"Who are you?" Rei asked meanwhile the brunette who had just calmed his heart after unexpectedly seeing a blue haired guy who was in his secret place, standing like a dummy.
"I should be asking you that, who are you?" The brunette asked and Rei replied, "A new worker here" A deafening silence ensued as the two men stood staring each other up and down before Rei finally decided to just end the unwarranted tension by answering.
"My name's Rei Dedante and I am the supposed new PA of the supposed owner of this place" He elaborated by widening his arm in the air and then looked at the brunette who then looked enlightened. "Ahhh, that crazy mf with the blue...I'm sorry.." The brunette quickly corrected his words but all Rei did was stare with a deadpan expression.
"It's your turn to introduce yourself you know" Rei reminded and the man replied, "Alan Silver, working in the design department" Rei responded, "Nice to meet you, Alan" After acknowledging that fact, they both stood in silence again before Alan reminded, "Shouldn't you be in the boss's office though?" Rei huffed and clicked his tongue "I don't want to though, if I go there he'll just end up sending me on more errands"
"But being sent on a lot of errands is a good thing here..."
Rei asked, "How so?"
"Here, being sent on errands can lead to your salary bonus. It is not about 'I'm in this position so my salary is higher, hehe' it's about 'If I work very hard, all my efforts will be rewarded dutifully', so yeah I think you get the point" Alan explained. Rei looked at him with a weird face, "Huh? How is he going to judge correctly when he's locked up in his office all day? What about false claims? Am I the only one thinking about fakers?"
"Mr. Baynette's got eyes all around the company. His men are in every department and they are absolutely unbribeable so judgement is judgement" Alan said exasperatedly, " Hey, I've talked too much because of you now. I wanted to come and hide from work for a while but I ended up wasting my breathe. I'd better go back to work now"
Rei said, "Sorry, but thanks for explaining. It was nice meeting you Alan" "Yeah, thanks, bye"
And he left Rei in the storage room. Rei gathered some energy and went back to the 27th floor to answer to Kyle.
"You sure took your sweet time in the storage, huh?" Kyle said once Rei stepped into his office with a pointed stare. Rei rolled his eyes mentally and said outwardly, "There was a little hold up in the process of my return"
Kyle had one brow furrowed as he looked at the stiff-looking guy standing in front of his table. "You can go home now"
"Eh?" Rei stuttered and had a double take. "What? You don't want to go? You want to stay here?" Kyle asked with a sinister smirk. "Ah, no! No, thanks, I'll pack my stuff"
The stuff mentioned was just his big manual on what to do and a few miscellaneous items he was asked to go through.
Once he had hung his bag on his waist, he glanced over to the oakwood table which had a large stack of papers left on it. He frowned, "I'm your personal assistant, right?" Kyle looked up from his work at the sound of his voice, "Why won't you let me help you with your work when you obviously have a lot to do" Rei commented, emphasizing on the 'your' part of his words.
Kyle retorted tiredly, "Cause I don't trust you yet to handle important things"
Rei huffed, "Then aren't you going home? you were here earlier than me but I'm going before you, doesn't this leave a bad impression of me?" Kyle deadpanned, "You don't need to worry about leaving any sort of impression anymore, it's already spoilt to the extreme". Rei rolled his eyes and he made his way out of the office.
