Third person POV
Then, as Russell daydreams while gazing, a young girl with dark brown, long hair and dark green eyes, approaches him and greeted, "Hi there." Hearing that, Russell snapped out of his daydreaming and gazing and looked at her. "Yes?" The girl, Azalea Barwon, was a bit shy of him. "Hello there, who are you?" Russell then sat straight and responded back, "Oh, I'm Russell May. Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you, too. Are you wearing those clothes just because of the cold here?"
"Yes, sort of…" Russell bit his lip a bit.
"Oh, okay, my name is Azalea Barwon."
"Wow, nice name you have."
Azalea was flustered by his compliment.
"No, really," Russell happily insisted.
"O…Okay then…" Azalea responded back slowly.
A bit later, both of them are now having a walk in the village square. "So, what's your business here?" Azalea asked him." "Oh, um," Russell replied back, "I'm here because I heard that there were some recent bandit attacks in this village."
"Really?"
"Yes, some of my clients told me about that."
"Your clients?" Azalea raised her eyebrow for a few seconds. "What do you mean by that?"
And then, Russell finally decided to explain to her about his profession and occupation as a bus driver.
A few minutes later, Azalea was a bit stunned to hear such a new word and concept and understood that. "Oh, that sounds cool…"
"Yes, and I am very good at driving it," Russell happily replied back.
"Wow, you are good at it, right?"
"Yes, I am."
They both stopped walking and as proof, Russell pulled out his license and showed it to her. "Look at this one."
Upon seeing that, Azalea was amazed to see a high rank. "Wow, that was amazing."
With that, the young bus driver puts his license down and puts it back into his suit pocket with good pride.
"Also, I was wondering…" Azalea responded.
"What is it?" Russell asked back.
"With that license, are you a part of a guild of something?"
To that Russell began to think how to answer it.
He was not a part of any guild currently and is now debating whether he should join one or not.
After much debate, he said to her, "No, I am not."
Azalea was surprised to hear that. "What?"
"Well, I don't want to be a part of a guild," replied Russell back.
"Why?"
"I don't want to be burdened by obligations you know."
Azalea gets it. "Okay, well, I am a registered adventurer in my case."
"Woah? Really?"
"Yes, I am."
"Okay then…"
A bit later, Azalea took him to a field outside of the village that was surrounded by pine trees. The reason behind it is so she could show her magic to him. "Um, why are we here again?" Russell looked around.
"I'll show you my magic," replied Azalea back, before putting her basket of bread and fruits down on the ground nearby so she could do so.
"Okay then," Russell said, putting his knapsack and book down and standing in anticipation of Azalea's demonstration of her magic to him.
So, Azalea stood in the middle of the open field and took a deep breath, before closing her eyes and pointing the palm of her hand towards some trees. Then, she uttered, "Ice Blizzard." And then, a blizzard appeared around them, causing Russell to hold his arms with his hands because it was too cold for his clothes to handle.
"So cold…" he shivers.
Back at Azalea, ice shards appeared around her, and she moved her hand to the right towards some pine trees.
"Ice shards," she uttered once more.
Then, the ice shards went to those pine trees at high speeds, destroying the logs of them.
The number of pine trees destroyed by her is 3.
"What the…?" Russell was shocked to see that as he held against the cold blizzard and blizzard winds.
"That's her magic?!" his mind asked in shock.
After a bit, the blizzard was gone, and everything went back to normal, ending the demonstration by Azalea, the wind magic user of Snowyfield Village. And then, Azalea opened her eyes and looked at him. "How was it?" she asked him happily. Her shift in attitude really stuns Russell a lot. "What in the…" his mind said.
So, he snapped out and responded, "That was so cool."
"Thanks," Azalea happily replied back.
Then, she picked up her basket, which was luckily unaffected by the colds of the blizzard, and asked him if he have any magic of his own other than his technical skills as a bus driver. To that, Russell began to think about that. He felt he didn't have any magic, but in reality, he had two of them. The problem is that he hasn't discovered it yet. So, he just said, "I don't have any magic."
Azalea was a bit surprised to hear that. "What? How come?"
Russell then shrugged. "I don't know."
But Azalea understands, saying, "It's okay, you'll discover yours someday."
Russell nodded in agreement but wasn't sure if he could discover it or not.
He then grabbed his knapsack and book, and he and Azalea returned to the village after that. He was amazed by her ability and had some admiration of her.
