Getting his emotions back in order after a full minute of surprise, Alistar nodded his head and muttered. "It's a really nice Technique."
He had received a Technique from The Honored One and it was not just any Technique but something that surpassed it by miles.
It was a Technique created by The Honored One when he was free and as a result of boredom. Just the fact that it was created by The Honored One —a being who knows everything about his Universe— had already made it exceed those found in Ruins by a huge margin.
"I doubt this Technique can be graded," Alistar muttered after remembering the grading system for Techniques.
They were Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary.
Techniques of Common and Uncommon grades were usually created by Races who have a low understanding of the Universe's Laws for example Humans.
Rare and Epic grades can be created by Races with a higher understanding of Laws but they get auctioned at insane prices and that's within the upper echelon of the Universe. There were also times that they may be found in mid-tier Ruins.
As for Legendary, no one in the current era could create them —The Honored One excluded— so they could only be found in high-tiered Ruins and that is if the person is lucky.
'I guess I'll go with Divine grade then.' Alistar thought with a smile on his face after thoughts of being the first Human to possess a Divine grade Technique crossed his mind. Scratch that, he might be the first mortal to possess one in this era.
If word of it gets out, one could only imagine the trouble that would befall Alistar. A mere Human possessing what even Dragons fantasized about. Heck, even some hidden superpowers that could easily kill Dragons would be moved to get him.
"It's not like they can find out if there isn't a word about it," Alistar said with a grin on his face while standing up from where he was seated.
Uncomfortable after getting a whiff of the horrible stench that radiated off of him, Alistar shoved all pointless thoughts to the back of his mind as he made his way toward the bathroom.
For him not to notice it till now only meant that the shock and happiness he was feeling about getting a Divine grade Technique had blocked him off from his surroundings.
And it would happen to anyone since in this Universe, the failure of a Race's member could spell extinction for the entire Race that's why having strength was a must and it was also the reason why some choose a solitary path –cutting all connection to their Race or Planet.
Unceremoniously stripping himself butt naked after stepping into the bathroom, Alistar was left slightly surprised after seeing his reflection.
His black hair had been left untouched just looking a bit messy, his amber-colored eyes seemed to become clearer and now literally glowed akin to gems, but the biggest change was on his body.
He formerly had a body that was rather on the lean side but a far cry from being called skinny. Currently, his muscles seemed to have gotten a little bit bigger and his skin smoother.
A change that would go unnoticed by everyone except the owner of that body. These were some of the changes that began manifesting when someone was chosen to awaken.
Not spending even a second longer to look at his reflection, the shock that was on Alistar's face had vanished into thin air as he walked underneath the shower.
He wasn't the type that enjoyed staring at mirrors for too long as he thought of them as weird things but all in all, he had spent three seconds staring at his reflection. A time that could be deemed as the shortest when someone was looking at their reflection.
Turning the shower on, Alistar let out a relieved breath after feeling the cold water slowly cascade down his body.
He soon took a bar of soap and began bathing, scrubbing every inch of his body to get rid of the smell on him.
****
About twenty minutes later, Alistar walked out of the bathroom with a content smile on his face.
Drying himself up immediately, Alistar chose a red t-shirt and black shorts to wear from the few clothes that were in his wardrobe.
Done with getting dressed, Alistar walked out of his room and towards the living room to get some food in his belly since he had skipped lunch and wouldn't be able to sleep if he skipped dinner.
It took him about a minute to reach the living room where he saw Theo, Hazel, and Sister Lilith seated near each other.
All had delighted looks on their faces but none of them could be compared to the excitement that was visible on Theo's face. He looked like an Earthling child who had finally gotten the PS5 he always wanted.
Taking a seat not too far away, Alistar kept quiet while watching them talk. Not planning to interrupt them any time soon.
Was it because of manners? Absolutely not! Alistar was trying to use it as a means to get an idea of what they were talking about. He wasn't an eavesdropper he just wanted to confirm if what he thought was correct.
'As I thought, Theo would also be following us.' Alistar said to himself after hearing Theo say that he hoped to get a cool ability.
"I can't wait. I'll grow extremely strong- Uh... Humph..." Still angry at what Alistar had said to them in the afternoon, Theo had turned his head away from Alistar after he saw the latter.
'What is wrong with this sissy?' Flabbergasted at Theo's tsundere-like behavior, Alistar could only stare at him with a confused face.
'Oh right, it's cause of that.' Alistar thought after remembering the harsh words he told Theo.
But did he care if the bastard was pissed? Of course not, he had better things to do than to console a tsundere guy.
"Sister Lilith, can I have dinner now?" Alistar asked in a polite tone after seeing that the tsundere boy who was giving off femboy vibes had stopped talking.
"Follow me." She replied, giving the tsundere Theo one last glance before walking away.
She didn't know why he had stopped talking but as the person who took care of them, it was kind of her job to find out what was wrong with the children in her care.
Seeing Sister Lilith was already a good distance away from them, Alistar walked towards Theo with his usual easygoing smile plastered on his face.
When he reached Theo's side, Alistar placed his hand on Theo's shoulder and said. "I don't appreciate the emotions, I'm not gay so I think it's best you wrap it up and don't show them in front of me or I'll beat you till you're straight."
After he had finished talking, Alistar's smile extended from one ear to another as he turned around and left a dumbfounded Hazel and Theo behind him.
Finally processing what Alistar had said after his shock vanished, Theo roared with a face that was reddened from anger. "I swear I'll kill you!"
His voice was loud alright but not loud enough to attract the attention of Sister Lilith who just finished serving Alistar's food.
Simple-minded idiots are the best to tease.' Alistar thought. Taking a bite out of the bread in his hands, he had a grin plastered on his face when he imagined Theo's livid expression.
Back in his room in about thirty minutes, Alistar walked towards his bed before lying down on it.
"Too bad I can't use it anytime soon," Alistar muttered while looking at the ceiling with a bitter smile.
Ten Dimensions was the name of the Technique he had received from The Honored One.
