Chapter 30. Friendship of Happiness
Alex and Daisy were passing by and saw what had happened. Swiftly, Alex arrived at Ava's side. The girl was lying motionless on the floor. "Ava?", Alex called.
"Ava wake up", Daisy cried when she reached. "Alex, I think she passed out", Daisy said.
The students around the area were already gathering to watch the scene. It was quite dramatic. Kyle glared at what was going on. This fueled his hatred for him. Kaitlyn was already done with the call and came back to join him but met this scene.
"Kyle", she called
"Let's go Kaitlyn, I'm not hungry", he said.
"Why? It's not your fault", Kaitlyn assured.
"Let's just go", he said and turned to leave.
"Kyle Compton!", a deep menacing voice called out to him halting him in his steps.
He turned around to face the caller. It was Alex. He was holding Ava in his arms. "You just pray that nothing happens to her. If anything happens, you'll know", that said, he turned and left.
Kyle glared at their departing backs. He ignored Kaitlyn who still had her eyes on the food and left. Kaitlyn smiled within at what had happened. Things were moving in her favor without her planning it.
At the infirmary.
The doctor administered some medications to Ava and allowed her to sleep.
"Doc, will Ava be fine", Daisy asked tearfully.
"Don't worry dear, your friend will be fine. It's just a minor fall", the doctor assured.
The doctor said few more things before he left.
"Alex", Daisy called as tears fell from her eyes. Alex looked at her.
"Don't cry Daisy".
"Ava's a really good person. Kyle as well. Their friendship is one of happiness. Why would all these things happen to them?"
Alex didn't say anything.
"Also, if he gets his memories and finds out that he hurt Ava, he won't be happy with himself. All these started since this Kaitlyn arrived here", Daisy cried.
Alex furrowed his brows. "That's quite true".
"She became friends with them. I know this might sound absurd but what if she's the one that plotted the accident?", Daisy opined
Alex looked at her. "Daisy, watch what you say", he warned.
"Don't blame me. I'm just speculating. Can't you see how everything is going?"
"You should keep calm Daisy. Don't mention this outside".
"I know".
Alex went over and hugged her consolingly. "Don't worry, it's gonna be fine".
