Rei parked the car in a large compound which hosted a luxurious thee story villa with a penthouse on top, lush garden and a beautiful mini fountain. Every inch of the villa screamed 'rich guy' which caused goosebumps to appear along the arms of Rei.
Kyle said nothing and went to unlock the door, unceremoniously entering the sitting room and crashing on a sea green colored couch that was angled opposite the entrance. Rei followed suite and closed the door behind him. As a force of habit, he left his shoes by the door and walked in with his feet covered only with his socks (there were no slippers at the door).
The place was spick and span and Rei thought refreshingly that he could live with this. He heard a muffled sound and looked towards the couch saying, "Eh?"
Kyle raised his face from the couch and rested the side of his face on the couch instead, "I'm hungry"
With the expression and tone of Kyle, Rei suddenly felt as though he was an inconsiderate person who was purposely starving a tired poor boy who just finished working day till night. Quite a narrative but Rei was a novel obsessed young man; the way he perceived it was the way his brain interpreted it to make sense to him, which rather doesn't really make much sense.
He shook his head and stretched before walking over to what he assumed was the kitchen—it was the kitchen—and looked through the cabinets. He made something light and doable at that moment and brought it to, what he supposed was, the dining room. "Hey, I'm done, you can come eat" was all he said to Kyle before Kyle rushed—albeit cooly—to the dining room with—imaginary—drool rolling from the corners of his mouth. He sat and hurriedly took a bite before looking at Rei who wandered a bit, admiring the interior decoration of the house.
"You're not joining me?"
Rei looked at him then shook his head with a small smile, "I'll still go to where I'm living anyway, I can just eat along the way"
Kyle frowned
"I will still need to arrange some stuff and inform the person I'm living with before coming over here....maybe it'll take two weeks"
Of course, it wouldn't take two weeks, Rei just wasn't in a hurry to live with this insufferable bossy—he is a boss—man. He hadn't forgotten how his first week mainly consisted ups and downs of elevators that low-key made him scorn entering one again. Right now, he was just being manageable but soon, he'll become a pain, after all, the emotions of all these male leads are so erratic. Plus, he didn't think that the story had started yet, after all, he hadn't seen any women hovering around him or coming to stop-by and say 'hello'
Even the female childhood 'friend' of Kyle wasn't here yet. Surely the story hadn't started....right?
Surprisingly, Kyle bought his sorry excuse by nodding his head. When he did so, his hair that was swept back up to reveal his forehead came down, hovering over his eyes. Rei was temporarily stunned, such a handsome man Kyle was!
Now Rei had never engaged himself in relationships so he wasn't really sure what kind of sexuality he fell under, there were many of them—homosexuality, bisexuality, heterosexuality, asexuality and whatever whatever. His life was spent worrying about fees and bills and food and little moments of fun money spending.
Rei shook his head, forcing his eyes off Kyle and clearing his throat. "Should I help you get upstairs or you can go alone? I want to go" he asked to which Kyle responded by nodding his head and waving his hand back and forth signalling him to go.
Rei bowed curtly and turned, he heard a voice and stretched his body so he could see the dining room again, "There's a spare key in the second box of the drawer next to the lamp there" Kyle pointed lazily and Rei nodded. He went and picked it and said loud enough for Kyle to hear, "Got it!"
He went to the door, put his shoes on and left after locking the door.

Rei was back at home and was thinking about the book. In the book, Kyle has a childhood 'friend' and she went abroad when they were in middle school. Kyle became a successful businessman in no time after graduating form uni and roughly about three years after, his childhood friend came back to visit her sick grandfather and in the process, started getting closer to Kyle by visiting his office to say 'hi', eat lunch together, take Kyle to go see her grandpa and so on.
Shit went down later on after Kyle started being an open romantic to his new love, his personal assistant. There was major green tea bitch behavior and of course cliche mafia relations and kidnappings and sappy long paragraphs of proclaimed love and affection.
Thinking back on Kyle's behavior in the book, Rei realized that Kyle was nothing near the descriptions elaborated on in the book... or maybe it's because his female personal assistant isn't here to invoke that side of him.
Rei gasped.
Kyle's sappy behavior wasn't going to happen because he—Rei—got the job instead of the beautiful hour-glass figured assistant!
He sat on his bed staring at the cup of hot chocolate he made for himself once he passed through the door and freshened up. If the assistant isn't here then the childhood 'friend' will get Kyle (maybe, one way or the other) and there won't be any kidnapping or potential bankruptcy.....which should be a good thing, right?
He scratched his head and tousled his hair for a few moments. Thinking about the effects of his sudden appearance in this place gave him a massive headache, he didn't know whether things were changing for the worse or for the better because in the end of the book, after all the kidnappings and bitch fights, they still got happily married like any other sweet ending of cliche romance novels.
He drank again from the cup, it was almost finished so he set it down on the bedside stand and proceeded to roll around on the big bed while ruffling his hair repeatedly until it was a complete birdsnest.
He thought, maybe he shouldn't be so worried about it. It'd all eventually work out anyway. It always works out in fiction, one way or the other—what he didn't know was that it wasn't something as simple as 'fiction' what had hit him. No, it was far worse and twisted than that, but, he didn't know and that was all that mattered.
