Third person POV
The next morning, Russell was eating breakfast with Azalea and her family. The morning was nice in a snowy location, and the village was in peace at this hour. "Thanks for the meal," Russell said to them as he ate a lot. "This is so delicious."
"You're welcome, dear," Azalea's mother softly replied back. "Eat as much as you want."
As Russell eats, Azalea asks him what he wants to do in his stay in the village."
"Let's see…" responded Russell back as he stopped eating and began to think, "…I want to go hiking."
"Wow, that's a good activity," Azalea's father brightly said. "You can do that in the surrounding mountains."
"But be careful doing that," Azalea's grandmother said to Russell. "You might get injured."
"I'll be careful, ma'am," Russell responded as he finished his meal.
"I'll guide you as well!" Azalea offered.
"Okay, thanks."
After breakfast, he went to his room to change his clothes. He wore his bus driver's uniform to combat the coldness of the snow, but he didn't include his necktie because he thought it would be a hazard while hiking. Instead, he left it behind. So, he grabbed his knapsack and book and went outside, where Azalea was waiting for him.
"I'm here!" Russell said to him while being energetic.
"Great! Let's go," Azalea happily responded back.
And so, both of them headed to the mountains north of the village.
Along the way, they saw that the village was lively and busy with activity.
Russell was impressed that it was busy, even for a remote village like it.
Then, they arrived at the foot of one of the surrounding mountains. "This will be easy," Azalea said to him. "The slopes are not that bad or steep."
"Yeah, you're right." Russell nodded in agreement.
Azalea then looked at him. "Are you ready?"
"Yes!"
And so, both of them started climbing the mountain. Their goal is to get to the top, which was 21 feet from their stop. The climbing was not that hard since the angle of the slopes is gradual and easy to do so. Russell enjoyed this new, little hobby of his.
"Climbing mountains is one of my favorite hobbies, you know," Azalea said to him as she climbed with him, "alongside potion making, cooking, and sewing."
"Wow, that's amazing," replied Russell in amazement. "I didn't know you had those things under your belt."
"Thanks."
Then, at 9:12 a.m., they managed to arrive at the top of the mountain. "Finally!" Russell stopped to take a break. "That was good." Azalea did the same thing. "This is one of the best spots to get a beautiful view of the kingdom."
With that, Russell looked at the horizons laid before him.
The view was, indeed, beautiful and breathtaking.
"So beautiful!" Russell was amazed with enthusiasm.
He then looked at Azalea. "Thanks a lot!"
"You're welcome." Azalea smiled in response, before sitting down.
Russell then placed his knapsack and book down on the snowy ground and sat next to Azalea.
Both of them are now enjoying the time of their lives.
Russell then thought, "My life in this world is so good!"
Then, he grabbed his book and opened it, before getting the folded World Map so he could take a look on the other places of the kingdom. Azalea then took a peek of it, curious about what he was doing. "Wow, we were up north of the Southern Plains." Russell pointed at Snowyfield Village's location on the map, "deep into the Quesa Mountain Range next to the border with another country known as the Zale Valleys."
"Oh, that?" Azalea said to him. "That one is an interesting kingdom, too."
Russell then lifted his finger from the map. "Really?"
"Yes, their geography is always comprised of valleys, which were beautiful and full of fertile lands."
"Wow, that must've been an agricultural country, right?"
"Yup, it was."
"Okay then."
Russell then showed his license's level and rank to Azalea, who was then surprised to see that her friend had leveled up a lot with a good rank. "Wow, you progressed a lot…"
"Yeah, in just a short time…" Russell replied back, before hiding the fact that he was reincarnated into this world.
Azalea showed her stats in response, showing that she was currently at Level 7.
Russell was surprised. "Wow, nice! So we're in the stage now."
(That means that both of them are in the hypothetically and imaginary first stage of levels, which were from Level 1 to Level 10.)
"Yeah, we are, sort of…" Azalea was flustered by his compliment.
She then turned off her stats screen.
While Russell and Azalea are enjoying their time at that mountaintop, back at the village, 3 royal spies are now gathering information about Russell and his bus from the villagers.
