right?" Benjamin had suspicions but he just wanted Sebastian to admit it. He didn't know what transpired earlier but from the way Sebastian had been acting, it seemed like he had a hand in it. Sebastian only grinned at Benjamin's question, confirming it.
"The human girl is so innocent...." Sebastian said as his mind trailed back to Mirabelle's gentle and beautiful features, innocency was written all over her. "I wanted to have a little fun, her mother certainly made me laugh. But my hunt was ruined" he concluded.
"Should I bring a deer?' Benjamin asked knowing the king would have to quench his bloodthirst. "No. The girl has put me in the mood, I don't want animal blood" Sebastian said as he closed his eyes while locking his fingers. "Ok sire" Benjamin said and bowed down before leaving. Benjamin went to a human maid and told her the king wanted her to come to the study. Since the order wasn't really direct on what she was going to do in the study, she assumed the king wanted to drink from her. This wasn't the first time it had happened, some of the human maids in the palace were well aware that their king was part vampire. A night creature, but no one dared speak ill about it or tell it to outsiders.
She braced herself inwardly because she knew the experience wasn't a pleasant one. Like times before, when the king called on her, she sliced her palm with a knife and placed the blood in a glass and she watched as the king gulped her blood down with satisfaction written all over his face and a wicked smile playing on his lips. Getting to the study, they knocked twice and got in. Sebastian was still sitting with his eyes closed as he was still thinking about Mirabelle. He remembered how she threw the stone right on his forehead. Funny enough, he caused it. He stood right in her front and allowed himself to be hit. He could easily dodge it and use the fact that she was blind to his advantage but he didn't do that. The girl was blind so she would have not been able to hit him rightly but he stood right in front of her, resulting to him being hit.
At the smell of a human in his presence, Sebastian opened his eyes "You already know what to do. I don't have to keep saying it do I?" He said as he stood up from the chair and walked gracefully towards where the human maid and Benjamin were standing. The maid, shakily turned to the table like other times and saw a small knife and two glasses resting on the table. Even in a million years, she doubted she'd be used to cutting her flesh and watching someone gulp her blood right in front of her. It brought chills. The king was few steps away from her and his eyes had suddenly turned dark from it's usual silver color. Now, it was looking darker in shade. She bit her lip and took the knife cutting her palm open and allowing the blood to flow. The blood wasn't coming out fast and Sebastian was starting to get pissed because this maid wasn't really what he wanted but he had to alternate because what he really wanted was in the village, Cornswell. "Cut somewhere else" he ordered and the maid with tears dropping down from her eyes, decided to cut her wrist. She was overwhelmed with nervousness and fear and accidentally cut a vein on her wrist. The blood began gushing out pleasing Sebastian.
She placed her hand over one of the glasses and when it had almost gotten to the middle of the glass, she moved her hand to the next glass and put the same amount. But even after she had put her blood in the glasses, her wrist was still bleeding profusely. She was trembling as she tore a piece of her clothe and tied her wrist with it but the piece of clothe ended up soaking up the blood and didn't slow down the blood flow. Sebastian sighed and walked up to her, he aggressively pulled the piece of clothe from her wrist and placed his hand over the injury and immediately it stopped bleeding and the cut covered up. Benjamin was surprised that he healed the maid, usually since they were humans, he let them die out of blood loss or he asked a physician to treat them. "Thank you milord" the maid bowed in amazement after realizing her wound was gone. Sebastian released a little smile but it wasn't a genuine one. "You can go" Benjamin said and the maid gave a bow to both of the men before leaving. Sebastian noticed the quizzical look on Benjamin's face and said "She'd be needed another day". Benjamin then concluded in his heart that he wouldn't question the king's decision anymore because obviously, the man thought about things before he did them. Even when he mentioned he healed Mirabelle for fun, Benjamin knew that was still part of a plan but Sebastian didn't admit it.
