Chapter 5 - Ten Dimensions

Swallowing his saliva after hearing The Honored One's words, Alistar stared at the ground beneath him before looking up and saying. "I'll tell you all I know."

He stared at The Honored One for some time before saying. "I remember that it was immediately after my death that I met myself in your Universe."

"How long it took, I don't know but before I came here, I had been killed by my boss," Alistar said, having painful memories that he had desperately tried to suppress flashing before his eyes.

"I was coming home from work that day during a heavy downpour, my clothes were drenched but I was happy cause I had received my paycheck. Not only that, I had gotten the raise that I had always wanted."

The more he talked, the redder Alistar's eyes became. It felt like a lump was stuck in Alistar's throat the more he talked about his past life.

A mixture of anger, hate, and pain welled up within Alistar when he remembered those memories. As for sadness? That emotion was non-existent as right now he felt immense hatred for no one other than his wife.

Clenching his fists, Alistar said. "When I reached my house, I expected my wife would be in there waiting for me."

"But... she wasn't so I went to take off my soaked cloth and came to the living room. Sitting on the couch, I saw a file on the table, and after opening it..." Alistar gritted his teeth after remembering what was in the file. His heart burned with intense hatred when he remembered the things he saw in it.

With his body trembling in anger and eyes reddening in rage, Alistar said. "I saw my wife's pictures in that file and worst of all, she was naked in all of them."

His face was ice cold as he said. "She had taken those pictures while getting f*cked by other men. There were all sorts of photos, somewhere she had her face covered in cum, others where she was getting double penetrated by my coworkers, and a few showed her having orgies."

Clenching his fists till his knuckles became white, Alistar said while radiating killing intent from every fiber of his being. "But worst of all, she did it with my boss and wrote a note that said 'She had finally found someone better'."

"I refused to believe it even though proof was before me, I thought they had forced her to do those things, I had ignored the lusty expression that was clearly visible on her face. And like a fool, I ran." Alistar chuckled mockingly as his reddened eyes gleamed with murder.

He had a mocking smile spread across his lips when he said. "I foolishly ran through the rain. Getting myself drenched again with only thoughts of my slutty wife filling my mind."

"When I got to my workplace, I ignored the mocking jeers the security men were throwing at me and straightaway ran to my Boss's office. And upon entering it, I saw my wife in my boss's arms."

'I asked for what you plan to do in my Universe not your life story. The f*ck.' The Honored One thought, looking at Alistar with a bored expression that couldn't be shown on his apparition-like face.

Emotions were something he barely interacted with and no matter how sad Alistar's story was, The Honored One still found it as boring.

Ignorant about the Honored One's thoughts, Alistar said. "I remember her eyes being clouded in disgust when she saw me, her cruel words when she looked at me akin to a piece of shit."

"I even went as far as to kowtow before her and beg with my forehead kissing the cold ground. I was just a humble man trying to get his wife back. I lived-" Forcefully stopping himself from saying the things he wanted to, Alistar looked at The Honored One with eyes that screamed murder.

His hatred was directed at no one other than his wife. The one who had made him miserable, the person who had made him die a miserable death. That was the person who his hate was directed at.

"If it is possible, I want to return to the Universe I came from. I still need to kill her for what she did to me." Alistar said with narrowed eyes before adding. "As for your Universe, I'll try my best not to temper with its rules. But I'll be here for now since I need to grow stronger."

"Honestly, you almost bored me to death with your story." The Honored One replied bluntly, showing his displeasure in Alistar using his question as a means to let go of some of his pent-up emotions.

"Never do that again. If I had wanted to know about your life I could've asked you directly." The Honored One continued in a blunt tone that had zero traces of sympathy.

Standing up from his throne, The Honored One turned his back towards Alistar as his body began to slowly deconstruct.

"Thank you for your time, Elder," Alistar said after seeing The Honored One's figure slowly fade.

He wasn't pissed by The Honored One's words but grateful that someone of his caliber had spared some of his time to listen to the woes of a mere human. Heck, he had even bowed till his body was parallel to the ground.

"I left a little something for you. Don't use it- Never mind you can use it if you feel like it." The Honored One's voice echoed through Alistar's consciousness.

Unable to catch the slight trace of excitement in The Honored One's voice, Alistar said. "Thanks, Elder."

Before Alistar's words could travel through his consciousness, his vision darkened as the feeling of being drowned overwhelmed every fiber of his being.

"Huff..." Gasping for air after regaining consciousness, Alistar could be seen with a sweat-drenched and pale body.

The sheets underneath him were soaked in sweat like a bucket of water had been poured on it —showing how intense his talk with The Honored One had been.

"I'm alright no need to worry about me," Alistar said with a small smile that had replaced the coldness he had in when he was in his Sea of consciousness.

"Are you sure you're fine Alistar?" A lady draped in a sister's robe asked. She had her green eyes in the open with a sublime figure that could tempt even a monk.

Right now, they were akin to two different people one was a wannabe murderer while the other was your friendly neighborhood big brother. Two contrasting personalities that Alistar had managed to unite within him.

Worry was evident in her tone and gaze as she stared at Alistar's body. It was normal for her to be worried as Alistar had been unconscious for six hours straight!

"Seriously I'm fine," Alistar said, trying his best to get up from his bed.

After countlessly reassuring her that he was fine, Alistar was finally able to make her leave his room.

Hearing his door getting shut, Alistar immediately dove into his mind to check what The Honored One had given him.

Not taking him even up to a minute to find what he was looking for, Alistar's eyes were sprung wide open after reading the description of what he had received.
