"What do you want?"
Fischer was silent for two seconds, giving off a leisurely kind of lazy vibe. "I want to swing"
Foxx looked at him with an eyebrow raised "Why not just go to your fancy mansion and have some random butler or something install one for you?"
Fischer chuckled and replied, "Because I don't have any fancy handyman butler"
"Ok, well, why not just sit on the swing..... right next to this one I'm sitting on?" Foxx still questioned.
"Because it's this particular one I want to sit on..........Does that make sense?"
"Not really but meh" Foxx shrugged with a small smile on his face. He knew he was just looking for something to start up a conversation with. It was only his second time talking to the golden boy but he always felt calm headed when he did. Fischer helped take his mind off the disappearance and had him feeling like everything was alright-which was just what he wanted.
"Why are you zoning out again?" Fischer asked softly. He had sat himself on the other swing and matched the slow pace Foxx had set.
"Just random thinking" he tried to brush it off, he really didn't want to elaborate his enigma at that moment even though he knew Fischer was already aware. The news spread across the whole neighborhood and nearby-The sudden disappearance of the Dedante's second child and the franticity of the parents about this particular issue-but Fischer didn't say anything about it, choosing to talk to him with hidden meanings behind each and every sentence. Treading carefully to see how he can then subtly comfort him.
The thing is Fischer knew that it wasn't always nice to be the center of attention, especially when the attention was only based on sympathy and pity-he has been there before.
He had stumbled upon the brooding Foxx on a hot Saturday evening two weeks after the disappearance. He wanted to just walk past considering how he acted cold and distant to everybody he didn't know but he could see the tears clouding the eyes of the raven haired, threatening to fall and make the eyes puffier and face redder.
It disturbed him greatly and he decided to quietly sit next to him and say awkwardly say hello-his socialization skills were a bit rough.
Foxx held back his tears with all his might as he replied solemnly and Fischer calmly introduced himself and with no other topic of possible discussion, started to talk about school.
It was pleasant that evening for Foxx and he left for home that day not too dreadful. It seems it will be the same for today.

Rei sighed and looked at Kyle. It was actually more of a glare though. "It's 10 pm Kyle....sir"
Kyle smirked a little-he was reading something on his phone and it seemed he was joyed by reading it, whatever it was.
"Sure, you're free to leave"
Rei then started to make his way to the door when he heard again, "When will you come to settle in?" he turned to look back a bit surprised then instantly remembered his agreement to start living with Kyle. He hadn't even told Vani yet and it has already been a week.
"Well, I'll see to it this weekend" he responded smoothly and Kyle hummed an "Okay"
Rei sighed and looked at Kyle. It was actually more of a glare though. "It's 10 pm Kyle....sir"
Kyle smirked a little-he was reading something on his phone and it seemed he was joyed by reading it, whatever it was.

"Well, I'll see to it this weekend" he responded smoothly and Kyle hummed an "Okay" he walked out quickly and greeted the janitor who always seemed to lifelessly clean at the latest hours of the night-it low-key freaked him out how the company was super big yet every single time he retired for the day the janitor was always standing in the hallway he was walking through.
Upon getting home after a brisk energetic walk-he decided to lay off cabs for awhile after finding a used and not even hidden condom in one-he immediately went to vani's room and knocked on the door thrice before opening it.
Vani looked up from the phone in his hands and his eyes warmed as his lips curved upwards "What's up?" he cleared his throat right after because his voice sounded very raspy and deep. Rei guessed he recently woke up as his hair was also quite messy. He sat on the edge of the bed and told Vani about Kyle's offer to which he only got an eyebrow raise.
"There was no such thing like that when you signed up for the job though" he said, voice still raspy and deep. Rei shrugged, he hadn't been here when the blueberry signed up for the job "Maybe, the blueberry read over some terms and conditions- I know I would cause I do that a lot"
Vani sighed and facepalmed himself. He didn't want Rei to leave his sight not after all the risks.....what if he got them back and ran away from him?...
"Well, okay, it's okay if that's what you want" he forced a smile "It'll be like some sort of fun trip since you can snoop around official confidential shit and try not to get caught"
Rei laughed and smacked him on the arm, "Why would I do that?! I wouldn't even try, Kyle is low-key too scary" the corner of his lips were raised in a sneer as he leaned closer and whispered as though he was sharing a secret with people around. Vani smiled genuinely at him, "C'mon, I'll help you pack, when will you leave?" he asked getting off the bed and urging Rei to do same.
"This weekend, I may have forgotten about it and am only mentioning it now" Rei said as he headed to his own room, his back turned towards Vani and conveniently missing anxiety and unease stamp themselves on vani's forehead and take over his expression.

Thinking back on it, isn't Kai a better name for the male lead? Idk I just thought about it suddenly and it sounds so much better.
I'm writing mid terms :) pray for me to pass cause im not ready to hear speech about how I dropped or whatever.
Edit : I didn't write midterms cus I spent the exam days in the hospital >:(

I know y'all must be angry but please forgive me. I didn't really know how to make this extreme yet subtle so we have this (sorry)
I can't promise regular updates anymore cause senior secondary is really kicking my shin rn, I'm so sorry it didn't last long but school is overstressing me with load (they want us to be 'busy' 🙄)
I'll try to make the plot start seriously from now on
